• Hunter, Ash, Josh, and I cut the corner around the castle trying to locate Sally and Maria. Just up ahead we heard screaming and found three men going to Maria laying on the ground. I sped over and pulled my knife throwing it into the one man's forehead! He fall to his knees as his body twitched some before hitting the ground.
Josh quickly ended up charging the second man and stabbed a hand knife right into his throat. He quickly pulled it out while the man chokes on his spewing blood pouring from his neck. Until Ash finished the man by breaking his neck and tossing him on the ground
All within that same time frame. Josh threw the same knife at the last man pulling out his sword to fight us. But the knife went straight into his jugular!
As Hunter checked on Maria. "She's only knocked out," Hunter said kneeling on one knee while touching her head.
Suddenly, John leaped himself down from the edge side on the second floor.
"A man is after Sally!" He said after he stood up.
"Say with Maria and cover the area, I hollered and ran off hearing more screaming! Following it, I heard Sally crying out for help. Just up ahead, I saw the man had her trapped in his body!
My blood pumped in high adrenaline and fury struck me like a zap of lightning! In full speed, I charged the man and pulled him back into my killer hands. Before he ever knew it, with one popping twist... until Snap! I broke his neck.
He fell limp on Sally sending them both to the ground. Before his body even had a chance to crush her. I grabbed the belt holding his sword and flung him off to the side.
Cough... Cough... Sally kept coughing and wheezing nonstop. Her face beat red from being suffocated. So I gave her a minute to inhale and exhale.
Her eyes opened up and her color started coming back but she was still panting. Her heard turned to the man
"Don't look at him Sally, let yourself breathe easily," I told her trying not to scare her. She looked up my way seeming to be in disbelief from trying to focus her vision. I was about to say something else until...
She coughed several more times from being smothered by that medium-ranked man. So I picked up his body from the back of the collar by his black long sleeve military shirt. With one hand, I whipped him further away as he tumble off breaking more bones to add with his broken neck.
Then I looked back at Sally, her expressions were quite something. I kinda forget she wasn't raised in our society. Kingdoms and Barons are massively stronger compared to other Society Kinds. But as she continues to look up at me while she panted. Now for the first time, she actually appeared happy to see me. However, she was shaken with freight and she stayed on the ground. So I gave her time to calm herself. I didn't want her mistakingly fainting on me from the trauma.
As I heard footsteps coming my way. I turned my head and put my right hand on the knife held on my weapons belt from my hip side. Then I eased myself to realize it was only Aaron and a few men jogging up to me.
"Kyle and his men are retreating!" Aaron said panting out of breath.
I nodded to him then looked back down at my new bride. I kneeled in reaching to take her hands. The second I helped her, she stood right up and wrapped her arms around my ribs. Unable to help herself, she dived right into my arms.
This was the first time she had ever shown to need me. So I made sure, I cuddled her right up and held her head up against my chest with my left hand.
Very irritated, I said to Aaron, while I held Sally shaking. "Check everyone! Attend to the injured and collect the ones who passed into the lifeless. So Leonardo and the men in JJ's division can get ready to revive them."
Now looking at the men standing around him, Aaron said passing my orders, "You know what to do! Everyone able to needs to start aiding with the others."
After he nodded at me, Aaron started to walk off with the others to help. Sally kept herself resting in my arms, so I kiss her head gently. Which was something likely new to her. I understood she has never been shown affection. By any hybrid-man who had ever owned her.
Now passing up Aaron, Jay walked up to me. So I looked at him and said, "Please take Sally back to the mansion."
Jay nodded as he tried pulling her off me by her forearm. But she held her grab tight around me not wanting to move from my arms.
"Sally, I have to finish things up around here. I'll be back very shortly. Jay will keep you safe." I said in a calm soft tone.
Yet, she looked at Jay petrified.
"Sally you need to come with me."Jay added calmly, "So I can take you back."
Again, he pulls Sally's arm as he patiently got her off me with my help.
Nick pulled up in a black sports car parking it. So he got out of the driver's seat to open the passenger door. For Jay and I to place Sally gently into the passenger seat.
Before closing the door, I leaned in the car kissing her forehead then said, "I'll be back as soon as I can."
But still, in shock, she said nothing while I rubbed her head side for a second. Once Jay got in the car and shut the door. I stood up and shut the passenger door with her looking at me and Nick standing beside each other. Now watching as Jay sped off cutting around the lot directly to the right direction having many men following him down the roadway.
"I'm getting out of this suit then we're getting to work," I told Nick as he only gave a gesture in agreement.
