Chereads / Wilusiya and Uriahssey / Chapter 2 - Book 2

Chapter 2 - Book 2

King David has gathered his forces at one of the rivers of mighty Mesopotamia.

The siege has lasted for seven long years, and many of the men long for their loved ones, but the ark has yet to be retrieved.

" Sire " said one of the mighty men of King David; " We have found him "

King David, along with his son; Solomon, and mighty Samson, went over to Sir Teodosio; who was praying.

" Why have you been avoiding me? " asked King David.

" I simply wanted some solitude, so that I may pray for the fallen, " said Sir Teodosio, while he was kneeling on the ground with his sword in hand.

" I wonder " said King David, as he was pacing around; " Do you pray for our fallen or the enemy fallen? "

" I pray for all "

King David kicked the ground near Sir Teodosio.

" They are the pagans, they are heathens, and they are the enemies of God " uttered David, hotly.

" They are simply soldiers, like the rest of us, carrying out their duties " said Sir Teodosio, calmly.

David now kneeled down in front of Teodosio's face.

" Listen to me, soldier " said King David, as he was holding his finger to Sir Teodosio's face.

Samson was about to intervene, but Solomon stopped him.

" You will kill every single one of them, you will slaughter them all, and let God sort them out. Like a good little soldier " said David, as he stood up and now walked away.

Sir Teodosio went back to praying.

" Was that really wise sire, I mean; Teodosio is the reason we are able to push back the enemy. We need him, so why are you making an enemy out of him? " said Samson.

" You and my son are as capable as Teodosio, " said David.

" Sure, but why are you giving him such a hard time? "

" Because; he is too kind "

" You say that like it is a bad thing "

" In times of war… kindness is a bad thing " said King David.

Solomon and Samson just looked at one another.

They now reached the camp, and that was when one of Solomon's demons walked up to King David.

" There is nothing to report sir. There have been no movements at the gates, " said the demon.

" Very good. Notify me immediately if anything happens. I will be in my tent " said King David, as he walked to his tent.

Solomon walked up to his demon.

" Any news about her? " he asked.

" No sir. She has been quiet as of yet " said the demon.

" What did you ever see in her? " asked Samson.

Solomon's face grew pale.

" She was like a flower, which I wanted more than anything, but I did not know that loving her would make God abandon me… " said the Wise-King.

" You did make a sacrifice to Moloch, just to be with her "

Solomon just looked at the Ring of Archangel Michael on his finger.

" I have sinned… but I am here to make it right " said the Wise-King, as he would assure the return of the ark.

We now enter the envy of the world; Babylon, which looked like paradise on earth.

Beautiful gardens, majestic rivers, and fruits of all kinds.

There were people dancing, singing, and all were having a damn good time.

Sitting on the throne was King Nebuchadnezzar.

The King took a sip of his drink, and he then said;

" Kingu, my general and good friend, how would you say the war is faring? " asked the King.

" It is going very well, sire, we have the Abrahamic people exhausted and demoralised "

Nebuchadnezzar now glanced around the room.

" Where is Al-Qarnayn, where is my champion? " he asked.

" Outside, getting some fresh air " said Queen Lipit-Ishtar.

King Nebuchadnezzar just sighed.

" I really wish that he would enjoy himself, " he said.

" Warriors like him do not enjoy the finer things in life, they enjoy battles, duties, and honor, " said Lipit-Ishtar.

Nebuchadnezzar now looked over at Judas, who was enjoying the "finer things" which life can offer.

King Nebuchadnezzar just giggled.

" One more round of drinks! " exclaimed the proud King of Babylon.

Dhu Al-Qarnayn was standing atop the Ishtar gate, he was looking over the bloody battlefield, while taking in the perfect air.

" You look like you're in deep thought " said Archangel Gabriel, as he flew down while accompanied by one of his flying hounds.

" Beloved messenger " said Al-Qarnayn, as the hound flew over, licking his face.

" Tell me; what troubles you? " asked Gabriel.

" It is nothing. I am merely saddened by the fact that I have to wait for some time before I can speak with my fallen brothers " said Dhu Al-Qarnayn, as he remembered some nostalgic moments with his now fallen brothers.

" I suppose that you just have to make lots of new adventures, so that you have many stories to tell your brothers in the afterlife, " said Gabriel.

Al-Qarnayn just giggled, while petting the hound.

" Do you remember that time you helped me find the Fountain of Youth? " asked Al-Qarnayn.

" How could I forget, it was the first time we met. Too bad that you did not find it "

Al-Qarnayn just sighed.

" I am glad that I did not find it, for if I was immortal, how would I be able to join my brothers-in-arms who are all eagerly awaiting me in the afterlife " said Al-Qarnayn with a smile.

Gabriel just giggled.

The two of them now talked about simpler times.

Back at the camp of King David.

The King was examining his army, and he realized that he was in need of more men.

" My son, travel to Iram and get more men from King Shahyal ibn Sharukh "
