Chereads / Being A Villian In DC / Chapter 5 - Rematch

Chapter 5 - Rematch

Harry looked at the property in front of him with a smile on his lips. The first time he faced Batman he was not at all prepared. With the knowledge he has, Batman was quite intimidating to face. The guy was one of the few humans in the League but if you ask anyone who isn't biased they would say he was the one that carried the whole league full of idiots. Now, the big man himself was baiting him to come and fight him. He was excited, very excited to do it!

He took out the Annahilator and checked the ammo. The big gun fired like a grenade launcher, only more powerful. He nodded to himself and pointed the gun at the house and fired. A large the length of a palm flew out and hit the house. Immediately, an explosion engulfed the whole building, destroying everything in it. Luckily, both Batman and Alfred were in the Batcave, waiting for him.

"What was that explosion?" Alfred asked, his heart starting to beat faster.

"Bastard bombed the mansion!" Batman answered as he got up. He was angry for the building was what connected him to his parents and now it was gone! He got to the lift and punched the up button. Alfred looked at him with a frown then looked at the screen only to find all the cameras were gone. Batman came to the surface where he could see the ruins of his house still burning. He gritted his teeth in anger and ran out, his his cloak to protect himself from the heat and flames. Harry nodded to himself when he saw the legend walk out, glaring at him. He chuckled and pointed the gun at him.

"I was surprised, Bruce, you would put your head as a prize. But, I guess we can both say it was a trap. So, this is what billionaires do when they are bored, wear suits and fight criminals who coincidentally happen to be the little people they step on everyday," Harry said.

"I don't do this because I am bored. I wear this suit to rectify the wrongs being done to the society," Bruce answered with his gruff voice.

"Rectify wrongs? Dear Bruce, have you ever thought that perhaps you are the problem? All of the heroes? You go around preaching about the goodness in humans like you are sure everyone is good. But you instead brought darkness to the people. There can never be God without Lucifer. If there would be God alone then how would He convince people to worship Him? Humans would be wary of him instead. The same with you heroes. You thrive in conflict and the bigger it is, the more you enjoy,"

"Your concept of heroes is warped. Heroes exist to help people, to bring light in their darkness, a beacon of hope," Batman answered.

"Yet, you always arrive too late to save people, don't you. Like what happened to the Joker when he poisoned all those people. By the time you arrived, everyone was dead and you were not able to catch Joker. Look at the world, there are less deaths in areas where there are no heroes than where heroes exist. You attract villians and the civilians pay for it,"

"Huh, you sound like an angry man, assassin," Bruce said, making Harry snap out of it. He looked at Batman then started chuckling.

"Look at that, I might have gotten a little over passionate, sorry about that," Harry apologized then fired his gun. Batman ducked but what came next blew him in surprise. The bullet hit the g sound next to him and he was blown away. He was mostly unhurt except for his mouth that was not covered by his armor.

"I don't need to hit you to kill you, Bruce," Harry answered. He suddenly sensed danger and ducked just as a rifle was fired and a bullet whizzed past the place he was standing. Harry fired the gun at the place the shot came from and they both heard a man cry out in pain.

"Alfred!" Batman cried out as he struggled to get up. Harry shook his head and fired at him, the bullet exploding on his chest, throwing him away. Batman coughed out blood as he touched his gauntlet where a small screen was. Harry frowned and did a flip to the left as the bat jet fired at where he was standing, missing him. Harry looked up and shot his web at the jet and started pulling before catapulting himself on it as the jet started flying away. He landed on top of it and he unsheathed the second weapon, placed the muzzle on the jet and fired.

The backlash made him fly off of it as the jet was dismantled by the wave fired from the gun. Harry landed on the ground before rolling quickly, three batarangs hitting the ground where he had stood. Harry got up as he sheathed the two weapons and took out his swords. Batman was charging at him with two retractable batons in his hands.

