Aixela's Pov:
"What happened?" The police officer repeated.
We are now in the interrogation room where I am currently being asked by the police officer who helped me earlier.
"A-a man w-was trying to kill the vendor t-then he heard me and chased me and then you came then he was gone," I explained anxiously.
"Can you remember what time did it happen and how long?"
"I don't know when did it exactly happen but I remember, I left the hotel at 8pm and ran to the market for I think 10-15 minutes. Then I hid behind the trash cans for more than 15 minutes."
"You said that you saw the crime behind the trash cans that is 4 meters away from the alley. And when I saw you, you were running through the road until you reached the 3rd street from the alley where I stopped," He narrated. I nodded in agreement with what he said.
"But when I saw you, I did not notice a man chasing you. You just look so scared while running," He added.
"I'm not really sure how far he chased me or if he really chased me. When my hiding place fell, I just ran immediately and did not look at him," I cleared up.
He nodded as if saying I did the right thing.
"Did anyone else see it happen?" He asked.
"I think no one else saw. It was dark because it was night and there were only a few street lights. It was also quiet there, so the killer made sure that he would not be noticed. There is also not much passing, especially the road is congested. I think his every move was really calculated."
He looked at me without emotion, so I looked at him wondering.
"Do you know the victim?"
"He was the vendor of the scarves in the alley. I bought three scarves from him this morning. Then I bumped into a rude man that's why I lost one of the scarves. I only noticed that the other scarf was gone when I was preparing for my flight. I still have time to buy, so I decided to do so until this thing happened."
He looked at me again, so I frowned. What is his problem? Is there dirt on my face?
"Do you know why the incident or behavior occurred?"
"Hmm. If I am not mistaken, the victim doesn't know the killer, but the killer insisted that he knows him. When the killer whispered something to the victim, he seemed to realize something. Maybe he already knew who the killer was," I stated.
"Also, I think the killer was very angry with the man based on the words he said," I added.
"Like what?"
"When the man begged, he said that it was as if the man did not feel sorry for him, like that."
He looked at me again. I don't know if he smirked or his mouth was just like that.
"Then, what happened next?" He asked.
"I called the police. Maybe, he heard something crackling, so he thought of checking on it. But when he noticed the vendor is trying to run away, he choked it with the scarf."
"Then?"
"After that, the rat crawled on me so the trash cans fell and I ran. I don't know what happened there after that."
"So therefore, you accidentally witnessed a murder in an alley when you went to the market. You said, it looks like the killer is very angry with the salesman and at first, the salesman did not know who the killer really was. Then, when your hiding place falls, you immediately run away in fear that something bad will happen to you," He said.
I gave a hard nod as if I was saying 'exactly'.
"Can you describe the face of the killer? Or do you know him too?"
I shook my head. "It was too dark and I was too far from him. Also, he was wearing a mask, so I could not see his whole face. But I noticed something from him," I said.
"A scar is engraved on the right temple on his head. I think that scar came from a beating with a hard, wide object back then."
He caressed his chin while nodding.
"Is there anything else you want to tell me that I haven't asked you?"
I shook my head. He got up and was about to leave when I suddenly remembered something.
"Wait," I said so he stopped.
I was looking at the mirror and realizing what I have remembered.
"My voice," I suddenly said while looking at the mirror.
"Huh?"
I looked at him. "He heard my voice."
