2008 - Metropolis, Kansas - Watchtower
Because the Martian Manhunter and I can physically carry things into space very easily, plans have opened up and accelerated for a geosynchronous space station satellite headquarters. Since this project will take at least 3-5 years to complete the designing of all of the systems, construction, making it last for a couple of decades, artificial gravity, and countless other components, a new primary base has begun construction in a large cave deep inside of a mountain in Happy Harbor, Rhode Island.
There will be several levels to it which will include general plans for a meeting chamber, gymnasium, lockers, bathrooms, hangar for airplanes and other crafts, elevators, a library, water passage from the Atlantic so Aquaman can easily access it, a souvenir room, lounge, kitchen, bedrooms, communications array, laboratory, computer mainframe, workshop, and a power plant. There will be three main levels, not including the basement and allotted space for the communications array section for satellite, radio tower, and other boosting equipment to connect with your Justice League satellites.
The Watchtower building in Metropolis will be Chloe Sullivan's main hub for operations. We will be moving our meetings and everything else to the new base. It's become too small for how many members we plan to have. I haven't amped up recruitment as much until the new base is finished. I definitely don't want this to look like a rinky dink set of operations for such a high profile group as the Justice League.
Ultimately, with teleportation technology of our Zeta Tubes, it's so much easier to just change the coordinates. So we could even have our meetings in Wyoming in a random underground bunker if we wanted. I just like the idea of keeping to canon locations for nostalgia's sake. That gives me a thought.
"Hey Chloe. What do you think about getting a few nuclear fallout shelters for the worst case scenario? There have been several visions of the future where Lex Luthor manages to become President of the United States and he causes a nuclear holocaust. Why not err on the side of caution and have a backup if something manages to happen to me?" I suggested.
"Clark, don't we already have bunkers?" Chloe asked.
"None that are rated to withstand nuclear armaments." I replied.
"Ok, I'll look into locations and resources needed for construction of nuclear fallout shelters." Chloe said.
"Thanks, Chloe." I said gratefully.
