Well, hearing this information makes me feel lucky I am not a hybrid Kingdom man. The businessmen never did such massive training. But I knew the Kingdom and Barons did. The wars and fighting came from their society. Who would've known my true birthing came directly from the Kingdom. Now I'll be in the middle of all their disputes.
Just out of nowhere it hit me fairly hard. The burning came back quickly and intensely. So I cuddled up further into Cory's lap. It's the only attempt I could think of to help ease up this burning. Thankfully, Cory snuggled me in closer. I guess he could sense it too.
So I took a deep breath and tried concentrating on the people having fun chilling around the fire. There was a lot of laughing I heard echoing out from below.
Right at that time, Mike and Jay returned to the room. Bringing in more snacks and glass bottled drinks.
Jay held up the one bottle and said. "Fair warning this one has shot mixtures in it."
Cory cocked a brow replying, "I do have a clear bottle of shots to mix with your drinks. It's under the bar."
"I saw that but this drink is good. You don't have this flavor. It's a mint smooth spice." Mike said practically licking his lips.
While I give him a weird look saying, "I've never heard of that flavor."
Mike took a seat between Matt and Nick while speaking. "I'd give you taste but with the shots added in it. I wouldn't recommend trying it. Next time, I'll have to mix one up without the shots."
"You could have just mixed it up here," Cory chuckled, seeming a bit flabbergast.
Jay chuckles confessing, "I was the one who mixed it. And I didn't think of that while I was down there. I forgot you have shots already up here."
Cory laughed while I was listening in. "Yeah, I usually have one bottle. I hardly use it. It's up here mostly for you guys since you're always in my room anyways."
Altogether, the men chuckled at Jay's forgetfulness. I guess he was just having one of those days. After passing out the snacks, he took a seat across from Cory and me with a filled glass in his hand.
"Yeah, I didn't think of that," Jay replied. "It's going to be different coming up here."
Now I was puzzled about what Jay meant by saying that. As I questioned that I felt Cory's hand rubbing me gently over the towel right on my mid-thigh. I had to say it felt so amazing to feel his tender touch.
"You mean different since Sally joined the crew?" Mike questioned.
Jay chuckled and replied. "Yup, that is what I mean. I'm already not used to knocking. I am used to just waking in."
Everyone chuckled fairly loud after Jay said this.
"Don't worry about it," Cory replied. "She usually dresses in the bathroom or in her closet."
"What about once you are married?" Mike asked, chuckling. "You're not going to be undressing privately forever."
Now I was starting to feel myself turn red from irritation. Do they seriously have to talk about this while I am in heat?
"Don't forget to add during your alone time together. Things will end up being romantic and you'll get intimate." Jay didn't forget to mention before sipping his drink.
Ugh! I was only getting more and more irritated by this absurd conversation. Of course, it didn't help to hear Cory chuckle beneath his chest.
"Will do what we always did," Cory replied beaming. "Just chill in the living room." The full idea of marriage was still new to him. So he was trying not to have this conversation during the moon phase. Yet, his friends weren't taking the hint to drop it.
Nick chuckled and said. "Cory, I think we're talking more on the fact when things start getting a little heated with you too. You're not always going to want to be on the bed. Take from my experience since I was married once."
The guys all laughed and Cory knew what they were talking about since the second Jay mentioned it.
Cory replied çhuckling to smoothly end the topic. "The door will be locked during those times. Just like how you did with your ex-wife Nick."
They just weren't getting it! I got super mad! Mad enough that I could feel that steam blowing out of my ears.
"Can you all just stop! Is this literally all you guys can talk about! Out of all the topics! Why do we keep going back around to this one!" I burst out angrily and was very mean at that. Yet I only got madder to hear them including Cory chuckling lightly beneath their breath.
Without thinking, Jay said stupidly. "It's the moon phase, Sally, what do you expect? You're feeling it too."
Cory smirked directly at him and warned. "Jay, no, that was a bad move."
From learning what a spitfire Sally can be. Cory had a hunch this was going to get ugly.
"The only thing I am feeling is massive burning in my stomach and around my body! Not the urge to jump in bed!" I yelled at the top of my lungs. My body jerked to get up but Cory hung onto me tightly. So I couldn't move from his lap. Like somehow he mentally knew I'd react like this towards Jay.
JJ said in a calm tone. "Sally, relax. Yelling and getting upset won't help because it will increase your temperature. That burning is a physical urge. It can easily turn into you wanting to kiss Cory again. Then he'll have to reject you again. You'll get extremely upset and go back to suffering. Right now you're feeling it but it's not overwhelming you. Let's try to keep it that way and get you through this."
"Yeah she's right we need to change the topic," Aaron agreed. "This conversation isn't helping her."
After Aaron said that I felt the burn throbbing in my stomach. I groaned in pain and curled my body up pretty tightly.
Cory cradles me closer to his torso and he gently touches my forehead.
"Her temperature is increasing," Cory told his friend and then said to me. "Sally, please try to relax. Ignore anything that might upset you."
Oh, I rolled my eyes hearing him telling me to relax. I mean seriously is he being for real or just stupid!
"Oh, now you care if I am upset or irritated. Yet back at the falls you didn't seem to care how I felt. Whenever you insulted me!" I got snippy and let him have it.
Cory said calmly, "I explained why I did that. For the record, I have always cared about you. There hasn't been a time I haven't cared."
