Ken then looks back at the scene before him,
Many are wounded, barely fighting, frozen still.
He sighs as he checks each one, and despite their confusion of his true nature,
Were just happy that somehow, he had managed to come back alive.
Raphael tried to stand up despite the pain,
As the angels urged him to simply rest and stay.
"I can't...I am summoned to somewhere else.
There are still children, I needed to save."
"I hate to say this, but you will certainly die out there,
Your energy is low compared.
I don't think you could even walk nor stand,
If you keep pushing this, it'd be no difference to suicide."
Aza says as she helps aid his wounds,
"Raphael had healed so many, that his energy is way too low."
And scared that he would be gone soon,
Aza proposed to take him back to heaven, to heal his wounds.
"I can't simply leave you here,
The angels, they're as wounded as me,"
"Then take these troops with you, we'll be fine out here,
It's better than to see you die, we'll manage, so don't fear."
Raphael wanted to stay but knew,
That he could be a burden than help if he stays crippled as he is,
He then accepts despite the want to stay and help,
But truth be told, he is already near death.
"Fine, take me and take the unable,
I will come back, as soon as I can,"
The angels and reapers rejoiced as he, along with others disappear,
Knowing that at least, they'd be safe, and heal.
Martha then turns to Ken, who, even after what seemed like an effortless display,
Looked quite bothered and pale.
"Ken, are you alright?"
"I am, don't worry I'm fine."
"I'm going to complete Raphael's mission,"
Humility said, about to walk on,
A hand stopped him however,
"You're already drained of power."
Ken was sincere, and seeing that he's not even as steady,
Proposed to take his place instead.
But Humility did not agreed with the plan,
"You're stronger, Ken, so you can protect those left behind.
If you take my place, and a new threat comes,
I would simply have no chance."
"And the difference out there?"
"I'm telling you, I can manage."
Ken scratches his head as he thinks,
But Humility was as stubborn as he is.
Martha seemed to be getting tired of their discussion,
She yawned and closed her eyes for a second.
But when she heard a weird sound coming closer,
Quickly opened her eyes and saw someone standing behind the reaper.
She froze in fear as she pointed, quite alarmed,
Humility then quickly looked behind.
But quickly passed out after the figure hit his face,
"Stubborn brat, you think you can easily be replaced?"
A man with long hair and an eyepatch,
Walked forward, in his attire of white.
His remaining eye was as blue as the sky,
And his skin as pale as the ice.
Martha wondered who he was,
But before she could jump to conclusions,
He, himself, an introduction provide,
"I am the Emperor of Reapers, the one who commands."
"Emperor?" Martha looks at Humility,
"But why did you hit him suddenly?"
"I know him, he've changed through the years,
He seemed to not care about his own safety.
But I can't just allow the rank 1 to die,
I can't even make new reapers because of the troops I have to keep an eye.
Tsk, the angels should have handled this by themselves,
We should have only been responsible, if one is already dead."
"But we need your help,"
"I know, and this is the last time I will bless you with my presence,
Once Humility completes this mission,
I will pull out the remaining reapers."
The emperor then shares his flare with the sleeping reaper,
Repleneshing his lost energy and power.
He stands up, as he looks at the remaining angels,
"I don't care if your superiors would know of this as well."
...
The scent of blood and rust,
It was all she could smell with her nose.
155 complained softly,
But Haborym's double did not replied as what's supposed.
The female sighed a bit loudly,
As she almost trips from the stairs,
The double looked at her sharply,
And she wasn't sure if he was worried or pissed as hell.
The double then holds her hand,
Leading her a bit roughly for her taste.
But she didn't complained,
Afraid that she'd make him angry if she ever disobeyed.
Still, the silence was too much for her,
And she got a bit impatient too.
Many questions filled her mind,
Are the angels truly going to save her this time.
"Hey, hey, where do you think we'd see them?"
But the double only looks at her, as if to say be quiet.
She sighed once again, as she looks ahead,
Now, the cries of children could be heard as well.
"Haborym is quiet enough,
You, however, is a different level of quiet,
Fine, if you don't want to talk,
I guess I also shouldn't."
That was when she hears another voice,
The original Haborym looking at her close.
