Thor POV
I was thinking about the raid to the west. I already have few warriors who are acting as my Warband. It is really interesting.I was now going to Kattegat to see Bjorn earning his arm ring.I was with Val seeing all the proceedings were too boring as both Val and I were about to return home after Bjorn got his ring but was stopped and told the seer wanted to see me.
I walked into a dark room the see was sitting he was deformed no eyes, black lips, as he turned to our direction, spoke: "I have seen visions of many people for more than 100 years but you both are the only ones I can't see anything about every time I look into one of your future either I see a person surrounded by lighting or women in silver armor and both are covered in the dark."
I was amused and replied, "So you did try to see our future."The seer nodded and said, "Yes I did since I saw some of the futures I predicted changing, and all of them have one thing in common you."the last part he said, pointing the finger at me and continued, "So who are you ? are you son of Thor or are you his reincarnation."
I smirked and said, "Like the rest of the people, you just have to guess."I turned around and left as Val asked, "You really left him confused, didn't you."Val was amused by the looks of it.
I shrugged and replied, "He makes people guess about their future by making riddles. Now it is his turn to guess."
I was with Val and Lagertha checking our ship as Lagertha spoke, "Just like you foretold, Ragnar is really building longship and trying to go the west."I nodded and replied, "It was not that hard to guess also, we will have set sail a day before Ragnar goes from what I can guess, Haraldson probably already knows about his little adventure."
Lagertha nodded as she smirked and asked, "I heard from Val you quite the swordsman even if you like to use a hammer care for a spar."I narrowed my eyes at her and replied, "Okay."I knew for a fact I am only good with the sword because of instant mastery.
We both went to the ground behind my home as Lagertha slowly got into her stance as I did the same the moment the fight began Lagertha rushed and started with a combo of slashes as I blocked and deflected them as I mentally thought, "She is good for a human if she was an Asgardian she could rival Val even then Val has a lot of experience."
Lagertha's style depended on speed as I was able to counter each move and slowly tire her out then slapped her blade away with mine the pointed it straight at her throat.I looked at her face instead of disappointment. I saw a smile as she said: "It has been a long time since I have been this excited. You are definitely better with swords than even Val."
I grinned and said "I am, but you are not bad either."Lagertha smiled at that and replied, "Thanks for the compliment."Val, who walked up to both of us, said "Lagertha, I told you he is better than me."Lagertha nodded then went to wash her face as have some water as Gyda who was watching the whole spar came running and shouted: "Uncle Thor, you have to teach me too, okay."
I smiled and replied, "Anything for you, my little Valkryie."I taught her few moves while I remembered something. I took out a chain from my pouch and showed it to Gyda and said, "Little valkyrie, this a gift for you."
Gyda, who saw the chain, scrunched her nose and mumbled, "I don't like jewelry much I want a sword."I laughed and replied, "I will get you a sword on your 12th birthday, okay."Gyda's face lit with excitement, hearing that.
Thor, who saw the little Valkryie's excitement, smiled and put the chain around her neck. The chain was enchanted to protect her. I thought, "Blood or not, I will protect you, little Valkryie."
3rd POV
Lagertha and Val watched Thor teaching Gyda different sword strikes as Lagertha smiled and said "You know he will be a good father."Val nodded and replied, "That he will be."
Lagertha saw Thor take out a silver chain and put it around Gyda as they both were walking up to them Lagertha was looking at Thor and thinking, "If only your own father took the same time to be with you, Gyda"Lagertha knew for a fact that Gyda slowly sees Thor as a father figure than Ragnar.
Just then were about Bjorn and Ragnar showed up it was awkward between Ragnar and Lagertha who simply said"Ragnar." then went and hugged Bjorn, who smiled at his mom. Thor and Val just watched them.
Bjorn saw me, ran and hugged me "Uncle Thor, look at this see I got my arm ring."He was proudly showing off his arm ring to Thor.
Thor smiled and ruffled his hair and said, "Good job, little bear."Bjorn looked up to Thor more than his father even when his father told him how he was the strongest Viking in the clan, Bjorn knew Thor was the strongest. But this didn't mean he didn't love his father any less. He just looked up to Thor.
Ragnar, who slightly narrowed eyes at Thor then turned Lagertha with an awkward smile, said: "I went to your house and was told by the neighbor you were here, so I brought Bjorn here."Lagertha had a stoic look and just gave a nod.
Ragnar turned to Gyda and smiled and said " How have you been Gyda."Gyda, who gave a small smile and replied, "I am fine."Ragnar, who could not handle the obvious awkward environment, soon left.
