Ashley moved down the bench allowing Amelia to take a seat. She wrapped her arm over my shoulders and said very gently. "Listen, Sally, I didn't want to marry Cory's father either it was an arranged marriage. Cory's father absolutely loved me. I had many proposal offers but being the Highest-Ranked Kingdom Grandfather Phil got the first choice for his sons. Just like you, I was a wreck. I ran away a few times. I even ran away a few hours before my wedding, so things were a little postponed. Nevertheless, I was still forced to marry Tony at the age of a hundred. Still only being a teenage girl, I was forced to leave my home Kingdom and family to unite my Kingdom with Tony's Kingdom. And I hated Tony, my father, Phil, and even their men. For bringing back me after every attempt I made to flee."
"How did you get through it?" I asked sadly only looking at the white carpet.
"I found my courage and accepted my responsibility to be a future Queen rank marrying a Primary King's son. It was a beautiful reception and we left for our honeymoon that night during the moon phase. Something powerful happened to us through our bond during the moon phase. Tony was so loving and gentle with me on our first night as a newly wedded couple. Before I realized it I fall deeply in love with him." Amelia finished up her love story.
Meanwhile, I couldn't talk to anybody it was only making me face the realization that this is happening. Yes, I've already known this wedding is going to happen but it didn't mean there was still a battle inside me. There was still a part of me that wanted to prevent the wedding from ever taking place.
Breaking the silence, Fiona said standing in front of me. "Your not alone in what you feel Sally. What you feel right now is normal and it will pass."
"I just wish this wasn't happening," I barely whispered.
"Honey," Fiona presumed to speak. "Think of it this way, at least you're not marrying a man who can marry multiple wives. I have handfuls of friends that have to share their husbands with other wives, including mistresses. And I can tell you now they're miserable because their husband doesn't love them. A hybrid man can only truly love one wife if he were to form an imprint. Even a man's most favorable wife isn't truly loved without a bond. But you and my grandson have this bond connection. Therefore I've already known he's loved you. Otherwise, this wouldn't be happening. He's always sworn off ever marrying any Princess. As a matter of fact, he was quite reluctant to never get married."
I looked at her and said. "Cory shared this with me. Although I still question if he would've married Rachel if it wasn't for him capturing me."
"Listen, sweetie, Cory used to crush on her and other princesses in his teenage years. But growing up and maturing Cory discovered he couldn't stand her or any of the princesses, he counted. He doesn't want a woman that only hungers for the power he has. Rachel has wrongly divided up the whole Kingdom with jealousy and hatred." Kimberly clarified.
"So I've heard," I replied sighing.
"Well, I did tell you," Maria added faintly smiling.
"Anyway, Rachel will probably end up marrying one of our cousins. She's had a couple of them that had their eyes on her. So I wouldn't worry about her." Kimberly lastly stated.
"Ok, fine," I retorted in fury. "Could somebody tell me why a Primary King would take me, a formal slave born as a tubebaby to be his wife? Shouldn't Royals marry other Royals! Why would he want me? Why do I feel as if I am being lied to about being the firstborn tubebaby Princess? Let alone it still doesn't explain why I am so divergent from our female Kind! Anytime, I ask Cory, he seems to get angry and ignores me which makes it more suspicious!"
Amelia was quick to answer. "Sally, what we tell you is the truth about yourself with being the firstborn tubebaby Princess, your birthed to marry Cory. Since you developed uniquely, this is the reason why you are a bit divergent. Also, Cory is only getting angry because you keep asking a question he has already answered. Cory's like his father, Tony doesn't like repeating himself either. And not all Royals marry other Royals. Any Head King or King rank Royal can marry whoever they wish. Most Royal men have many wives and not all their chosen wives are from royalty"
Partly lying made Amelia's throat feel raw and her subconscious was screaming. But she couldn't betray her son, Cory if she told Sally the truth. The wedding would be canceled by Sally claiming her rights. Things might get
ugly between Cory and Sally, she speculated. Cory and Sally could end up brokenhearted if anything affected the bond they had. Cory wasn't in a good place since having this bond connection put him on the more valuable side, Amelia imagined. So she didn't want any of that to happen and understood the Royal men were right.
Sally wasn't ready to face this truth about herself. She needed Cory and all of them more than Sally realized. So Amelia told her subconscious she lied only to protect Sally from meeting a bigger fate too soon that was beyond any female's comprehension. Amelia couldn't imagine how Sally will face the truth about her identity once it was revealed to her one day.
Again I heard every word Amelia said yet her body language was off. Like she may have been partly lying. Amelia only repeated what I had been told countless times now. Yet, my subconscious still wasn't buying this. There is a deeper secret here. A secret I attend to figure out. Even if I have figured it out by myself.
