In a dark castle far far away, Dawnbreaker sits comfortably on a throne, with something on his mind.
Peril: Good evening master, How may I be of service? (Peril asks as he enters the room)
Dawnbreaker: How goes the search for Midnight and Kronos?
Peril: I sent my Evil Eyes to scour the earth in search of them, but they have not been found. (Peril informs him with an Evil Eye Curse floating on his palm, which is actually a giant eyeball)
Dawnbreaker: How is that possible? Kronos and Midnight are extremly powerful, how can they just vanish off the face of the earth? Do you think the Spirits had something to do with this?
Peril: Unlikely, I also sent an Evil Eye to the Spirit Kingdom, apparently they've created a barrier that seperates them from the outside world. The barrier is old, probably created after we were imprisoned in the Voidstone. (Peril says as he shows Dawnbreaker images of the barrier, with the Evil Eye)
Dawnbreaker: So they have nothing to do with the disapperance. Continue your search, tell me if.....
Peril: Something's coming! It's incredibly fast and will be here in seconds! (Peril yells as he gets into a battle stance)
The ceiling collapses as someone crashes through it. As the dust settles, the evil Leon Kronos stares at the duo with glee.
Peril: How dare you! I will rip you apart! (Peril threatens as his armour releases ominous energy)
Dawnbreaker: Wait, I will deal with this insect myself. (Dawnbreaker says as rises from his throne and summons his War hammer into his hand)
Leon stands tall and faces the approaching Dawnbreaker, as he raises his war hammer, ready to smite him.
Leon Kronos: My, Look how you've grown. (Leon says with a smile as he stares up at Dawnbreaker)
Dawnbreaker: What? (Dawnbreaker asks in confusion)
Leon Kronos: Is this how you treat the being, who taught you how to be a great demon? (Kronos asks)
Dawnbreaker stares into Leon's eyes and could see a Dragon dwelling within them. Dawnbreaker then drops his hammer and hugged Kronos.
Dawnbreaker: It's good to see you again, mentor! (Dawnbreaker tells him happily)
Leon Kronos: It looks like the student has surpassed the master, your strength is now incredible young prince.
Dawnbreaker: Thanks for the compliment, I had to work very hard to get to where I am today. (Dawnbreaker says after releasing his embrace)
Peril: I had forgotten how close these two were. If I ever tried to hug Dawnbreaker, he would probably crush me with his hammer. (Peril thought jealously)
Dawnbreaker: What happened to you? Where have you been all this time? (Dawnbreaker asks)
Leon Kronos: After I narrowly escaped getting trapped in the Voidstone, I was ambushed by some Mages and ended up being trapped in another dimension by one of them....The one who trapped me later killed himself, so I couldn't escape from that dimension the normal way. I had to Curse that Mage's descendants in order to force them to release me.
Peril: You cursed the power which his descendants would naturally inherit, that is brilliant. (Peril praises)
Leon Kronos: That was the plan, but as you know humans are stubborn. Despite all my efforts they all refused to release me. Luckily this one made a mistake that allowed me to take over his body. (Kronos explains while he shows off the mutated body of Leon, which he now inhabits)
Dawnbreaker: I've met this human before, now I understand why he was so strong, it was your strength he had.
Peril: To think that I almost killed Kronos. If Master Dawnbreaker finds out, he will skin me alive. (Peril thought)
Note: Peril is referring to the Hell lord incident.
Dawnbreaker: Tell me mentor. What happened to Midnight? (Dawnbreaker asks in a worried tone)
Leon Kronos: I do not know... When the Voidstone was trapping us all, Midnight was the one who saved me. He used his Dark magic to carry us away from the scene, but the after effect of the Voidstone's power left us completely powerless.
Kronos recollects the day it happened.
Midnight: Go Kronos! Find somewhere to hide until your powers return! (Midnight tells the dragon)
Midnight was an armour Great Demon. His armor being completely made of darkness, yet it looked as sturdy as steel.
Kronos: What about you? I can't leave you in this state. (Kronos tells him, for the armoured Midnight was too weak to move)
Midnight: I'll be fine, I can hide my presence, you can't... Just go! (Midnight yells for the mighty dragon to go)
The recollection ends.
Leon Kronos: I regret leaving everyday... Shortly after that, I was trapped by that Mage. (Kronos tells Dawnbreaker, ashamed of his past decision to leave Midnight)
Dawnbreaker: It's not your fault, you were powerless after all. (Dawnbreaker said sadly)
Leon Kronos: That won't be the case for long. I have a way of returning to my former glory.
Peril: I'm not sure that's possible.
Leon Kronos: Everything is possible when you're a dragon of my caliber. I plan on using a powerful artifact known as a Rebirth Stone.
