After flying around his space for hours, tasting different fruit and even swimming in the pond several times already, Adam was exhausted and decided to not wait for the system update. " A teen must sleep for 10 hours a day. Though I love you system but I can't sacrifice my welfare just to wait for the [ system update ]. So please forgive me if I'm dozing off when you finish the upgrade. " Adam said trying to make his reason logical for him to sleep without guilt.
He then entered the small cottage beside the pond and started making his bed more comfortable. He also put some fruits that he liked the most on the wooden table so that he can eat it whenever he wanted them. It's a good thing the fruits doesn't rot inside the garden having the same function as the [ storage ].
He laid on the bed and made a short prayer to avoid nightmares. " I hope I won't dream about scary things tonight and if ever I do, please make me in a phantom state for assurance. "
After praying, he closed his eyes and went directly to dream land. His prayer must have been heard because what he dreamed about was about transformers which he really like in his past life.
The rest of the dream was uneventful because all Adam do inside was to shout "gg" and "welplayed" from time to time.

" [ Supreme Lord System ver. 2.0 ] launched. Greetings to the host. ] the system sounded after the update was done.

" [ System ] functions had been modified to suit the host's world. The power system had also been set in accordance with the classification set by the survivors. Please check [ Status ] and please complete the modifications of [ job specific skills ]."

Adam wasn't able to hear the system's notification. But even if he don't, he knows that the lovely system he had known since transmigrating ( 3 days to be specific ) will tell him again of the changes.
So, the system received no reply from Adam and was left all alone contemplating why the host, Adam, didn't have the same excitement any systematic person about their upgrade.

The next day, Adam wake up feeling breezy all over. ' Oh yeah, I'm still naked. I really need clothes right now.'
" System, are you there?" Adam asked.

"I need clothes now. Where is the basic equipment that you are going to give after my job advancement? You didn't forgot did you?" Adam said with a tone of accusing the system will renegade the rewards that is supposed to be his.

" Once again, congratulation host for advancing to [ Summoner: Ancient Abyss Summoner ], rewarding basic equipment for the host ( basic white shirt, basic dark cloak, basic pants, basic boots). Basic equipment doesn't have any special effects and is only treated as costume. Please strive host to have a decent equipment of a summoner."
" Costume is still clothes. No one would think that I am cosplaying in this barren city right?" Adam said while retrieving his reward and trying to put it on.
And then...
'hmmm... something is missing.'
" System, wheres my underwear? I think your basic equipment set is not perfectly planned. You forgot one of its vital component." Adam said reprimanding the system for its unsatisfactory performance and proper work commitment.

" The basic equipment provided is what the **$@#$#$** , Information blocked. The host didn't have enough authority to know the information."
Hearing the intercepted information of the system, Adam guess that maybe there is a great power behind the system that had chosen Adam to become the host. ' Is it the super grandpa prepared for me? Maybe I was the protagonist of this world!' Adam thought with enthusiasm.
' But protagonists needs to walks through fire, battle powerful monster and will experience pain to become stronger then crush his enemies. As a final analysis, the life of a protagonist is hard. Trouble always find him and there are danger every several chapter of the story.'
Adam then contemplated his situation. ' I'm not a protagonist. Life is better dealing with those ordinary zombies and some speedy type one from time to time. Who in their right mind wants trouble? I'll just be a bystander at most. A bystander who is in phantom state so I won't die as part of the protagonist's struggle if ever I encounter one.'
After weighing the pros and cons of meeting a protagonist person, Adam decided that if he ever encounter a handsome/beautiful, brave and loved by many in this apocalyptic world, it's better to keep some distance and stay on the sideline.
' My plan is perfect, another life saving thing to remember to survive the apocalypse. ', Adam said praising himself for his ingenuity and wit.
" Guess I just make do with it even though in feels really awkward. Going to a mall must be pushed forward to fill my wardrobe and some kitchen utensil while at it. Adam also realized that his food is pretty much limited to coarse and dry foods. Having kitchen tools will greatly improve his food intake. ' Who said you must eat anything in the apocalypse. As a growing teen, I need to eat healthy foods and grow stronger to be away from diseases. I don't want to experience again a life in the hospital, though hospital doesn't exist already here. So, if I ever get sick, I'll just have a seizure in a corner and die *shiver*.'
System, what other things should I first?"

" ooh right. I still had that one. The system really is the nicest system there is in the whole you universe. You don't force me to kill, do hard task and complete world quest but still give me lots of benefits. I'll rate you very high system, so that your future host will be assured having you. A user's review is very helpful in promotion in my past life, mind you." Adam said while trying to bootlick the system.
