"The unpleasant smell is getting stronger!" said Paimon.
"*Cough*...*cough*...*cough*..." Klee couldn't stand the smell and began to cough.
Chongyun took out some talismans and threw them like darts at the evil spirit.
"Ha...child's play!" the evil spirit smirked and spitted out some green liquid from her mouth. The liquid flew straight at the talismans.
"Ew...that looks...dirty!" Paimon commented.
The suspicious green liquid touched the talismans and immediately made them wet and stink, soon destroying them.
"My turn now!" said the evil spirit.
After she said that, a black trash bag which had been put separately an on it "BE CAREFUL! BROKEN TEST TUBES!" could be seen, opened. Several pieces of glass flew out and headed straight towards the group with their sharp points.
"Get behind me!" Noelle said and jumped forward. She immediately created a shield with her Geo Elemental Skill "Breastplate", which shielded her and those who stood behind her from the glass. However, as her shield was not designed to protect everyone who is standing together as a group, some of them still got injured. However, the group protected Alexy and Klee unharmed, while Paimon floated too high for the pieces of glass to reach.
"Th...thanks!" Alexy said.
"Ahahaha...no problem, we don't want you to get in trouble with your mom when you go home." said Kaeya as he wiped the blood on his face, which got cut by the glass.
(Huh...I feel so useless getting protected like that!) thought Alexy.
"Hey little exorcist, you can manipulate elements with thaumaturgy, right?" Lisa turned to Chongyun and asked.
"Ah, that..."
Chongyun took out a purple talisman and threw it into the air. The talisman floated to above the evil spirit's head.
"Huh!"
"LIGHTNING, HEAR ME, I BESEECH YOU TO STRIKE EVIL OUT OF THIS LAND!"
Then from the talisman, purple lightning struck down at the evil spirit.
BAM
"Argh!"
"One more time!" Chongyun shouted.
BAM
...
"One more time!"
BAM
BAM
BAM
...
After striking the evil spirit seven times, the talisman dissipated.
"Have you successfully exorcised it?" Alexy asked Chongyun.
"I don't think so...but the evil spirit should be greatly weakened by the lightning spell."
"Brother Exorcist, you're so awesome!" said Klee.
"Please don't...you're making me embarrassed..." Chongyun said as he scratched his head.
"Klee hopes that she can make bombs that sound as big as the lightning just now!" said the little red girl.
"..." everyone was speechless.
(Muahahaha, I just have a new idea, I will make Electro bomb,...I should get Lisa or Brother Razor to help me.) Klee thought.
And the adults of the Knight of Favonius with Paimon immediately knew what she was thinking, judging from her face expression.
"What just happened?" a girl spirit said as she appeared out of the trash heap, which made everyone alerted again.
"Who are you guys? What are you all doing here at night? Are you planning something evil?" the girl asked.
"She's the same spirit,...but I don't feel any malice in her now." Chongyun said as he walked closer to the girl. Then he stopped and looked at the girl, the girl also looked at him.
"You have pure-Yang spirit?"
"You have pure-Yin spirit?"
They both asked at the same time.
"Pffft...sorry" Alexy apologized as he stopped himself from laughing.
"HAHAHAHA...the way you two spoke at the same time, and how you two look at each other like you were drawn to each other, it was hilarious!" Paimon laughed out loud and did not apologize at all, which made both Chongyun and the ghost girl so embarrassed.
"A male who possess pure-Yang spirit and a female who possess pure-Yin spirit are naturally drawn to each other...just like two poles of a magnet." Lisa stepped in and explained.
"Please tell me what is happening, I'm confused!" said the ghost girl.
"Ah, it's like this..."
Paimon opened her mouth before anyone could and told the story from the beginning.
"Sigh...I suppose this is when I tell you the story of my life..."
--- (Ghost Girl's story)
I was born with a rare constitution called pure-Yin spirit, although I don't know it's called so until much later. From my young age, ghosts and spirits were attracted to me, and I could see them, I even played with them. I thought it was like that for everyone, but I soon realized other kids were different. I learned it the hard way, I became the outcast in elementary school. When I entered secondary school, I kept the fact that I could see supernatural things a secret.
About my parents...why didn't they help me, you ask...my mother passed away when I just turned six, my father was a prominent politician. Country Z's materialistic policies nowadays is just like back then. The government cracks down on religious and spiritual matters, and it was particularly hard in the '50 and '60. So my father wouldn't believe me, he barely looked at me anyway, he only focused on his political career.
In 1963, my father spearheaded a confiscation of the biggest seminary which belonged to the Catholic Church in the country. It was turned into the school you're in now. And I, as the daughter of the politician who spearheaded the confiscation, entering this school was a must.
However, due to...a mistake of me, my secret was exposed, and I became an outcast again, this time, not without bullying from others. Those b******...ahem, girls, they went from using the human figures in Biology room to scare me, to shove me down the stairs, and force me to drink toilet water, or pouring trash from the trash can on my head. That's why I'm a stink ghost.
Of course, I was not the type to endure everything and not saying anything. I could prove that they did bully me and I had way to conceal my supernatural secret from the higher-ups. But that da** principal, John Cliff, yes, "our beloved first principal", who wanted to further his career and bullying would deal damage to his reputation, image and career path, so he tried everything to silence me. At that time, I couldn't tell my father either because he had become Ambassador to the U.S and had been staying there for 3 years, leaving me alone.
One day, one of their bullying acts got too far, I died...please I don't want to say about how I died. Principal Cliff, of course, suppressed the truth and said it was an accident. My father did return for my funeral, that was the first and only time he showed his care for me...at least he arranged for a private funeral and did not use it to promote his image.
After my death, aside from my funeral, I'm stuck here, at this school. I always feel that my anger and hatred for those that harmed me and ignored it is unquenchable. Seeing those b****** graduated made my heart ached and spiteful,...but I could not bring myself to harm them.
Some years later, Principal Cliff was fired due to financial misconduct, my father fell out of grace with the President, those b****** all married violent husbands, they either lost everything they tried so hard for or their lives were miserable...I thought my hatred would end at that time and I would be able to move on,...but there was always something deep in my heart crying for vengeance, I want their lives to be MISERABLE, NOT ONLY THAT, THIS WHOLE SCHOOL AND THOSE ASSOCIATED WITH IT MUST BEAR CONSEQUENCES.
---
"Please, calm down, I'll find way to help you!" said Chongyun.
"Why does she need to calm down? She is right when she wants vengeance!!!" a voice chimed in.
The group turned to the direction of the voice. There was a painting floating in the air, inside the painting was a middle-aged man in red with big mustache.
"It's you and that evil spirit who held the shamisen that corrupted this girl, am I right?"
"You are correct. Oh, it is rude of me not to introduce myself first, I am..."
"Vl...Vlad the Impaler!!!" Alexy shouted.
