Progress: Tier 3 intermediate [ tier 4 ( buffed ) ] 27053/100000.
Adam sigh as he see his progress bar and lament the difficulty of advancing. Even when the skeletons were having a rampage on City B, the experience points that Adam was able to get is just only a quarter for the total amount needed to advance a minor tier.
Right now, the experience point that a normal zombie can give even hardly reach 1 point. As his tier goes higher, he needed more advance zombies to level up faster.
But who will want to fight those scary monsters at will?
Me? Don't even think about it.
I love my life. There's no need to take risk. Just level up on those normies.
The delivery truck and van where Adam and company are is roaring on the road as they hurriedly left the city.
Adam, Arthus and Jaya chose to sit on the hood of the truck. Not because they have no choice but because Adam want to.
Adam really like to try having to ride a truck like those in doomsday movies where the protagonists had to stand on the roof of the car and fight some zombies, aliens or other things.
But the thing is, Adam have the setting, the truck and the doomsday but...
He doesn't have any normies at the moment!
The script was really wrong.
' Well, at least I experienced some joyrides. ' Adan could only say to himself.
With Arthus around, those stray zombies were either burned to ashes or hacked to pieces and can't even reach near the truck or the van at all.
If Adam is attentive enough, he would surely be shock in his changes already. If it's the original him, he should be pissing his self now. His brain wouldn't even consider killing ordinary zombie, what's more to become like those crazy and powerful protagonists.
Once out of a city, the number of zombies that can be met in the road have a sharp decline in number which result for the team to have a faster travelling speed.
But not all the time this is the case. There are also chances that on the road, a survivor team can encounter some small or large zombie tides.
If surrounded by this tides, most team can only die right there and the body may not even have the chance to mutate as everything will be devoured.
...
...
" aaaaahhh!!!!!! "
" My arm!!! "
" No!! Please help me! "
" I don't want to die!! No! Please not me! aaahh! "
In a sports complex inside City B, screams can be heard as a team of humans are being preyed on by two human eating monsters.
Priest Anthony at this moment is oozing with cold sweat as he watch his people being devoured one by one.
They are supposed to plan their operation to retrieve the supplies when suddenly two huge monsters appear on their temporary camp.
The monsters are walking on fours with three vertical pupils and extremely sharp claws and teeth.
That's right. The two monsters are the Variant zombie dogs that have escaped on the warehouse.
At the moment, the two zombie dogs are showing too much ferocity, tearing the limbs of these humans like they are venting on something.
The two monsters are actually using these pitiful lambs as their outlets remembering how the people of the same kind as them had almost killed the two.
Priest Anthony was clad in silver armor, courtesy of his legacy ' Knight of Siran '. Sadly, the once glorious looking armor is covered in claw marks and some areas are even torn to pieces.
In his arm is a sword which have a silver glow showing the power blessed by his awakening. The sword is already dull from the constant clashes but the majesty of the sword is still there.
But, sad to say, even with his power, dealing with the two monsters in front is too much for Priest Anthony.
" aaarghhhh!!! "
Another evolutionary fell.
There are only 9 people left of their team from the initial tens of people. If they can't deal with these zombie dogs, they are sure to die here.
But everyone present knew that their chances is pretty slim.
Even the strongest in the team, Priest Anthony is struggling to survive one of the monsters. Seeing the beaten image of the leader, the hope of the team surviving is dwindling.
" skill: [ lethal cut ] !!! "
Priest Anthony shouted as his sword glows brighter and forming a sharp beam of light and chopping it towards one of the zombie dogs.
The sword slashes was very strong that dust and small debris are being blown jist from the swing. But the zombie dog is not that simple to kill.
The zombie dog immediately perform a dodge avoiding the sword light and attacked Priest Anthony with it's sharp teeth upon landing.
Priest Anthony saw that his move failed and immediately backed away also avoiding the bite.
That jaw almost bitten of his head!
Another cold layer of sweat was on Priest Anthony's back. If he had not avoided that blow, he would be a headless priest by now.
