Chereads / NEW YEAR AND AN APOCALYPSE / Chapter 210 - Chapter 210: A DEAL WITH THE DEVIL

Chapter 210 - Chapter 210: A DEAL WITH THE DEVIL

Satan looks at Hanah, looking for some sort of hidden anger,

But he failed to detect anything, no matter how hard he tried.

He doesn't believe it though,

And thus, quickly looked the other way, thinking they still want him to die.

He felt wrath in his veins,

Thinking that her kindness was a lie,

A trick, a deception of some sort,

Since how could she look this kind?

When she isn't hidden from the fact he's the worst.

He sighed deeply, and Hanah looked at him eagerly,

Than respond to her question though,

He simply spoke, "Just kill me."

The statement shocked Hanah,

As Satan's eyes were devoid of hope.

She felt pity, despite knowing his sins,

But knew he's still not sorry for his works.

She then sung a lullaby,

Usually sung when they were still angels,

And with such nostalgia and sweet melody,

Satan couldn't help to release more tears.

"You know that well,

You used to sing it the loudest.

You have a great and soothing voice, Faegan,

Perhaps you should sing it this time."

Her lack of malicious intent further irritate the demon,

There was no way, she meant it all.

He grits his teeth again, until he accidentally bit himself,

Despite the blood oozing from his mouth,

He doesn't seem to care.

"Stop the act, will you?

Do you know who you're talking to?"

"I'm talking to Faegan, a friend of mine,

So can you please, pass him the line?"

Satan's eyes widened in further disbelief,

And even if he wanted to kill her,

His hands were bound with chains.

He simply stayed put, and sighed once more,

Frustrated, of it all.

"I'll kill you first once I'm out of these chains.

I'll kill everyone, I'll make you pay."

"What are you talking about?

We both know you're contradicting yourself a lot.

Faegan, you and Satan are not one.

I can see that, you're never truly gone.

For, if you truly are gone in there,

Then why did your darkness gloomed this way?

You know I can see intentions as well,

And seeing you, you were different than the older days.

Faegan, I am patiently waiting for you to be free,

This is not who you used to be.

If-"

"I won't change no matter what,

You know I owe Lucifer a lot."

"Owe him for what?

For sending you both to hell?

For making you grieve for eternity?

For using you for his own gains?

Faegan, you're not blind and you can tell,

He had been everything, but fair."

"You don't understand anything, even with your compassionate eyes.

He and I, weren't too different, when you care to look inside.

He gave me something not even heaven can,

He gave me pride and a name, so popular it plagued the lands."

"But did it make you happy the way you were before?"

Hanah's question, tore a hole.

And Satan, who've completely immersed himself in the loneliness,

Was quick to answer, "No."

He shifted his position,

His arms numb to the tight chains,

He looked at the angel and then,

Bowed his head, recalling the pain.

"You don't know how it feels to be near death,

As you, angel of graces, are always safe.

You don't know how unfair it felt,

When I was there to save everyone, but not one to save myself.

To me, despite Lucifer's clear flaws, he was god.

As when all of you abandoned me, he stretched his hand.

Since then, the anger in my heart failed to leave,

After all I've done, not even God thought of saving me.

Everyone but the man you deemed the worst, saved me."

"And do you really think we didn't felt sorry?"

"If you did, then would you have told me so?

For I remember clearly, most of you hated me the most."

"Because we thought you'll die a noble hero,

But than be nearer to God, you opposed."

Satan did not look at her eyes,

He do not want to argue, as she only sees one side.

Hanah on the other hand, feels the same way.

Perhaps Satan, could also not be reasoned with, nor saved.

She stands up, upset that Satan was still dominating,

But after she hears him sniff, looked at him again, who by then, was visibly crying.

Hanah wanted so badly to comfort him,

But was afraid that Satan was going to trick her again.

He was the lord of deception after all.

But...half of her felt as if the emotions were raw.

Still, she couldn't risk falling for a trap,

And with a sad sigh, left him alone in the dark.

She knows too well that she is a soft person,

And if she fell too deep, might free him from his prison.

Hanah closed her eyes as she tried her best-

To ignore his clear sadness, and longing for an embrace.

After all,

She cannot just be contented with a demon who isn't fully sorry,

No matter the fact, that some goodness still remains in him.

Satan continued to cry in despair,

His heart seemed to tighten, as he chokes for air.

Michael hears it on the other side,

As Hanah passes by him, telling him Faegan's still inside.

Michael did not want to listen,

As he wanted to kill Satan to pay.

Hearing that goodness still exist in him,

Makes it harder for him to not care.

He was going to use him for something else,

Yet hearing his sobs, made his heart waver as well.

He then decided to open the door again,

And with his mere presence, Satan froze in place.

He looks at Michael with caution, and did not even blink.

But Michael only looked at him, than give another kick.

He sighs as he observes Satan's messy appearance,

And was about to clean his wounds, when he saw Satan flinch at an instant.

