Demons, Curses, and Magic Beasts. These were the threats that the Great Demons brought upon humanity. When the Great Demons first attacked, they systematically destroyed every single city mankind had ever built, and all those who tried to oppose them were easily wiped out.
The humans started to hide, and it became harder and harder for the Great Demons to find and eradicate them. That's when the Demons and Curses came into play. Unlike the Magic Beasts which were wild and unpredictable, Demons and Curses were loyal and very intelligent, so the Great Demons sicced them on mankind.
Compared to Demons, Curses were saints. Demons often enjoyed toturing and punishing their victims, keeping them alive for weeks just to be tortured and mutilated.