Peril: A Rebirth Stone?! Those are extremely rare! (Peril says in surprise)
Leon Kronos: Yes, there are only three in existence, and I have one of them.
Dawnbreaker: I have heard of Rebirth Stones, they are said to be able to restore anyone back to their prime.
Leon Kronos: With it I will be restored to my original form and regain all my powers.
Dawnbreaker: I love it, we make preparations at once! But first we must discuss a bit more, and catch up for lost time.
Leon Kronos: Gladly. (Kronos says as he happily leaves with Dawnbreaker)
Peril: I'm glad Kronos is back, It made master a bit happy. But he would be happier if he knew where his brother was... Where are you, Midnight? (Peril wonders as he stands alone and confused)
Meanwhile Lance Grey has decided on what mission to go on as a Silver Ranked Mage.
Lance Grey: Hey Astrid, I was wondering why the reward for this mission is so high, A hundred silver coins is a lot of money to just investigate if something dangerous is in a forest. (Lance asks as he shows Astrid the mission tablet)
Astrid Onsworth: You know that ever since the Great Demons were released, people have been very scared. It may be nothing but it's better to confirm it than letting the locals live in fear.
Lance Grey: What am I supposed to find?
Astrid Onsworth: I don't know, The people living near the Lunar Forest have been complaining, some say they can sense something ominous in the forest and refuse to enter it.
Lance Grey: (Thinks for a moment) I'll do this mission, so that the people there can continue living peacefully. (Lance tells her)
Astrid Onsworth: Good luck! Come back safe. (Astrid tells Lance as he leaves)
As Lance is about to leave the Guild, three young individuals stop him.
Jake Mercury (Bronze Ranked Adventurer): Hi there, I'm Jake Mercury. Are you Lance Grey? (One of the trio asks)
Lance Grey: Yes I am, Can I help you?
Adam Bright (Bronze Ranked Adventurer): We are Warriors, And we would like to accompany you on your mission.
Lance Grey: Oh I think there's some kind of mistake, I'm a Silver Ranked Mage now, and the mission I'm going on is also Silver Ranked. (Lance explains nervously)
Jessica Jade (Bronze Ranked Adventurer): We know, Warriors sometimes go with Mages and lend them support with their missions, in exchange we share the reward.
Lance Grey: (Thinks to himself) I did not know that. Wait a minute, that means I could have gone on missions with Lora and the others, did they not just want to go on missions with me? (Lance wonders)
Note: Yes, Because Lance is incredibly strong and would obviously dominate in a battle. Also they wanted to get stronger individually, without relying on others.
Jake Mercury: Please let us go with you! We promise to make ourselves useful! (Jake begs shamelessly as he falls to his knees)
Adam Bright: Get a hold of yourself! You're embarrassing us! (Adam yells as he tries to bring the pleading Jake to his feet)
Jessica Jade: We weren't qualified to enter the Mage Academy, that's why we settled for being Warriors. But Bronze Ranked missions don't pay very well and we need to support our families. Please, let us come with you, we shall lend you all the support you need, and earn a share in the reward.
Lance Grey: (Goes to Astrid) Could I take them on this mission? I promise to look after them!
Astrid Onsworth: I don't know, only experienced Adventurers go with weaker comrades. But if you feel that you can go on a mission with them, you can take them along.
Lance Grey: Thank you so much Astrid. (Lance tells her happily)
Astrid Onsworth: Just be careful, that's a lot of responsibility you're shouldering.
Lance Grey: Don't worry I can handle it.....(Thinks to himself) If I hadn't managed to pass my Aptitude test, I would probably be in their situation, but since I'm in a position to help them, I will do everything in my power to make sure we succeed.
Back at the Great Demon's Castle
Dawnbreaker: Crash, I want you to accompany Kronos to the Lunar Forest and protect him until he retrieves the Rebirth Stone.
Crash The Great Demon of Speed: Why Boss?! I don't think he needs a babysitter. (Crash complained)
Dawnbreaker: (Summoned his hammer to his hand) What did you say you imbecile?! (Dawnbreaker asks in a terrifying manner)
Crash: I'm sorry Great Dawnbreaker! I will make sure he comes back safe and sound! (Crash assured as he trembled on his knees)
Leon Kronos: I really don't need a babysitter, I can take care of myself.
Dawnbreaker: I know, you're still strong even in this state mentor. But I will not allow you to go into the human world without adequate protection.
Leon Kronos: Okay, I'll accept your protection. At least until I can regain my full power.
Peril: Portal's ready, It will take you straight to the Lunar Forest. (Peril said after he opening a portal)
Leon Kronos: Finally, come on Crash. Let's go retrieve my Rebirth Stone. (Kronos says as he enters the portal, and Crash flies in after him)
