Leon Chronos goes home to visit his family in the Noble Domain, with his mission to the Soul kingdom coming up, he wants to say goodbye to his mother and sister before he leaves. With an ability that slowly kills you, you have to say goodbye often, just in case it's the last time.
As Leon enters his home, he is greeted by his younger sister Amanda.
Amanda Chronos: Leon! (Amanda yells, hugging her elder brother)
Leon Chronos: Hey shorty, how've you been? (Leon asks with a smile on his face)
Amanda Chronos: (Groans) Terrible, I haven't still gotten my Time magic yet. (Amanda complains)
Leon Chronos: Time magic?, you don't need Time magic, you've got Space Magic! (Leon tells her extravagantly)
Amanda Chronos: Yay Space magic, so useful. (Amanda says sarcastically)
Leon Chronos: Hey, I have Space magic too, And it's very useful.
Amanda Chronos: That's because you can use it to fly, seal energy and teleport. My teleportation isn't even that good, I can't even teleport a whole person yet. (She tells Leon sadly)
Leon Chronos: That's what makes you deadly, you could just teleport a monster's head clean off its body and bam!, instant death. (Leon tells her vividly)
Amanda Chronos: Hmm, that could work. Thanks Leon you just made my day. (Amanda tells him with a smile)
Leon Chronos: Just be careful not to hurt anyone.
Amanda Chronos: Come on, who do you take me for, I'm Amanda Chronos the adventurer, the only things getting hurt today are some magic beasts. Bye! (Amanda tells Leon before giving him another hug and leaving the house)
Amanda is an expert in hand to hand combat, normally you would need to master magic to become a Mage, but she passed her exams basically without using her magic, Being the sister of the No 1 Elite mage also played a part in making it possible. Amanda had always struggled with her Space magic, Leon believes it is a result of her still waiting for her time powers, Their father died when she was very young, so she doesn't really remember the curse, and Leon prefers it that way, he doesn't want Amanda to worry about the death that looms over their family, Leon intends to break this curse so that his sister can live a normal life, free from Kronos.
As Leon sits in the now empty house, he thinks about his life, he realises that he hasn't really done a lot with his life so far, he's never had a girlfriend or any real friends, besides his comrades in the Elite mages, this makes Leon yearn for a normal life as well, but with his curse, that would never happen.
As Leon continues to sulk, his mother enters the house.
Meridith Chronos: I'm home, Amanda where are you? (Meridith asks, unaware that Leon is back)
Leon Chronos: Hey mom. (Leon says, making his presence known)
Meridith Chronos: Leon, you're back. (she hugs her son) Look at you...so handsome.
Leon Chronos: I know, I am charming. (Leon jokes)
Meridith Chronos: You should find a nice girl and settle down, before you get old like me.
Leon Chronos: Come on, not this again. (Leon says, avoiding the topic)
Meridith Chronos: Why not?, I want grandchildren, Is that too much to ask?
Leon Chronos: (Groans) Fine, I'll try my best to find a nice girl and settle down.
Meridith Chronos: Good, Because you can't spend your life alone, you need someone to share it with.
Leon Chronos: Is there even a point?
Meridith Chronos: Yes there is...Leonardo you're not going to die, you're an amazing Elite mage and you will beat this curse, I believe in you. (She tells him with a warm smile)
Leon Chronos: Thanks mom....Where did you go anyway? (Leon asks as he notices the bags she left behind)
Meridith Chronos: I went to the market to get some groceries, now that you're here, why don't I make you a special meal?
Leon Chronos: I'd like that. (Leon tells her happily)
Meridith prepares a meal, and Leon eats to his satisfaction.
Leon Chronos: Thank you for the food, It was delicious. (Leon tells her, before taking care of the dirty dishes)
After Leon is done with the dishes, he prepares to head out.
Leon Chronos: Well, I must be on my way now.
Meridith Chronos: Are you on a mission?
Leon Chronos: Yeah, I'm going to the Soul kingdom to retrieve their Voidstone, wish me luck. (Leon tells her with an insincere smile)
Meridith hugs her son tightly, almost like she feels he won't come back.
Meridith Chronos: I wish you the best of luck, you will make it through this, I'll never doubt that. (Meridith tells Leon with tears in her eyes)
Leon Chronos: Goodbye mom. (Leon whispers, holding back his tears as he hugs her back)
After Leon leaves the house, he goes to the location where Gwenevier, Mr Perfect and Lance have been waiting for him.
Mr Perfect: Took you long enough, where have you been?
Leon Chronos: I forgot something at home and went to retrieve it.
Gwenevier Topaz: I really don't care to know, let's just go already, we're burning daylight!.(Gwenevier tells him impatiently)
Leon Chronos: Okay then, let's do this! (Leon says, before coming to stand in their midst)
Lance Grey: How are we going to get to the Soul Kingdom?, I don't see a carriage or Locomotive. (Lance asks as he looks around)
Leon Chronos: That's because we're going in style, Hang on tight! (Leon yells as he raises his finger into the air, And they're all instantly teleported to the Soul Kingdom)
Meanwhile in a cave near the Soul kingdom, Mistress Copy and Hell mage are meeting up with a Demon.
Mistress Copy: Pariah, I have the first half of the Voidstone, where is the second? (Copy says as she holds out the half of the Voidstone)
Pariah The Demon: I don't have it yet. (He tells Copy bluntly)
Mistress Copy: What!, You said you would get the other half of the Voidstone! (Mistress Copy yells in anger, with her eyes burning with energy)
Hell Mage: I told you not to trust this guy!, let's end him! (Hell mage yells, preparing to attack Pariah)
Pariah: Calm yourselves, I told you that I could get the Soul kingdom's Voidstone anytime I wish, and I still can, our deal was that I would steal it after you brought me the Heart kingdom's Voidstone. (Pariah reminds them)
Mistress Copy: Okay, I remember, we apologize for losing our temper. (Copy apologizes sincerely)
Hell Mage: Yeah, sorry about that. (Hell mage apologizes, less sincerely)
Pariah: Apology accepted, Besides it's not your fault, you two have been through a lot, you may not be a true demon, but you can still trust me Clonera. (Pariah says, calling Copy by her real name)
Mistress Copy: I've outgrown that name, only refer to me as, Mistress Copy. (She demands)
