As I step closer to an unknown destination, there is no sound or luminous light. Slowly drifting with the wind as it pushed me anywhere it took me.

"Hey! Are you out of your mind?" a giggle then started echoing as I couldn't care less. I am perfectly aware that I'm in another dreamscape or perhaps another piece of memory. "Here, let me help you," I hear water droplets, then a stream, and as the whole picture revealed itself; I saw Noel and a girl on the fountain. They were little and harmless.

As he helped the girl who fell into the pool of fish and mosses, the girl didn't even open her mouth. "Are you alright?" he tried to examine if she had any scratches or wounds. But she only shoved him and walked away.

"Shhー" I heard behind one of the pillars. Thus, I walked over and was eager to find out more.

"Chi Xian?" A little version of me whispered as the boy dragged me out of the scene. "Jing?" another girl reveals herself as she notices us approaching her.

"Are you insane? Why would you try and even eavedrop?" Jing, the petite little girl with a cute braid and a sunshine-like smile. "Did anyone see her?" she asked Chi Xian.

"No, I don't think so," he shook his head after a brief thinking. "But we should keep our distance just to be sure," he suggested and so we did, as I saw three helpless children running.

Then another scene appears where both of the kids who helped me, their hands, feet, and necks were shackled. They were wearing thin blue patient gowns.

Pieces of the memory were missing and I was presented with my younger self standing in front of me while everything was pitch dark.

"Help," she whispers. "Help me," her head started tiling upwards as our eyes met. "Tell me, was what I did for the best?" her voice started cracking as she slowly landed on her knees. "Did I even have a choice?" as my surroundings began to be colorful, a ton of voices overlapping the other as she weeps clutching her head.

"Hello there," a cold but gentle tone echoed as I was left in another blank black surrounding.

"Who are you?" my child's voice answered back.

"Your savior, your friend, a holy being," the voice began to have a man's voice. "The reaper of souls, a monster, the devil," then a crooked laugh once again showed me the little version of myself smiling with satisfaction.

"Excuse me," a faint whisper woke me up. "Captain Rei," another call as I didn't respond. Suddenly getting up as someone's arms started to extend to grab me and I didn't hesitate to strike back. I twisted the skinny arm, brought it to his back, and grabbed his neck with my other hand. There was no sign of retaliation but I still kicked the back of his leg which led him to fall on his knees as I pinned him down on the floor, his face eating dirt.

"That hurts!" he shouted, enduring my hold. "What are you doing, Captain Rei?" his shaking voice made me doubt for a few seconds.

"You can't fool me twice," with a firm grip, I cleared my tone and scanned his whole body. And I was about to slit his throat when I noticed his hands going to his holster. "Try me," I got close to his ear and attempted to intimidate him. He stopped squirming and loosened his retort. "Where is he?" as I still get my knives closer to his skin.

"What do you mean? Who?" he frantically speaks as he shakes.

"I told you, didn't I? Fooling me twice won't work," my volume slipped as I stuck the knives to the ground, lightly scratching his cheeks.

"I don't know, please believe me," his eyes started to tear up.

My eyes inspected the whole room when I suddenly heard a familiar tone from a far away distance. My head turned everywhere, trying to find where it was coming from.

"Captain Rei, my earpiece," he fearfully whispered. "She's here, we'll be there in a minute," he replied to what was asked of him. I grabbed his communicator out of his ears and plugged it into mine.

"That rascal is troubling everyone," it was auspicious timing that authentically cleared all my suspicion of the guy. It was undoubtedly the Supreme General's voice and vocabulary capacity.

"Who're you calling a rascal?" I answered with my earpiece as I accidentally threw the boy's when I instantly heard his comment. Which made him break my hold and stand up.

"How far did you wander off to? It's already past the time I told you. Stop troubling anyone and get your butt right here," he sounded pissed as he ordered and instantly cut our connection.

"My sincerest apology," I took a peak to see him rubbing the back of his neck as he took his distance from me. "I'd appreciate it if you just forget everything that happened," I sighed and started to run back to the place where we were supposed to rendevous.
