Hearing his mom question Alex became speechless. He didn't answer his mom question fast. It made her misunderstand more. Her suspect of him doing drugs became more deep.
"Alexi Brahma Tarigan! Answer your mom!" Alex mom sounded very angry. Though the anger in her tone didn't clouded her beautiful voice.
"Mom... It's not that." He answer with a quiet tone. He was thinking hard how to get out this situation. He didn't counter the situation like this in the last 300 years afterall.
"Then what?! What are you... Are you really doing drugs?! Goodness, Alexi how could you do this to your mom... In the first place you shouldn't..." His mom rambling on and on. Alex quietly listening to her, waiting her anger to subsidies.
After at least 10 minutes of continuous rambling Alex could hear panting sound from the other side of the phone.
"So... Young man, what is your reason of doing that? I know universities is hard but you shouldn't—"
"It's not that mom! I'm not doing drugs." Said him cutting her before she continue he felt tired hearing his mom nag but he was smiling. Oh, how he misses his mom nagging him.
The hundreds years long battle without his loved ones makes his heart black. He just killing and ordering people to be killed. Hearing his mom worried tone made him very warm inside. So he smiling like an idiot.
"Then what? You calling your mom just because you want to say that? Are your allowance not enough?" Says his mom with a worried tone. The change in her mom tone is in a very surprising rate of pace.
"No mom... I just wanna hear your voice." Says Alex honestly
"Really? Why don't I believe you I wonder... Didn't you said that last week but demand another allowance?" His mom tone change again to a suspicious one.
"No mom... this time for real. I didn't need those allowances. I just wanna hear your voice."
"... Fine then if you dont want to be honest with your mom then fine, I won't ask. But please... Don't do drugs okay."
"I won't mom, promise."
"I see..." Hearing Alex words she finnaly gave in. He never lie to her, so she could easily believe him.
"Yes mom, I just want to say that I love you,... very much."
"Geez, stop saying it. You really make me worried now."
"Hehe..." He laugh sheepishly
"Ugh... Do you want anything else? If not let's call it off. Your mom still have works to do. If you needs anything just call mom."
"Okay... Thanks mom, love you."
"Yes, yes. Don't forget to study , m'kay. Goodnight, mom loves you too."

The call went off. In the previous live his mom is really a caring person until her death. She wasn't dead on the destruction of the earth. But on the space station that being attacked by 'Abalon', the superclass battleship from wretched 'grogol'. Remembering her last voice in the previous life he clenched his hand. A loud growling sound came from his stomach. He forgot he still haven't eaten dinner. He stood up then stretch his body, and wore his yellow jacket that hanging on the door.
