Li Jie walked to his own apartment stiffly with Ying Ying clutched in his arms. He looked back at the door, thinking about Mo Yichen. His face showed a sarcastic smile.
He entered his apartment. Ying Ying who was quite in his arms jumped out and turned to face Li Jie " Tell me everything " He asked in his deep voice.
Li Jie looked at fox who was clearly worried about him but was trying to act tough to maintain his tough image.
" How about you tell me, what you were doing in Mo Yichen's arms " Li Jie asked squinting his eyes and crossing his arms in front trying to create a tough image like that of an investigator.
Both stared at each other in eye and came to a conclusion to talk about it after dinner.
Li Jie looked at the time. He had mild mysophobia like he had to take a bath 2-3 times a day. especially if he was coming from outside. He had enough time to take a quick shower and prepare the dinner.
Ying Ying went back to the couch.
Li Jie took a quick shower in his bathroom, He felt much better after washing himself clean. He walked out of the bathroom in a bathrobe and left his hair open to dry in air. He was naked in the lab for three years. So, he never felt any problem in dressing less or more. He was indifferent to the idea of clothes.
He walked to kitchen to prepare the dishes for dinner. He knew from his previous life that Mo Yichen was a healthy man with a healthy appetite.
He had bought rabbit meat in good amount because of Ying Ying. After pondering, he decided to make rabbit stew for the main dish and some side dishes.
Li Jie had good culinary skills from his past life where he learnt about cooking to gain affection from his father. He thought that he could make a way into their hearts through their stomachs. He was only a child at that time, trying to make food everyday to polish his culinary skills to perfection for his family. His small hands were constantly covered in bruises and cuts from the cooking.
He learned about their favorite dishes and learnt them till perfection. His painstakingly effort only received a look of disdain and mockery from his father. He saw all of his efforts going into garbage in front of his eyes.
Li Jie prepared chicken lollipops, wanton soup and vegetable salad for the side dishes and rabbit stew for the main dish, As always, He had used spirit water in the dishes that increase the nutrients and taste of the food. He looked at the time and went into his room to change into some comfortable home clothes.
He was pulling his pants up when he heard the doorbell. He immediately pulled his pants and made a run for the door.
He opened the door for Mo Yichen, Li Jie looked at the handsome face for some sec before stepping away from the door " Welcome "
Mo Yichen looked at the man in front of him. His clothes were loose on his body. His neckline was deep, Mo Yichen's gaze fell on the young man's slender neck and beautiful collarbones. His gaze traveled down and stopped at the young man's bare feet. Even his toes were ridiculously beautiful, Mo Yichen thought in his mind.
He averted his eyes from Li Jie with difficulty and walked inside the apartment. The apartment had the same structure as Yang Le's apartment. The only difference was that he could feel the love of the person who decorated this house. The house was painted in bold colors but with a homey feeling. He can easily smell the appetizing smell coming from kitchen.
" It will take some time to set the table. Why don't you sit on the couch " Li Jie suggested embarrassingly. It was his fault, He should have done this at time.
" It's okay. I will help you " Mo Yichen suggested with an amused glint in his eyes. He looked at the man whose expression changed from embarrassment to self loathing. He was thinking about the reason behind these expressions when he felt something touch his leg, He looked down at the fox who was walking towards the kitchen with his tail waving in front of them. He heard a soft chuckling sound from Li Jie. He looked at the man who was trying to control his laughter behind his palm.
He had only saw cold and emotionless face of Li Jie whenever he saw him which was now filled with warmth looking at the fox sauntering to kitchen. He suddenly felt the fox's appearance extremely unsightly. The sound of his laughter was like a refreshing air to Mo Yichen.
" Okay, Then, Thank you " Li Jie entered kitchen with Mo Yichen a step behind him.
Mo Yichen looked at the kitchen that was well kept and spotless. " Mr. Mo, can you help me set the table, I will bring out the dishes " Mo Yichen frowned after hearing the way Li Jie was addressing him but chose to remain silent and walked out to set the table for the dinner. He looked at Li Jie who was bringing dishes from the kitchen. Soon, the table was filled with dishes.
" Would you like red wine with rabbit stew " Li Jie asked Mo Yichen with shiny eyes.
Mo Yichen looked at the man looking at him with shiny eyes, He recalled the scene from previous night when this man was drinking under city lights like a male fox spirit. " Mr. Mo " He heard Li Jie calling his name and woke up from his stupor.
" Yes, Please do so " Mo Yichen answered politely while looking at Li Jie.
Li Jie immediately went to pick a wine for the occasion.
There was only Ying Ying and Mo Yichen left in the dinning room, looking at each other in hostility.