The longer the battle, the greater the toll on the body is. He is already at this point and he knew that in every time the battle last longer, his chance of winning is getting smaller.
His energy is already limited and he know for a fact that variant animal zombies are advantageous compared to normal awakened like him.
He is trying to find a way to save himself but seeing how the other zombie dog is playing with his team, he knew that if he tried to escape, the two zombie dogs will team up together to kill him first.
He can only bite the bullet and risk everything on the next move. As a man of the church, he must at least take one dog even if he die.
The eyes of Priest Anthony turned sharp and held his sword with two hands.
Suddenly, the sword is like a vortex sucking the light into it's edge.
The silver blade of the sword become bright blue and even the ground where Priest Anthony stands are having cracks due to the pressure.
A powerful momentum was being displayed by silver armored knight as he raised the glowing blade.
" Skill : [ Falling Edge ] !!!! "
Priest Anthony raised the shining sword above his head and dashed towards the zombie dog and slashed.
The zombie dog seeing the terrible attack coming tried to back away but the speed of Priest Anthony had a sudden boost making it hard to avoid the attack.
The variant zombie dog become crazy seeing that it can't avoid the sword. The sharp claws slashed and and tried to cut Priest Anthony into two.
But the sword slash came first.
Hooowl!!!!
The cry of the variant zombie dog reverberated on the area as its body were cut into two.
Black blood burst into fountain dying the ground black.
Priest Anthony knew the powerful vitality of the zombie dog and even with the large injury on his chest due to the variant zombie dog's attack, he still used the last bit of strength to perform a final blow to kill the monster.
" Skill: [ lethal cut ] !!!! "
Another slash was thrown cutting the head of the zombie dog into two.
* thud *
The head fell to the ground.
But before Priest Anthony can express his joy for killing the zombie dog, his body was suddenly impaled by metal spikes.
* cough! * * cough! *
Large amount of blood was being coughed by the poor priest impaled by the metal spikes.
His body is getting cold and his breath is getting weaker.
But, before he finally closed his eyes, he saw it. He saw the montrosity that could make anyone tremble to their knees.
Tier 4 variant zombie.
Even after his death, he can't believe that in City B in the periphery of the Southern region, there exist a tier 4 zombie.
After that, everything went black for Priest Anthony.
...
...
Looking around the area, torn limbs and deformed human figures are scattered on the ground. Right before the death of Priest Anthony, every member of the team was already annahilated by the remaining zombie dog.
But right now, that zombie dog is actually shivering in the corner while looking at the powerful tier 4 variant zombie who suddenly entered the scene.
The metal controller tier 4 variant zombie walks slowly to the remaining zombie dog and made a low sound.
* Growl *
* Growl *
As if talking about something, the zombie dog whimpered and suddenly bowed it's head showing obedience.
The metal controller zombie have no other reaction to the submission of the zombie dog. For it, the hierarchy of zombie is absolute.
Any lower tier zombie can only submit to those powerful zombie just like how he can only submit to the tier 5 variant tank, Eskelon.
The zombie dog was bowing it's head when suddenly, an overwhelming presence can be felt coming towards it.
The presence belongs to a 3 meter stone giant who at every step would make a loud sound indicating how heavy the zombie is.
Eskelon didn't have any regards for the zombie dog. For him, the orders of the mistress must be followed that's why taking the zombie dog along is only part of the mission.
Eskelon then stretched it's arm and picked uo the zombie dog and roared loudly showing dominance between the two.
The zombie dog didn't even react and was frozen in place even after being thrown aside.
It was just a pitiful zombie dog who just lost it's family. Facing two big bosses one after another is too much for it and it felt so miserable.
Eskelon then snorted and turned away from the two weaker zombies and the disdain on it's face is visible.
The metal controller zombie can only turned a blind eye on the disdain from the powerful variant tank zombie and act like everything is what it should be.
As what it said, weaker zombies can only surrender to the stronger one. Just like how he can only bow his head to Eskelon.