She almost cries as she sees his tattered clothes,
She embraces him, but he winced as he still had open wounds.
"You're still as talkative as ever,
Learn to have more poise."
"Well, I'm not a perfect little girl,
So you don't have much choice."
Haborym only pats her head,
As he looks at his double, who seemed rather emotionless.
Haborym then snaps his finger,
Making the clone merge to him in a second.
"You could have picked a better meet-up place,
This place stinks."
155 finally complained,
But Haborym felt taken aback of how she thinks.
"Idiot, we're here to rescue the half-humans,"
"I also need to find my son," A maid then reveals herself,
Her cheeks quite damped and her fingers trembling as well.
155 then walks towards her,
And in a hope to comfort, patted her shoulder.
"Couldn't you hear the children ahead?
If we leave them here, they'd end up dead."
The woman tells her as she feels a bit impatient,
After all, the place could collapse any moment."
"Oh, so we're rescuing children before we escape,
Are you sure the angels are going to save us, or are we just bait?"
155 asked as she seemed unsure,
Since she see no additional help, of this supposedly rescue.
"That's quite insulting to hear,"
A voice calls out from behind,
"We're not that type of creatures you know,
I'm here, to help you at all costs."
A man with curly short hair,
Then emerges from the darkness,
His eyes gleaming like blue diamonds,
And his skin as pale as the clouds devoid of storm.
His blue hair also looked quite exotic,
Making 155 step back, as she usually don't see people like this.
Demons usually have such color schemes,
So this person standing, is truly an otherworldly being.
He's also quite tall, taller than Haborym,
Though in comparison, he is a bit skinny.
He is dressed in what looked like expensive clothing,
Rather long and untimely, for a normal human to be wearing.
"Okay...who are you again?"
155 asked, still unable to comprehend.
"He's an archangel,"
"I know, but which one of them?"
"I'm Gabriel.
Archangel of Diligence."
"Ah, okay. So, how powerful are you?"
"What kind of question is that?"
Haborym then apologized to Gabriel,
But the angel only laughed,
Amused of the woman in red.
"She's such a ball of energy, huh?"
"Yes, she had always been like that."
"Are you insulting me or what?"
"It'd be better if we just continue our path."
Gabriel recommended as he pointed ahead,
"We don't have much time, so we need to be quick,"
"One last question, how many children would we save?"
"I don't know, but they're many, according to the information she gave,"
He pointed at the other maid,
Who is only shaking, could barely wait.
"I, I'm sorry, but can we walk forward now?
My son...I want to see him right now."
"Wait, wait, wait, at least give us a weapon,
The demons aren't dumb, you know?
They're probably infested by guards inside,
They may even smell at right now, and we're in for a surprise."
Haborym quickly breaks one of the empty cell bars,
And hands it to the woman he's beside.
"I don't think you would use it though,
I will protect you, and all you need is to stick close."
"That's sweet, buddy, but I also want to hit some heads,
So just pray for me that I won't end up dead."
Gabriel smiles as the former duke seemed shy,
He then urges the small group to hurry and comply.
"Hurry up, we don't have all night."
.
.
.
The demons guarding the cages quickly awoke after hearing unfamiliar steps.
They tried to search for the origin, but picked up a scent.
It was Haborym's, but somehow also mixed with an angel,
Did he brought one, to be locked in a cage?
They cannot understand though,
This was supposed to be for half-human children.
A demon stood up as the others urged him to check,
And despite the demon's own fear, decided to search nonetheless.
"It's either sir Haborym is threatening the angel,
Or the angel threatening sir Haborym,
or-" "Maybe you should pay attention to your surroundings,"
Gabriel suddenly appeared before him.
The demon fell to the floor, shaking,
In pure disbelief, that an archangel in flesh, is talking to him.
The other demons stood up in shock,
Are they still dreaming somehow.
"Y-your scent is faint.
I didn't expect an archangel in this place,"
"And I didn't expect you to be sleeping on your job,
Aren't you afraid of your sir Lucifer, perhaps?"
Gabriel mocked, as he quickly snaps the demon's neck,
He then smiled rather wide,
As he looks at the other three with delight.
"Who's next?"
And all they could do was run,
As Gabriel smiles, while running after them,
Always...always close behind.
