I came back into the room finding Sally just where I had left her here with my trustable friends. Surprisingly, Sally seemed relieved to see me. Makes me wonder what they were talking about since she looked fairly stressed.
"How did that go?" Jay asked.
"Well, it's done," I said. "We have a busy schedule for tomorrow."
Aaron asked, "What time?"
"Early tomorrow morning, we met with the Baron, and then afterward we met with Grandfather and the Elders for another meeting with them," I answered by telling them the plan. "Then we go to the High Court to discipline some boys."
Jay nodded, "sounds like a full day."
"Yes, it will be," I agreed and then looked at Sally sitting there so quietly. 'It's nice to see you're still here in one piece."
Sally playfully rolled her eyes and smiled." Hey, I didn't get hurt today. Jay, Zig, and Daniel saved me just in time from the lioness," she tried innocently justifying.
She was being naive about that dangerous encounter she had with that lioness. I partly rolled my eyes thinking how silly and cute she acted. Then I reached down and grabbed her hand and made her stand.
"Thank goodness for that," I smiled. "Anyways, let's go to this one game room. I need to talk with John about his son Jake and I need to speak with Pete about his daughter Sofia."
I cupped Sally's hand and started leaving the room.
"If their kids were involved. Pete will flip if his daughter Sofia has gotten hurt." Aaron got up saying.
Jay, Aaron, and Nick started to walk out of the room and followed us. While we were making our way around many rooms, Nick said, walking near us. "Everybody is going to flip if their daughters are hurt. Any boy who hurt my daughter would be dead too."
"Trust me there is a load of upset fathers right now," I said, being quite serious. "Since Pete and John are here. I'll tell them in person."
Once I found the game room John, Pete, Maria, and Courtney were in. Altogether, they were playing pool. Once I entered I released Sally's hand and she kinda strayed a little behind me as I walked up to them at the end of the pool table. Pete and Courtney were standing on the left side of the pool table. While John and Maria stood on the right side.
"Since you're both here instead of sending a message I'll just tell you both in person," I said after Pete took his shot.
Then John and Pete both set their pool sticks up against the pool table and gave me their full attention. Surely I could read the frustrated look on their faces.
"So I was informed Sofia and Jake were there when the fight happened." Just before John was about to go off like a bomb and Pete was vile himself, I quickly said. "But Jake wasn't the cause and he pulled Sofia out of harm's way. Along with a few other boys that spared more girls from being harmed. Jake and the rest of those boys who protected the girls aren't going to be punished."
Pete was very pleased and stupefied. "I wasn't expecting that to be the outcome. Seems like Jake outdid himself."
"No, I wasn't predicting that," John replied, stupefied too." But I shouldn't be surprised. I've known Jake has been interested in your daughter for some time now."
Maria was so excited to hear and Sally smiles quietly by my right. Courtney was happy but not completely exhilarated with Pete praising Jake so much. She leaned her pool stick by Pete's stick and then wrapped her arms around her husband's midsection.
Jay praised too, "Jake has good potential. He's almost ready for the next training level." Maria leaned herself against John's side, and Jay said to her. "Be prepared Maria, your son's next training level is going to be harder."
"He's my firstborn," Maria said with sadness. "I don't think I'll ever be fully prepared for that."
John said with hardly any emotion. "He'll be fine. He's turning out to be a good fighter and his scoring is good. He keeps it up, he'll be a Highest-ranked man in no time."
"Indeed, he wants to be in my division. He could end up being one of my top guys and take after you John," said Nick, impressed with Jake's heroics.
Aaron added, "For sure, and if Cory and Sally have a son. Jake could be General Commander for Cory's son once his a King rank. Who knows maybe, Cory's future son will be the next Primary King and the rest of these growing kids of that generation will outrank us all."
I couldn't help but laugh at what Aaron said.
Jay chuckled, "Then we all get to retire if that happens. The six strongest boys in their generation become the new Primaries. Just think if that happens John, Jake could be a future Primary taking over Nick's Division."
All of us guys further laughed about this idea if it did happen.
"Please don't get my hopes up," Nick cracked up joking.
While we may have been laughing into hysterics. I noticed Sally turned pale and even looked as if she could faint. Just in case she might fall over. I wrapped my arms around her waist and pulled her to my side.
"Well, that's if we can have kids. We don't need to rush anything. I am still undecided about a baby so soon. Mostly I want Sally to adjust to the wedding for now." More or less I said that to ease Sally's panicked state.
Of course, I had plans to have a baby but it's true. I'm not sure what success will have. Sally doesn't have a healthy reproduction system as it is. But regardless of that, I was happy to see, she looked relieved from me, soothing her worries by what I said. Luckily I think the guys took my hint that it was time to change the topic.
