Chapter 11 - Chapter 10

It's been a week since the day Ollie broke down. We.. I haven't talked about it with him. What had really happened to him that day, and if it's going to happen again. I hope not. Not because it's a burden to me but I can feel the exhaustion from him and I don't want him to feel that way.

The town festival is two days away. Everyone is eager to participate on such event. Our town might be small but big on events. Just like the last year, the mayor have asked my mom if she could make her recipe again. "My  colleague really loved your curry." his words. My mom agreed, so it's mandatory that we should help her. God knows how many people would be eating the curry. The mayor gave us the budget for it so I think it's fair.

Ollie comes everyday, mostly teaching me a different lessons, and it was great and fun. And sometimes we just hangout: Alex and Connie comes hanging out as well. I couldn't be more happier. I took an online job. I guess it will spare some nessessities to the house. Mom have been working so hard these past years. If there's an award for the Mom of the Year she would have won, at least, in this town.

"So what do you usually do on the day of the festival?" Ollie asks.

"I mean, I've been into few festivals before.." he says while his eyes scanning for an answers from all of us. His sprawling on the couch with Connie. While me and Alex are playing chess.

"Well for starters, the festival takes for a week. So that should be fun." Alex says, without looking at him. She's focused on beating me on our game. Which by the way, she only beat me twice ever since we started playing chess and that was years ago. I look at him and smile. He averted his eyes and blush.

"Really? I never knew festivals can take that long." he says. "Yeah, at least, in this town. The officials may have some excuse to procrastinate the more pressing matters. Well, what do I care, I'm leaving in few months anyway." I rant. That is when the atmosphere suddenly changed. All eyes on me.

"I can only tell that you're excited." Ollie says, traced with sadness in his voice. "You'll be back right, Rafael?" Connie intervenes, eyes dewey.

"Of course." I say.

"Check-mate."

"You win this time." I say. "C'mon Ollie, let's go to my room." he looks at me then nod.

I lock the door then went to the bed. I feel exhausted barely doing anything.

"Are you okay?" Ollie asks.

I look at him and gesture him to come over. He walks slowly as if I'm going to hurt him or something. Not in a million years.

"Yeah."

"Okay."

"Okay."

The bed dips upon sitting on my side. I pull him and he squeaked. I laugh at him and that earned me a hard nudge on my ribs. I grunt and rolled over him. He continues on laughing and I fell into it, sound cheesy but it is what it is. I'm growing fond of this kid; more and more — everyday. We stay that way until one of us fell asleep. Or I did fell asleep, on top of him.

The weather is cozy and inviting. Drizzles have been pouring nonstop, perfect for cuddle days. And I needed one. It just happens that Ollie is here and I don't think he minds cuddling with me.

When I woke up it was around three in the afternoon; that I had miss lunch. Ollie had to miss it too because according to him I was sprawled all over him. I had to owe him somehow so here we are in the diner.

We ordered heavy meals since we both have skipped breakfast and lunch. And boy, we are starving. He insisted to pay for it before we even get here. I say I made him skip lunch but he said it was okay. He basically fell asleep as soon as I did. I didn't press it any longer so I let him. Though I gotta pay for the next meal, somewhat.

"God, that was satisfying." I say, rubbing my full tummy.

"We still have deserts to finish."

"Can we wrap it up and bring it home?"

"Sure if that's what you want." the happy waiter did it for us then we go on our way. We drive to his house and his dad is suprisingly at home.

"I'm back." his dad is having a drink in the living room while watching a basketball game. "Welcome back. Oh you brought your boyfriend." he says.

"Dad!"

"He's..."

"We're not..."

"Relax kids, just messing with you." he says lauging out loud. Ollie isn't amused at all. Am I not that boyfriend material at all? I grimace.

"Sorry bout that." he says.

"I don't mind." I say and he look at me in the eyes. "C'mon let's go upstairs."

"What about these deserts?"

"Oh, hold on let me put it in the fridge. You can give Con Con my desert when you get home, she would love it." he says as if he knew Connie what she loves and doesn't.

The door creeks in the hallway. I just only notice now that there's so much spare rooms in the house. He and Mr. Oswald are the only people in their house, so what's with the rooms. I'm not prying but curiosity just sparks in me.

We went inside his room and started a video game. We played for at least an hour which I suck by the way then we decided to just watch a movie. You probably know what it was now since I'm a sucker for it. And here we are lying on his bed. Spooning him like it's a normal thing to do. But neither of us care. His dad have checked up on us without our knowing and he left the door opened.

Later that afternoon, after hanging out with Ollie. We decided to meet up again in two days for the festival. I am getting a date with him after all. I mean it's not basically a date, but, I don't know what it's called these days. Whatever. I drove to the court for a quick basketball game. The gang is currently at play when I got here.

"Long time no see." Jensen says.

I rolled my eyes at him. "Just busy." I say.

"With Ollie." he says smirking. My eyes bulged. "Hey! There's no objection from me." he says afterward. Then we resume playing a basketball.

This day was great. I got to hangout with my family and my friends. Especially with Ollie. With Ollie.

Dreams have been visiting me more often these nights.
