After putting the points in he looked around and collected all the useful materials the knights had on them. In total he found 26 gold coins and 127 silver coins. There were no bronze coins as they were mainly used by the commoners and Knights make a large amount of money, so they rarely carried bronze coins.
He added these coins to his pouch afterwards. He now had 26 gold coins and 140 silver ones. This was a hefty amount for any commoner in fact it was more than a lot of commoners would make in 40 years.
Each gold coin was 100 silver, and each silver was 100 bronze. Many different nations manufactured their own coins but pretty much all the coins were worth the same.
He also found a lot of proof on the Knights that they were from Roan Kingdom, so he knew he had to leave immediately as he just killed some of their knights.
Unfortunately, there was only 1 route he could go at this point since the Barony of Varca was surrounded by mountains on the east and south side. He couldn't go north as that was the direction of capital and it was a very bad idea to go to the capital right now.
So the only route he had was to go was by ship. Luckily, there was a port near his current location only a half an hour run away by his standards. Usually, it would take half a day but with his new speed he could easily cover that distance in under an hour.
The port was only the size of a large town but had many ships come to it since it was a vital trading point between Caldera and Roan.
The ports official name was Port of Cerra. It was under the rule of a wealthy viscount that was close to being promoted to a count because of the port's success in recent years.
August reached the port and asked for directions to the port yard from a local guard. He gave him the general directions and August started to head that way. If he was lucky, he could get a ship today and leave but he might have to leave tomorrow if there was no boats left.
It was already early morning so he figured that he would be able to get a ship today. August had been awake for the past 24 hours. Recently he had noticed that staying up for days at end did not affect his abilities much. He guessed that he had the system to thank for this.
Luckily, August found a sailor quickly and paid him 10 silver to bring him to the nearest point down south. Just below the Mountain range was the neighboring kingdom of Caldera so he could easily get out of the kingdom without being caught. "We set off in 2 hours. Be back by then or we leave without you." The Sailor said gruffly before walking off to yell at his crew.
After thinking for a second he decided he had time to look around, so he started to explore. First, he wanted to go to the market for supplies to restock. After doing that and seeing that he had another hour and 30 minutes or so he decided to just look around.
August saw a few things he was impressed with along the way including a tamed dire wolf. It was hard to tame Magical beasts, so he was impressed with the accomplishment.
Along the way he stopped at a weapon shop. He liked what he had but there was nothing wrong with looking for something better.
He looked around for a bit before seeing twin slightly curved medium sized swords. He stared at them for a good minute. Ding!
Skilled learned
Observe: Allows you to inspect almost anything if it isn't significantly more powerful than you.
His eyes widened upon seeing this skill. It was extremely useful as it would help him accurately judge people's strengths as well as inspect the quality of goods.
He looked back over at the blades and used the skill.
Enchanted Platinum Twin Scimitars
Enchantment: Life steal: Allows the welder to steal the opponent's energy over time.
+25 Strength per scimitar
+10 Agility per scimitar
After inspecting the info on the blades, he was in shock with his mouth agape.
He quickly closed his mouth and walked over the owner.
"How much are those?" August asked pointing at the scimitar's.
The owner glanced over at the swords.
"Combined they are 10 gold coins." He stated.
August thought for only a short moment before buying them.
"Ill buy them can you unseal them?" August asked.
The man immediately stood up and walked over to the scimitars. He then unsealed them from their lock magic. Lock magic was used so no one would steal valuable objects.
August handed him 10 gold coins and turned to leave with the swords.
"I also have sheaths for them, but they are an extra 4 gold The shop owner said suddenly.
August stopped walking and looked over at the owner.
"Can I see them?"
Without a word the owner walked behind his table and pulled them out. As he walked over with them, he used to observe.
Twin Scimitar sheaths
+10 endurance per sheath.
August bought them right after seeing the stats.
"Ill take them he said handing over 4 more gold."
The shop owner looked at him happily for a moment before accepting the gold and handing August the sheaths.
"Pleasure doing business with you" he said with a smile.
August replied with a wave and walked out the door holding his new weapons.