He was then aware that the demon does not deem him welcomed,

And realizing he's uncomfortable, decided to ask for assistance.

.

.

.

Ken hears the conversation that no angel wanted to be near Satan,

And quickly asked what the matter was.

When he realized that Satan was already chained and could barely move,

He quickly offered himself to help, but many disapproved.

Stacy, who had arrived in time was quick to volunteer,

And unlike what Jacob told her, she did not let her cover slip.

She was confident she can use her false innocence to earn more gain,

And felt very joyous, when he heard of Satan's capture,

Yet her calm demeanor, on the outside remained.

Ken felt a weird energy from her however,

As he sees an aura of impurity, circling her.

She looks at him, and sweetly smiles,

"I know you're worried about me, so thanks a lot."

Ken felt confused, and as he was new to his form,

Did not know what the aura was for.

He held her arm and stopped the blonde,

Certain that something is not right.

Martha watched on the other side,

Wondering if everything was alright.

Lluming however, had the same suspicions,

But unlike Ken's, it was firmer.

He sighed as he walks between them,

And as he knew their argument wouldn't end,

Convinced Ken to free Stacy,

But that doesn't mean he wouldn't listen.

Ken looked at Stacy with the same troubled eyes as before,

Looking for some sort of clear answer.

He blinked time and time again, but a strong feeling was always there,

Telling him it's not a dream, but a serious matter to tell.

Martha comes to his side,

Thinking he was just concerned for her,

And in an attempt to comfort his heart,

She decided to just talk to him.

That did not distract Ken from the fact that Stacy felt different.

Like all of their past suspicious were more evident.

Right...from the moment she reappered,

She didn't feel like the real Stacy, whom he treasured dear.

Lluming looks at the seer,

Stopping him from coming near.

"Let her do her thing,"

He says, blocking Ken with his wing.

Stacy successfully reached the room,

And felt a clear satisfaction, seeing Satan, filled with wounds.

Satan recognized the scent and opened his eyes,

And when he saw a petite and weak looking girl enter,

he was greeted by surprise.

Stacy smiles with evil intent,

And hid it with her angelic voice,

"I'm here to mend your wounds,

Now don't mistaken me, I'm here as I was told."

Satan was not buying anything,

He knew right away, she was lying.

He smiles mockingly as he spits in her direction,

"Leave me. You're not fooling no demon."

That was when Stacy showed her true colors,

And stepped on Satan's head, just to show him who's boss.

Satan quickly felt angry, as his red eyes glowed,

But the chains were so heavy, he could barely move.

"Just be thankful I'm here to offer you help,

No angel wanted to mend your wounds because of hate.

And if you think I'm a backstabbing whore then there's no use in hiding it, right?

So here's the revelation...and what if I am?"

"You...you're one of Azazel's minions,"

"Minion? Use your words wisely, or I'll open more,"

"Why are you doing this? Are you too stupid? Are you not afraid of me?"

"I'm not afraid of anything."

"Then, why are you here?

What are you doing in my confinement?

I know you're not loyal to the angels,

But you're not loyal to the demons as well."

"I need something from you, of course!

Let's make a deal of some sort!

You make me stronger, and I'll let Lucifer know where you are,

If you decline, then I'll pretend you're trying to kill me.

You'll surely die in a whim."

"You truly are a stupid girl no doubt,

I won't share my powers with no one,"

"No, you're the stupid one,

I know you're afraid of death as anyone."

Satan struggled to free himself,

Wanting to kill the woman right away.

But the woman only looked at her basket,

Looking for poisonous compounds, she could easily inject with her devices.

"You're smart enough to know I was lying before,

Maybe you're smart enough to know I'm serious with my choice?

So...yeah, pick your side, Lord Satan,

You suffer in my hands, or...give what I want?"

...

Lluming, who is quietly listening on the other side,

Quickly heard of Stacy's plan,

He thought about confronting her,

But a voice in his head, told him to change his mind.

He walked quietly, not wanting to be found out,

As Stacy sighed, upon hearing the retreating sound.

"Too bad, I thought the angel was going to barge in,

If he did though, then I would have been able to inject him with this,"

She flaunts Satan with a green liquid,

Which sparked the demon's curiousity.

"Oh, you wanna find out what this do?

Then, could you lend me your body for use?"

Satan ignored her and asked a different question,

"What angel are you talking about?"

"Didn't you hear the noise?

That stupid blond angel who is always looking at me with such scary eyes,

With how many times he've been stalking me, I got his footsteps memorized."

"So you're in trouble too?"

"Not really, there's not much he can do.

There's not much THEY can do,

Since after this conversation, you'll give me what I want,

Unless you want to die, by denying my plans."

Satan sighed as he sees no other way,

And with the woman looking serious as ever,

He agreed to lend him his power,

In exchange for help.

Stacy smiles happily when the demon nodded,

Oh, it was a fact, that no one could paint her excitement.

She felt so happy, she couldn't bare to wait.

"My, my, this might be my lucky day."
