"What the-"
We both duck at the same time, just as the window on my side shatters too.
"Well, isn't this just amazing?!" I yell, just as he opens his glove compartment.
"Here!"
I look at him and catch the gun he tosses to me, before looking at it like it's my lifeline. At the same time I hear a click, and look up to see that the doors have been unlocked.
"We jump out on the count of five, and we converge at the beach. Okay?"
I nod. He nods back.
"Okay. One, two...five!"
"W-what?!"
Minutes later I'm sprinting down the alley, my feet pounding the wet pavement.
Rehan was hot on my heels, his breathing laboured as we navigated the narrow passageway, but he's nowhere to be found now.
However, just as I turn down the alley, I hear him cry, "Hey! Pick up the pace!"
I shoot him a dirty look over my shoulder. "The Young Master decides to reveal his face again. What was that stunt you pulled earlier?!"
