Just then a knock came at the door. Cory walked down to answer it. While I placed the box on the vanity.
Cory opened the door finding JJ outside. "I'm here to check on, Sally," JJ said coming into the room with a medical briefcase.
"She's in the bedroom." Replied Cory and lead him down the hallway. Until they found her pretty face staring up at them by the front of the bed.
Very easily, Cory said. "Sally, I want JJ to check you over."
I kinda nodded not liking the idea but I could see from their faces, that I wasn't getting out of it.
"Take a seat on the bed for me." Politely, JJ said and smiled.
Once I sat on the end of the bed. JJ did the same and started examining the minor scrapes on my legs and arms. I must've been in a lot of shock. Since I never noticed I was banged up this badly. After he checked me over, he open up the briefcase-carrying tons of neatly organized medical supplies. He pulled out a couple of healing wipes and opened them. Then he started healing and cleaning up all the crusty bloody scrapes. It was painful but finally over with. Then he held my face and looked deeply into my eyes.
"Her eyes look clear," JJ confirmed to Cory standing there watching. "I think the drug is finally worn off now and she is good." Once releasing my face from checking the sedation, he asked. "This is up to you, Sally. Would you like me to remove your slave mark?"
I was flabbergast from hearing what he asked me. "I didn't know you could take it off." I looked at my wrist touching it. "I thought it was a permanent mark."
"With our higher advanced medical technology and techniques. We can remove it without a mark. You'll be my wife, not my slave." Cory said.
"But it will be painful," JJ warned. "I can cut off the branded mark and then use the healing wipe to heal it. There won't be a mark or scar anymore."
"Will it hurt as badly as when you cut into my broken arm?" I asked him sarcastically showing my attitude.
JJ smiled feeling guilty. "It will be less painful and much faster." He said sincerely. "After everything you had gone through today. I didn't want to inflict any more pain on you."
Out of all the guys, JJ had a lot of care in his heart, I thought. As I even glanced at my slave mark again and touched it with my fingertips.
I faced JJ and said softly, "I want it off."

JJ got out his cutting knives and the rest of the supplies needed. Cory crawled on the bed to sit behind me for extra support. I held out my arm and JJ first placed this small scanner device over the mark. It looked like a phone but was silver in color.
JJ said calmly, "okay, this will hurt."
He pushed a button on top of the screen. Instant pain shot into my wrist and my body flew back into Cory. I took a deep breath and screeched out from the discomfort. But Cory cradled me right into his torso and kissed the back of my head as I squealed in pain and started to squirm. But JJ held my arm down in place and Cory held my body.
"Shhhh, it's ok," Cory told me.
Soon JJ turned off the device and took it away from my arm. I was in horrible pain and looked at my wrist to see it was burned and red. As I saw JJ took a fine razor but Cory cupped my eyes so I couldn't see.
"You don't need to see what happens next," Cory said softly.
I realized he was being protective of me and I wasn't sure how it made me feel. But he was right once, I felt that blade scape my skin. I screamed super loudly in agony! Cory ended up cupping my mouth. I felt sweat beading down my forehead and my body shook in pain as I fought them without meaning to. Then I felt a soft tissue...
JJ was fast and cut down scraping the mark off from underneath her wrist. Then wipes the blood away with a cloth. Lastly, he used a healing wipe to finish up the procedure.
"It's done." JJ finally said cleaning up his stuff.
Instantly Cory released his hands off my eyes and mouth. He leaned me back into his torso and hugged me. I felt him remove my hair to the side and he gave me two tender kisses around my nape. While I kept breathing heavily and peeked at my wrist. I was in disbelief to see the mark was gone and replaced with new soft-smooth skin as I touched it.
"It's gone," I gasped out of air. "I can't believe it!"
"Only Kingdom and Barons can take these off." JJ shared while patting my leg smiling.
From out of Cory's arms I sat up still staring at my wrist in disbelief. As Cory planted another kiss on my head.
"There's a lot of benefits with being in a kingdom," Cory said and got off the bed. "While I am at my meeting Mike and Matt are going to stop by to talk with you."
I didn't get a chance to ask why since he randomly left down the hallway from hearing another knock. As JJ picked up his briefcase, Cory returned with Mike and Matt. Then Cory and JJ when up the hall together and I heard them leave the room. Cory just left me here with Matt and Mike both in smiles. But I wasn't sure why they were here so I gave them a strange expression.
"Hey, Sally, Mike, and I would like to talk with you." Said Matt.
"Would care to accompany us to the living room?" Mike asked like a gentleman.
I got off the bed and obliged by following them down into the hallway.
