[Task]
-beat Gorden's Puppet
Reward: 5 exp
Bonus: each Puppet beaten is worth 5 exp
The administrator, who Rei guessed was Gorden, lined them all up to face one Puppet each. She got into a defensive stance while thinking about how she could beat the other Puppets as well. There wasn't anything in the rules about interfering with other's results...
It was kind of a low blow though. Rei decided she'd defeat hers first, and then see how the others were faring. If one of them was struggling it might even seem noble for her to intervene.
Gorden shouted for them to get ready, before directing his Puppets to attack. Honestly, Rei thought his Ability was pretty awesome. The Puppets looked summoned which meant he could maintain and control seven at once.
That had to be at least a C-Rank Ability. She wondered what he did on the days he wasn't required to work as an Administrator. Maybe he was an Adventurer.
The Puppet came at her in a half-crouch, wooden arms creaking at the joint as it tried to punch her in the gut. Reacting on instinct, she side-stepped, grabbed the Puppet right in the crook of its elbow, and used the momentum to flip it onto its back.
She let it tense enough so that it began getting up, before tucking her arm close to her chest and body slamming it back into the ground.
With the advantage, she wrapped her arm around its neck and waited for the Administrator's victory call.
The Puppet dissolved into the earth, and Gorden gestured for her to wait until the others had finished so that They'd all get their results together.

Rei watched them for a while, mainly the D-Rank girl to see if she could tell what their Abilities were. Really the only obvious ones were the two people with Strength Abilities. The others were struggling just like they hadn't gained Abilities at all.
She asked Aspire some questions to keep herself busy.
'Can you explain more about Classes and Subclasses?'
[Class]
A more narrow field of focus such as: Warrior, Blacksmith, Healer, and many others. Choosing a Class essentially boosts the probability that any Skill you get will be what you specialize in. For example, if you chose Warrior, you'd be more likely to earn fighting and weapon Skills. Also, it would be wiser to distribute your stats to fit your Class. A Healer might have higher charisma and intelligence while a Warrior would have more strength and agility.
[Subclass]
After choosing a Class, you might want to do something entirely outside of that field of work, or you might want to narrow your focus even further. A Subclass can allow dual focus or a more specific area of expertise. An example could be picking the Warrior Class and narrowing it to a Martial Arts Subclass, or being of the Blacksmith Class and choosing Chef Subclass for fun.
Rei must've been zoning out thinking about possible Class Selections, because it seemed only seconds later when Gorden was calling her back to get her new ID and test results.
She was curious to see what Gorden thought her Ability was. Of course, she didn't care all that much about the others.
"You most likely have a Passive-Type Ability, since you showed no clear signs of any other type. You'll have to get a new ID card when you figure out what it does, but here's this for now." He handed her a stack of papers that she'd need if she wanted to join an Academy, or if she wanted to register at an Adventurer's Guild. Her ID card had her name, birthday, city of residence, Rank, and so on.
She tucked it all under her arm.
"Thanks, do you know where the Academy Selection area is?" Gorden nodded, handing everyone else their papers.
"Yeah, just back out where we came through and to the right." She nodded her goodbye and followed his directions into a room with nothing but rows of papers and bins.
The government always kept the Academy Application forms in the same building as the Ability Exam since examinees no longer went to regular school after gaining their Ability.
All Rei had to do was pick a few Academies that were suitable for E-Rank Abilities and turn in an application along with a copy of her ID. Once she was accepted, she could pick whichever school she liked best and attend at the soonest semester start.

Rei happily strolled out of the room, confident she'd be free of her old school at last and that she'd found something amazing. She rubbed her hands together and snickered.
Now that she had a bit of free time, it was the perfect day to get a little revenge on her bullies. Only problem was, it was still three on one.
Her grin slowly morphed into something sinister. Maybe with their last names, she could do a little research. They didn't live together after all.
Rei thought about how Aspire had inadvertently given her the name of the Hidden Headquarters and of the Administrator. All she had to do was trigger a Task and those punks were done for.
