Prologue
In the beginning, there were only the forces of nature, battling to take control of the world. Then, Tegache created humans, the first creatures able to do both good and chaos. They each could manipulate their certain elements. These were their powers.
They created empires, but they destroyed the land in their battles. The gods eventually banished Tegache but could not destroy their creation, and so the elements tried to destroy the humans, but the humans fought back with their elements. They created safety within their communities and kingdoms, and they stayed relatively close to the people with the most powerful kinships to the elements. They had hope and they protected each other.
The humans were a force of good, for the most part, after they had worked together to protect their communities. They were peaceful for a few centuries, sure, but their greed slowly grew, and the descendants of the most powerful manipulators, called the imperials, soon lived in luxury. The humans started expanding their land again, to satisfy the imperials who were increasingly greedy. They soon forgot about what happened to those who became too greedy. Soon, the gods decided to enlist the assistance of a fifteen-year-old who had a strong kinship to the earth and everything that came from it. There were other reasons, but Renouenna would learn of these later.
Renouenna had no idea how to satisfy the gods, she just loved to read and missed her mother. Renouenna only wished for two things, one: that her mother was there to help her, and two: that she could help her mother save the universe.
