Chapter 202 - Ch 202: Two Days Off

No doubt, we knew Sally was lying. Her cheeks blushed so cutely and his fingers fiddled like they always do when she's nervous or embarrassed about something. I looked at my friends and noticed they were cutting her a break. By holding in their laughter. Normally, the jokes and tease would come non-stop from them.

"Alright, well let's get going," I said making this easier on her, and took her hand back. And we walked left down the Grand Hall. Until we reached the glass doors, everyone was going out through. Upon seeing Maria standing around talking to Abby. With everyone else, waiting for everybody to meet here. I released her hand and she went flying up to be with Maria and Abby.

I kinda strayed back, stepping off to the side to allow everyone else out, and made sure I wasn't too close for Sally to hear me.

"See what I mean," Jay followed me whispering. "Some of these ladies go nuts during their heat cycle. Sally is acting so weird! She just hit herself in the head! Pretty hard for that matter."

Whenever it came to women, Jay never understood them during their heat cycle or just in general. A women's emotions weren't something he could comprehend in his head.

Overhearing Jay, JJ came in whispering. "Give her a break, Jay! This is her first heat cycle with the imprint. Plus there are other newlyweds here with fresh bonds too. Their wives are acting just as odd. With Sally, we just need to get her through this." JJ lecture him as Jay just chuckled still not understanding it. JJ however, understood this. And this is why JJ is my Primary in charge of the Division that involves medical scenarios, like a woman's heat cycle.

Mike came up chuckling like the goofball I know him all too well for.

"I like her cover up with hitting herself. She was eyeing you up, Cory. I think she hit herself to wake up from googling her eyeballs on you there, Cory." Mike teased stating something I already knew.

But I also, knew it was my fault because of what I did to her in the room, I pridefully thought. Yet, I felt proud to keep myself under control. Whereas she may have felt no self-control, I was still holding it together.

"Thanks for the insight, Mike! I think we all could tell she lied as to why she hit herself." I chuckled and said softly yet sarcastically.

And left out what happened in the room that triggered her bizarre behavior was from me kissing and nibbling on her neck.

The guys just chuckled and veered off some as I went nearby Sally from behind her back.

"Ok, so where are we going?" I overheard her asking Maria.

Maria said giggling, "I guess Cory hasn't shared this with you."

"Nope, I haven't," I jumped into the conversation. Causing Sally to turn around slightly startled as I half-smiled at her.

She rolled her eyes but had this flirty glow in her complexion. "Are you going to tell me now that you snuck up on me?" She asked sassing in a fun way.

Abby and Maria chuckled with me at her bold cute sassy attitude.

"Once everyone is ready, we are taking a walk in the forest," I shared. Still not sharing the whole details.

"With our swimsuits on?" Sally questioned making Abby and Maria giggle more. As I saw Rick coming up from behind his wife, Abby.

"Yes, you'll need your swimsuit. During the moon phase, we always do something fun together within Kingdom." Abby told Sally across my view as Rick pulled her back into his torso. She jumped a little but didn't scream since she figured out it was Rick when he kisses her temple. Sally stepped off to my right side to form an uncompleted cycle.

As I explained giving her more insight. "Yup, during the moon phase and also the tournaments. We all have code laws that we honor. Enemies aren't allowed to attack one another for two days. Kingdom and Baron Societies take this time to chill once a month during the moon phase. Within those two days, there isn't any training. This is a time when the husbands can enjoy being with their wives. All the kids leave to be with other family members like their grandparents or whoever else. Throughout the whole Kingdom, we relax and enjoy ourselves."

"So that's why you don't have anybody guarding inside the mansion and out on the property," said Sally as she smiled.

"That would be why, my sweet," I told her.

"What are these code laws?" She asked being curious to learn. Like she always has such a curious beautiful mind that wants to learn.

Out of nowhere, Nick came walking up on Sally's right. With a pretty blonde entangled around his waist. Sally was kinda baffled by it since they had hardly been outside for like five minutes. Within that short amount of time, he already snatched a different pretty face, she thought.

"Codes are just rules we honor and have to obey to avoid punishment from our Keepers. We might not get along and want to kill each other. But we do have honor and respect for how we do it. For the most part at times." Nick added in from overhearing the conversation.

"Who are the Keepers?" Sally asked puzzled as Mike and Matt came up beside me on the left of our half-cycle.

"A bunch of pains that like to think their the higher power over our Kingdom and Baron Societies. More or less they try to make sure no one goes overbroad with what we're capable of doing. But I'll explain the Keepers at a later time." I said as she kinda nods taking my words for it.

Mike said standing between Maria and Matt. "Yeah, you don't even need to waste your moon phase with talking about the Keepers. The codes are more for the men to follow, anyways. These two days the ladies get to be with their husbands, the ones who are courting can be with each other, and just all of us in general as a Kingdom can hangout without the threat of attacks or anything else. The military men can put down their weapons for two days. Although, the hangout day starts more tomorrow. A lot of married couples will enjoy their intimacy once the moon peaks."

"Mike, I just explained that to her," I informed as everyone laughed.

"Oh, well, I wasn't aware of that," said Mike feeling sheepish as we still laughed at him.

Standing between Mike and me, Matt said half-grinning. "Well, then between three to ten days. We may discover some new arrivals in the future to welcome into our Kingdom."

Sally says giggling, "by that you mean new little unborns."

Matt then said with a chuckle. "Yup, now you're getting it."

Now John joined our chatting cycle pulling Maria into his torso to hold her.
