For starters, multiple ancient devil bugs dove through groups of zombies and then explode.
The explosive power was so strong that none of the zombies within 5 meter radius of the explosion remained intact.

Zombies who heard the explosion directed their gazes to their fallen kind and immediately became frenzied.
They tried to find what made the explosion but what greeted their sights was an army of skeletons.
The abyssal silver skeletons armed with their silver shovels marched towards the zombies and anyone who came near them were bashed to meat pieces.
* Grooooowl!!! *
But the thousands of zombies can't be outdone.
They gave their fiercest growls and dashed towards the skeletons with the aim of crushing the boney army to pieces.
But before some zombie could even reach the army of skeletons, from the sky, numerous black dots dove down and blasting the zombies down by sheer force.

The ancient devil bugs had joined the melee.
Their flight was so fast that they can't be followed by human eyes.
And like lethal weapons, the trajectory of their flight leads to zombies losing their heads as they are blasted through by the bugs.
" There are too many zombies. We need to speed things up. " Adam said as he watch the zombies in front.
" Boss, I think Pandora is in danger. If thousands of zombies are already at the periphery, more might be gathered up ahead. " Gil said solemnly.
Pandora was their home. Many of them lost their families during the zombie outbreak but they do have some people they cherish on the base right now.
If a huge zombie horde attacked....
Gil really want to ask for Adam's help but he can't voice his thoughts out.
' Boss gave us too much already. It'll be too much to risk his life for the base for our selfishness. '
His thoughts are right but if Pandora really fall, they don't know the next place they can live in this sh*tty world.
" At this rate, we can't reach Pandora for eternity. Let's speed things up. " Adam suddenly said.
Adam then controlled all the ancient devil bugs on the air and made them hover within a certain distance right above the zombie masses.
When everything was in position...

Tens of bugs performed a dive straight towards the zombies.
And right before they hit the ground...
" Explode..."
Tens of explosion happened killing multiple zombies for each explosion.
Judging from the fallen bodies, almost a thousand zombies died in that volley of explosions.
" Now that's what you call fast! "
Adam is amazed on how effective the bugs are in eliminating the zombies.
If he continue on this rate, any moment, he can advance a small tier.
" Hahaha! Let's continue... [ Summon: Ancient Devil Bugs ]. "
Another one hundred bugs was summoned which were directly controlled by Adam to do the same as earlier.
Then throughout that area, countless explosion happened from time to time.
And the harvest was so good!

If another batch of zombies are ahead, he can advance a small tier.
This trip is good!
Adam is having fun as he watch his experience rises so fast.
Now that he is strong enough, there's no need to fear these low level zombies.
He only need to watch out for tier 4 zombies or higher.

" Should we raise some ourselves... "
The audience on the back namely Gil and others can only become spectators in this bombing session.

" Uncle skeletons, and also Uncle Jackson and others, dispose of the remaining zombies. " Adam said as he watched the small numbers of scattered zombies that were not blown up.
Since their are only a few hundred of zombies remaining, having the skeletons take care of them won't be too long.
And they need to make this place as their resting area.
" I'll dispose... of the bodies...my [ lord ]. " Arthus offered.
With Arthus and his flames of the Abyss, no scum of these zombies will be left.
' Arthus is a really effective when it comes to cleaning up. ' Adam thought with a smile.
If there is no Arthus around, he won't know where to rest without these stenching rots scattering on the ground.
" By tomorrow, we can already reach Pandora right? " Adam asked Gil on his side.
He really want to see what an actual base looks like.
In novels, some bases are made with high walls to prevent zombies from invading.
But in here, he don't know.
There are people who have awakened some legacy. Maybe their base will be something different too.
" Yes boss, if we continue in the same pace, Pandora will be within sight for a few hours of driving. " Gil explained.
" Great! "
" Now let's set up our camp! "
Adam is enthusiastic as ever.
He will become a legitimate base survivor soon.
Why can't he be happy?
That's a good thing.
In the base, there are many people and that should be fun.
The skeletons had disposed of the remaining zombies while Arthus burned down the bodies with the dark flames of the Abyss.
For practical experience, even Uncle Jackson and the rest aside from Gil had helped in killing the remaining zombies.
They are already tier 1 evolutionary so there is no threat to them.
Also, they are being assisted by the skeletons. So, even if there are any higher tier zombies, before these zombies can do any harm, they will be bashed on the head.
In a few minutes..
Within a few kilometers, no zombies are to be seen.
No body on the ground.
Even the dark blood which stained the earth was cleansed by the flames.
' Yes, we can't forget that Arthus is a clean freak too. '
But it's nice having someone with such personality and with the appropriate strength to do so.
If it will be anyone else who is so fidgety about germs in this apocalyptic world, he will personally feed him to the zombies.

From the top of the iron wall of Pandora Base, the tier 4 awakeneds has gethered and watches the horde of zombies coming from afar.

Grandpa Sam is one of the pillars of Pandora and a tier 4 awakened.
He awakened the legacy of ' Divine Scribe Aether '. His combat power may be low, only equivalent to a tier 4 evolutionary but his power lies on his charms which he can write on a special paper made from his power. By ripping his charms, his allies can gain additional power.
So, the old man can't be looked down upon.
" Base Chief, Do you have any plans? " Deputy Base Chief Albert asked.
" We can only do our best. We must hold out until the reinforcement from the main Base comes. "
" Have the ' overseer ' confirmed it? "
" Yes, it is confirmed. There is a variant zombie commander present. "
Variant zombie commander, one to be known to be the hardest to deal with.
They don't have the speed and lethality of hunters or the destructive powers of tank, but there ability to gather zombie is the trickiest.
Even if you eliminate the zombie they gather now, if a commander escape, another batch will be gathered.
And they are very vengeful in nature.
It wont stop until it destroys what it hates.
The Army was able to respond and the reinfricement was expected to arrive tomorrow.
It's best if they arrive before the zombies do.
Pandora only have 5 tier 4 awakened. They have 4 main fighters and one support, Grandpa Sam.
The rest of the tier 4 are the base leader, a flame magician, the deputy chief, a swordsman and the two remaining tier 4 from the frontline earlier who are an archer and a guardian.
It would have been better if they have more magicians on their rank.
Magicians are good at eliminating mobs.
If they have more, the number of zombies can be less threatening and the fighters can focus more on the higher tier zombies.
But sadly, Pandora only have one.
To be precise, magicians or any awakened with ranged attack and wider area of effect are rare.
Pandora having an archer and a mage is actually lucky enough.
Some rare legacy are hard to come by too.
Only the leaders of the 3 main forces are known to have very rare legacies.
Lots of people can only awakened as knights, warriors and other common ranks.
" Base leader, there's a report. "
A man wearing a camouflage suit sponsored by the army came to the group.
" Speak. "
" There was multiple explosion coming from the south. It is suspected that a group is engaging the zombies in a fight. "
The base leader was taken aback by the news.

If it is the army, they should be coming from the North.

It directly leads to the fallen regions.
The rest of the people present was also skeptical of the news.
