Chapter 150 - Ch 150: The wolf pack

Now Nick and JJ came hiking down the trail seeing us on the log.

Overhearing us laughing, Nick asked. "What are all you loser laughing about?" They came around the log standing in front of us sitting on the log. "Oh, and I am not calling the pretty one a loser."

"Awe, thanks Nick," Aaron missed around knowing well he was talking about Sally. "I never knew you saw me as the pretty one."

We all started to laugh hard again and even Sally giggled a little. Yup, this was our normal. Although, I am surprised my pals have been keeping the dirty jokes down. I think they knew Sally wasn't ready for that just yet.

Nick laughed fairly hard. "You're so full of yourself, Aaron!" Aaron just cackled for the moment. As Nick looked at Luna fixed on Sally. "I see Luna is taking a liking to Sally.

"How did the introduction go with the wolves?" Asked JJ.

"Well, she got a little startled by Beast and ended up colliding real hard into Aaron," I enlightened him while giving Sally an uneven grin. I knew what was coming next from JJ. I started to count the seconds in my head.

Barely making it to three, JJ made Aaron scooch down the log so he could take a seat by Sally. "Oh really." JJ started, but Sally give him this strange lost look. "You didn't get any injuries?" He asked checking her over for any injuries.

Yeah, this is what JJ did. If anybody ever got hurt he was always mentally prepared to aid. It came naturally to him. But I noticed Sally was sorta thrown off. We could just tell nobody ever properly care for her. Which made me irritated to even see this. JJ was gentle with her when looked at her arms and felt her ribs in a non-sexual way.

"I'm a little banged up but I think I'm okay." Aaron joked getting JJ's attention and saw that plaster snicker on his face. But we understood Aaron teased to help Sally feel less tense with us.

"Aaron!" JJ threatened out teasingly "I'm going to drown you in the creek."

His harmless threat caused us, including Sally to chuckle. That nervous expression across her face subsided and she started to lighten up to realize JJ is only trying to help her. The playful jokes were seemingly working which is what we needed. This was all part of the first stage of adjustment. Once she gets used to my Primaries and I, then will need to get her used to my Highest-Ranked men.

Sally just looked at JJ saying. "I'm fine."

"I checked her for a concussion. She seems good and surprisingly she didn't sustain any no broken bones." I told JJ who gave me a nod when he looked at me.

"Yeah, I'm shocked about that," Aaron said. "She hit me hard enough to knock herself off balance."

JJ cupped her face and examined her eyes. "I noticed your hands look a little swollen from the impact but yeah no concussion." He released her face and

stood back up. "Sally, I must say you are a tough little lady."

She giggled for a second. "I said I was fine."

"Before too long you'll get used to JJ." Jay told her, "He's the Primary in charge of the medical field. He's always ready to go when he or anybody in his Division hears somebody got hurt."

Sally giggles for a second and give JJ a grateful smile. She didn't have to say anything. We could see she inwardly thanked JJ but she was shy about it. She barely knew us, so we understood this will take time for her to get comfortable with us.

We all watched as she reached her hand out. Finally getting brave to touch Luna laying up-right on her belly by Sally's shoes. Luna smiled through her eyes while Sally shimmered one on her face. As we watched in silence to let her get acquainted.

"Why is her fur so soft and Beast's coat is rough?" She asked glancing at me.

"Because he's a male. The females are one with softer fur. Beast takes good care of his mate, all the males do."

Sally fully eyed me gleaming as I signaled for her to look up. To her surprise, more of the pack started to arrive over on the opposite creekside from us. The older pups were even shyly peering further out from around the trees. Some of the semi-smaller pups were even underneath their mothers' bellies and peeked out from around their mothers' legs. Which was normal behavior when smelling a new scent. But the full-grown wolves weren't shy but were curious.

Each wolf was a variety of colors either mixed or a solid color. Being a range of grey, black, tan, brown, blues, fawn, calico, red, and so on. Luna and Beast were the only ones out of the pack that was a solid black and white color.

Sally was barely meeting a portion of the pack. Some of them were gradually leaving the cave den just a little ways up over that rocky steep. I had them all back off from the mansion until I had Sally meet Beast and Luna. Mentally, I passed the message to Beast that the pack could prowl freely. Normally, they're all over the property and even inside the mansion. Between hybrid-human and wolf creatures, we were like a family together.

"They are all such beautiful creatures," Sally said merely whispering in amazement as her eyes veered in many different.

I kinda looked around and noticed a dim haze coming into the forest.

"Let's start heading back," I said looking at Sally. "I'm sure dim light will be nearing soon. We can turn in for the night."

My friends nodded in agreement with my statement.

"I'm going to get Samantha and head to bed," Nick said. "I could use a good rest."

Most of us chuckled at Nick and understood he was tired but still kept going.