Harry smiled as he saw this then started his attack. His perfect hand to hand combat came to play here together with his heightened reflexes and strength. Batman felt his arm become numb after the first strike he blocked and immediately knew he was outclassed so he tried to kick him away and gain himself some distance but Harry moved his body slightly to the right as his right hand got hold of the leg. Batman realized he just screwed himself and tried to free himself but Harry threw him into the burning house through a wall on the second floor.

"Not done yet, Batman," Harry said and took out the second weapon and fired at the house. A wave like a shockwave was fired out and it destroyed the house completely! Harry laughed and was about to fire again when his spider senses flared and he did a flip to the left, making a freeze ray miss him by seconds. He turned around and saw Cisco aiming his the freeze gun at him.

"Hi there," Harry greeted him.

"Hi, I would appreciate it if you don't use my weapons for crime, thank you," Cisco said as he gripped the gun tighter. Harry pointed the two guns at him.

"I wouldn't do that if I were you," Caitlin said from behind him. Harry pointed the shockwave gun at her, making her flinch in fear. In her hands was a weapon he couldn't recognize.

"I think I can take you," Harry said. Just then, Batman jumped out of the burning house as he aimed his weapon at him, a glock.

"Can you shoot the three of us at the same time?" Batman asked him. Harry scoffed as he looked at him.

"No," Harry answered. Suddenly, he did a flip in the air as he fired both guns and all three did the same. But, Harry had switched targets. The shockwave gun was fired towards Batman, hitting the bullet away as the wave slammed into him, the other gun at Cisco, hitting the freeze ray, causing an explosion that pushed him towards Caitlin, his body bending flexibly to dodged the unknown ray she had fired.

He landed with a roll and kicked the gun out of her arms with a spinning kick, propelling himself up and slamming his palms onto her ears, disorienting her and with a nerve pinch in her neck, she became unconscious! He got hold of her before he hit the ground and he was impressed by her beauty. He brushed a few strands of hair off her face as he set her gently on the ground. He then looked around and noticed everyone else was out for the count, including Batman!

"Holy shit, Author for the win...I mean, me for the win," Harry congratulated himself before going next to Batman, his swords in hand.

"To kill or not to kill?Hmm? Should I be a villian who lets the MC go and give him time to grow or kill him and get it over with? I'll go with the latter. Good bye, Batman," Harry said and raised his blade, ready to kill Batman when someone appeared in front of him. Harry saw the insignia of the house of El on the newcomer's chest and smiled coldly. Superman did not expect the seemingly normal sword to cut him chest like tofu, making him cry out in pain and fell on the ground, his chest bleeding profusely.

"Good thing I added Kryptonite on the sword or this might have ended differently," Harry sweat dropped when he saw the man of steel writhing in pain beside his unconscious friend. Harry looked behind him and noticed Diana aka Wonderwoman coming.

"Oh, I think I have a clue of what kind of DC I am in. Time for me to go," Harry said and ran away after dropping the two weapons down.

Diana arrived at the scene and was surprised to see the scene in front of her. Everyone was on the ground either unconscious or writhing in pain. When she saw Superman in the state he was, she ran next to him and looked at the wound.

"He cut me with Kryptonite," he gasped.

"That's why the wound isn't healing. Hold on, I'll fly us closer to the sun," she said as she scooped him up in a princess carry and flew towards the sun. But, she couldn't breath out of Earth's atmosphere, yet, so she threw him as hard as she could before flying back to the burning Wayne Manor. She saw a wizened old man getting out of the rubble and landed next to it.

"Alfred, what happened?" she asked him.

"Let's just say Bruce got his wake up call on putting a bounty on his head," Alfred answered painfully. "I don't know who that person was but he was strong, too strong to be a human. His reflexes were...beautiful to watch and his combat flawless. Master Wayne never stood a chance. How's he doing, by the way?"

"Unconscious, but very hurt," she answered. "Good thing you called the league or he would be dead."
