CHAPTER 29: THE PROPOSAL

THIRD PERSON'S P.O.V
Hamdan's control was slipping away very fast as he watched his love tear up near him. Given as it was the weather outside didn’t help the fact that he yearned to take away her pain, he wished to hold her in his arms and pat her head, he wanted to kiss away her worries and tell her that all will be well with time. It was chilling cold outside and Humeyra’s small frame curled up under the covers of the duvet was the most tempting sight at that very moment. He repeatedly uttered the Ta'wuth under his breath but it was as if the shaytwaan was exerting all his might to tempt him, and tempted he was. He gathered the courage and asked her if he could lay down next to her on the bed. He heard a surprised gasp coming from Humeyra whose expression was like a child caught with her hands in the cookie jar. Guilty.
