Chapter 17 - Chapter 16.

-|Khalil|-

Well, yesterday was a drag. Karabo got totally wasted and almost got into a fight, if it hadn't been for me he'd probably be black blue right now. But at the end of the day, he is my best friend so I got his back just as he's got mine.

He's sleeping in the empty bedroom and snoring the whole house up. Alcohol has the worst after-effects ever on people. But that's how it is. Makes you loose the one night, you forget all your problems then the next it all comes back to bite you in the ass. And we still want it.

It's midday now and I'm watching TV. Really bored hoping Rina was here but then again I'm sure she's having the time of her life with her family. I actually do miss her, I never thought I'd ever admit it but she's a pretty awesome person. Why in the world I was an ass towards her? I have no idea.

"What you thinking about brother?" Karabo slumped on the couch next to me, he looked exhausted. Well, that's what you get after drinking up the whole bar.

"Nothing much Karabo. Why are you awake?"

"I'm hungry." He grumbled.

"Always are," I mumbled.

"Say something, Khali?" He asked from the kitchen with an eyebrow raised.

"Nothing." I smiled innocently at him and he rolled his eyes taking out a carton of milk and drinking it with his mouth, why is he so disgusting when his hungover? "And stop drinking our food with your mouth!" I shouted and he groaned looking at me.

"Argh, my head fucking hurts so much. Don't shout." He whispered sitting down on the island.

"Wonder whose fault that is," I said switching my phone on and taking a video of him, I mean he does the same so it wouldn't hurt if we did the same to him right?

"Don't start with me, I'm already in a bad mood as it is." He laid down spreading his arms across the island. If Rina was here she'd be having a field day with him.

"I thought you had fun last night." I pointed out and he looked at me frowning.

"I did, but I'm not right now." Is it? What you think, you'd still be drunk?

"Huh, what are you making in there?" I asked him when he opened the pantry and took out whatever his eyes saw.

"A bit of everything." Only you would want to eat everything.

"Don't finish my food!" I got up from my seat and walked into the kitchen to only find him opening everything and pouring it onto a plate, mixing all sorts of sugars and salts...disgusting!

"Too late." He shrugged and walked away from me.

"Finish up and let's go grocery shopping, Rina won't be happy that you finished all the food."

"Why are you so considerate of her feelings?" Why shouldn't I be?

"Probably because she's a better person to live with." I shrugged and she doesn't eat like a dog... I thought to myself.

"Nah. You like her." He accused me cracking a smile and pointing his spoon at me, what in the world is this guy eating?

"I don't." I defended myself because I don't like her. Yes, I think she's cool and all but I don't like her.

"Yeah, don't really know who you trying to convince but okay." He dived his spoon into whatever he was eating and put his feet onto the table. I'm tired of trying to teach this guy some manners, I am tired.

"Finish!" I pushed his feet off the table and he whined like a kid.

"Don't shout, my head hurts." I don't really care, you did this to yourself Bo!

"Not my problem." I got up walking to my room.

"Fucking trust fund kid." He mumbled and I turned back to look at him.

"What did you say?" I cocked my head to the side and he gave me an innocent smile.

"Nothing! I'm done let's go." He washed his dish, at least he's got some sort of sense in him.

"Thought as much."

We get into my car and drive to the mall because Karabo wanted to 'go shopping for clothes' why does my friend act this way, I don't know. But he's still entertaining and loyal. He's my brother, unlike somebody who's actually supposed to be!

"Ooh, Khali look at this, doesn't it look good on me?" Karabo takes a dress and puts it on himself. Why do I have to deal with this? I look at him and ignore him moving on to the next section.

"You're no fun..." He mutters "Ya know, you should use this time to practice when Rina takes you shopping with her." He takes a shirt out and looks at it, he shrugs and throws it into the shopping basket...the dude doesn't even like it but he's buying it. Wow!

"I've already gone shopping with her." I point out and he drags in a shocked breath putting his hand on his chest.

"What! When? She took you shopping?" He asked so quickly I almost didn't hear him, he should try acting...it would suit him.

"Not initially, we had gone to the mall to watch movies and eat lunch. Then she ended up dragging me to the clothing store, then I took her to the boutique and bought her two gowns for that dreadful ball mom organises every year." I explained and his smirk grew as if he knew something I don't know.

"Woah. You're pretty serious about her aren't you?"

"Serious about what? There's nothing to be serious about considering there's no relationship." I pointed out and he rolled his eyes putting his hand on my shoulder.

"But you want there to be." He said so sure of himself and batting his eyes at me.

"No."

"Yes and you know it, you like her. Does she know about you?" I looked at him and he raised his arms stepping away from me, good choice mate.

"No. And I don't like her."

"Yeah right. But when are you going to tell her about you and everything else?"

"I don't need to because she's not my girlfriend and she won't be."

"Dude you legit fell for her hard, anyone can see that. So just tell her or ask her to be your girlfriend or something, I don't know. " He shrugged at his suggestion.

"It doesn't matter if I make her my girlfriend, it won't last either way."

"Bro, you're 24. You can make your own decisions, stop letting her control you so much." I knew he was talking about my mother but it's not that simple as it should be.

"Yeah, a 24-year-old who went back to school just to get away from his family because they're trying to force something onto him that he doesn't want."

I get angry just thinking about my family, so yeah we have money and everything we could possibly ever want, not need, want but it's still not enough for them as if anything ever is. They're just so controlling and I hate it. I hate how they like to think they're above everyone else because they have money. I hate how they pretend to know me and put on an act for the world, they're just some pretty fucked up people.

"Well yeah, but it's legacy." He said and I rolled my eyes, well I don't want it.

"Whatever, are you done?"

"Yes, baby. Let's go. I'm in need of some delicious cock." I punched him on his shoulder and chuckled. He really knows how to break the tension. We bought some takeaways to eat tonight.

"Dude, when are you going home?" I asked curiously.

"OMG, kicking me out already?"

"Did you just say 'OMG'?" I laughed at him.

"Don't judge. But I'm hurt. You want me gone already." He sniffled.

"Stop acting like a pussy, I was just curious."

"Well, in that case, I'll be here the whole week."

"Argh fuck me," I mumbled rolling my eyes, as much as I love spending time with him...this guy talks a lot and is loud. Really loud!

"I know I make some stupid comments about situations but I'm not gay Khali. I pretty much like pussy just like you want Rina but won't admit it...thank you very much."

"It's a figure of speech Karabo. That's what it is!" I pretty much ignored what he said about Rina because it's not true...right?

"Yeah right. Let's go, baby."
