Chapter 40 - Almighty Nomad VS Magic Lord

Before the entire battle started, Ray had allocated about 200 Skill Points into his Electricity Manipulation, boosting it up to Level 5.

Though this seemed like a low level to any ignorant observer, if electricity or in other words lightning was involved, it had transformed into a useful tool for incapacitating opponents.

"Electricity Manipulation: Mjölnir!"

He understood the capabilities of this Almighty Nomad; the man could stop him from flying just by retracting his hand, it was unbelievable—that was why he chose to attack first. After all, the one who took initiative always had the upper hand.

And as for Thor's hammer, he just made it up on the fly. This was something he'd developed after experimenting with the basic amount of information he got from the system and reading some Research packages.

'Since magic is just manipulating supernatural forces according to one's will, that means I can just use my mana points to create new skills that I've visualized in my mind. But there still has to be more to it.'

Hence, the development of the skill he just used at present. In all honesty, the skill wasn't in the grade of Level 5, instead; it was significantly higher—at least two times higher. That was probably the effect of him visualizing the skill and not the system generating it.

A bunch of drifting clouds appeared over Almighty Nomad's head and formed a giant storm cloud. The other didn't react, thinking it was an attack he could handle.

However, that changed the moment he saw the bolts of red lightning flashing occasionally within the cloud.

'Shit, I have to get out of her fast!'

But he was too late, by the time he'd reacted Ray had already given the command.

"Fall!"

Not just one, not two, not five! Over fifty large bolts of red lightning, all descended at the same time. The chat went crazy, some were already even looking for Ray's social media handles, to follow his actions.

'Heh, that ought to be good for mere warming up.'

Ray gloated to himself a bit the opened up his status (in his mind) to look for the next move to use. All this while since the come of the "apocalypse" he'd only been really focused on fighting without actually fighting, so his hand-to-hand combat skills were basically non-existent.

'Dammit, so what to do.'

Meanwhile, he didn't realize the trigger of these sets of events was watching him right at that moment.

. . .

"Oh? What's this, two of my 'Chosen Ones' are engaging in battle, this will be fun to watch. One of them has the power of the so-called system while the other controls the sands of times and the clouds in the nine skies. What will this turn out to be like?"

Raion's familiar silver mirror was in front of him floating in the air.

His sixteen subordinates surrounded him from all sides, his two right-hand men by his side, Four Horsemen directly in front and the ten Deadman generals kneeling in front of him.

"My Lord, might I ask a question?" Lim Hyun-woo, the man Raion called his Cold Horse general tried his luck at asking a question, hoping Raion would answer his question.

"Go ahead."

Seeing Raion accept humbled him even more, so instead of lifting his head, he kept it down.

"Why did you select these so-called chosen ones? Why not just do what you seek to do instead of wasting this time playing with the lifeforms of this planet and others."

Silence blasted through the entire building just as he said that; evidently everyone was thinking the same thing. At first, the abrupt silence made the general feel like the question angered Raion.

But Raion's next words provided more information on the question not only that, but the question, in fact, provided more information on the situation of the entire universe.

"Do you want to know why I even came to this damned universe in the first place?"

No one answered, they considered it rude and that it insulted the one who gave them 'life'. But Raion didn't even intend to let them speak in the first place, he answered his own question.

"It was because of the world—the world, my mother told me to come here! Do you know what she said?"

"She said: 'There's a special universe hidden deep within my innards, the legendary Seraphim and Ancient Ones reside there.' And as for the reason, she told me about this place; it's merely because I was seeking some fun and much like you, Diamond-Gold general—I was looking for battle!'

His words sounded ethereal as if he was both there and wasn't.

"Thank you for the answer, my Lord." Lim bowed subserviently and went back to thinking.

"Oh, but I haven't answered your question yet." After that, Raion didn't say anything again.

. . .

Unbeknownst to them, the one known as the Dark Aristocrat was observing their match. But Ray hadn't won yet, the real fight was just fighting.

"Cough Cough!"

The dust settled back to the ground, and Ray heard coughing sounds coming from the sky. Standing just above the dispersing storm cloud, was the man who called himself the Almighty Nomad.

"Damn, kid. Your attacks pack a punch. But some concentrated bolts of electricity falling out of the sky isn't enough to stop me, just saying."

"Shut the hell up, you weird old geezer!"

"Basic Wind Magic- Wind blade!"

He activated the wind blade hundreds of times all aiming for the same person—Almighty Nomad.

"Hmph, wind magic won't work with me!"

Like he was swatting flies away, he waved his hand sideways a little, and the concentrated blades of sharp wind energy dispersed into nothingness.

"Hoho, are you done attacking me kid? I think it's my turn now."

"Eh, keep dreaming!" Ray didn't want to give this dangerous man any avenue to attack him.

"Machine Lord Transformation- Machine Gun BARRAGE!"

His hands became mechanical, and compartments formed on them. He joined the arms together and watched as they connected, forming a very advanced machine gun.

"FIRE!"

Fire vaguely appeared at the tip of his fingers each time a bolt of orange flew out of them. Ray took aim at the sky where Almighty Nomad stood, hoping these bullets would at least scratch him.

But...

Sounds of metal banging against each other resounded as each bullet met with Almighty Nomad's skin, smoke came off his skin like he was some sort of exhaust pipe.

"Are you done now, child?"
