"You're seriously fine with all of this?"
155 consulted Haborym who felt quite amazed.
"Humans really are unpredictable,
I thought you'd at least be thankful."
"Thankful to that demon? Heh, the last thing I'd do is thank that fool,"
"Yes, but, if you think about it, it's not that bad of an offer,"
"Lucifer made me feel grateful for having him back then,
But where did it took me? To hell."
"But you had nothing to lose,
And well, now, you'll be safe from his abuse."
"But what if it's not the end of his scheme?
What if there's something more to it than it seems?"
"Well, that's to you, you're overthinking,"
"Overthinking?! Well, I'm sorry, I'm just not used to this,
To Lucifer, giving us a favor than will not benefit him.
I'm sure, so sure there's something more to this."
Sellena sighed in the background, as she try to stop the two,
"Your problems, won't get fixed if you further argue,"
"Well, mrs. Perfect, this is a matter of Life and Death,
I'm sorry if you don't understand a bit."
Sellena stops from saying another word,
Though shocked from 155's lashing, she understood,
However, she felt confused,
The way she was acting,
Doesn't match her age so old.
But it could be from the trauma she has,
Who knew how bad it was.
Lucifer will never do something that won't benefit him,
So it is quite scary, if you think deeper about it.
"Haborym, how are you so sure this is just a good oppurtunity and nothing more?"
"And how are you certain something bad will occur?
Get some sleep, we're all...very tired,"
Haborym said, as he slumped his head on the table.
Sellena felt pitiful and decided to offer the bed,
"Sir Haborym, you take it. You both should sleep well."
The demon, not wanting anymore but a peaceful rest,
Went quietly to the bed.
Not even bothering to mutter a soft thanks.
155 however, couldn't sleep that much.
Knowing just how Lucifer acted to her in the past.
You'd feel gratitude for having him, but you'll never know his schemes,
And yet...how can Lucifer give her something she dreams?
To be a wife of one of the highest demons.
To live life in comfort.
Even if it may be platonic between her and Aim,
It would still be an upgrade,
oh, the good food she'd be eating.
"Are you...still worrying?" Sellena asked, concerned.
"Don't worry about me, I..think I've...sorry,"
"There's nothing to be sorry for,"
"No, there's a lot to be sorry for.
Look, I told you to help me, didn't I?
Because...I don't want to stay here and die?"
"Yes, and I will-"
"Forget about it and think about yourself."
"What? Why?"
"I guess if what Haborym says is true, I'll live comfortably,
even if it's hell."
"You don't know what you're talking about,"
"Well, I'm tired of hoping and things not coming around,
Sellena, do you see another way out?
It seems impossible, even for you, a child with a God."
Sellena's eyes widened in shock,
As she saw the shimmer of hope in 155's eyes fade away.
She wanted to feel angry, to scold her but it may turn the demon awake.
So instead, she hid her frustrations, as she stare at 155,
disappointed in a way.
"How fast your mind change..."
She said, as she began to lose faith.
Faith in 155, that she'd ever be saved,
Since she's stubborn, to stubborn to take.
"Are you contented here? Eating good meals,
But feeling empty nonetheless?"
"Sellena, enough with the talking,
I'm getting married anyways.
Look, if you and that Asmo of yours still have plan to escape,
Good for both of you, but this is all I can take.
This is the best luck I've have in a thousand years,
If I disobey Lucifer, he'd kill me swift."
"And somehow you fear that demon than the wrath of the true God?"
"Sellena, the true God have always been unwilling to help me."
"Because you're too stubborn to be helped,
I thought you wanted to escape."
"Well maybe His help came too late.
Sellena, this is the best deal I've been forced to make.
Finally, I can dress a lot and-"
"155, think about this instead.
Think about your lavish comfort,
One day, going to waste."
Sellena warned as she walked away,
Wiping tears in her upset crumpled face.
Now with 155 unwilling to help her,
Sellena had to shoulder her plans alone.
But what could she do and how?
If no one seemed willing to help her now.
155 thought about what she said,
But she convinced herself that Sellena was being selfish.
Sellena had no right to judge her decisions,
She've never suffered as long as she did in those filthy prison.
She sighed, and looked at Sellena, sleeping in the corner.
Or was she sleeping? or praying? who knows.
Whatever she's doing, 155 shouldn't worry much of,
After all, she'll leave this play, as soon as November's over.
"Sellena...if only you knew,
How sad and gloomy it is to live as a slave,
But since you don't,
You always bombard me with your words of faith.
But I've had enough. I'm tired. I just want to rest.
I want nothing more,
But...a taste of happiness."
Tears rolled down her cheeks as she cry in bitter tears.
Sellena opened her eyes, and felt her heart break piece to piece.
The anger in her heart slowly melted away,
As she began to emphatize with the burdens of the slave.
However, if 155 is still persistent on taking the opportunity,
She had no right to disagree.
Suddenly, both women heard a shifting in the bed,
As Haborym yawned and sat awake.
"What are you crying about? I bet all my books nothing bad will happen,
Just, for the love of Sellena's God, stop crying."
But 155 couldn't help it.
So Haborym just sighed and pulled her to bed.
"I'm sleeping on my table, just stop crying.
You, Lady Sellena. Accompany her,
do what she wanted.
I...just want my rest.
I've had a tiring day."
...
Lucifer gathered the finest maids,
Which to him all bowed with grace.
They offered him their songs and cakes,
As they flaunt their talents so to not be replaced.
Lucifer could only laugh.
"Although having you all praise me is something I love,
Today, it won't be about me, but of my Duke Haborym.
As a gift for his long service, a wife I will offer him."
Murmurs filled the room as Lucifer waits for questions,
And when one bravely asked,
Lucifer answered, "No. 155, if you haven't guessed already,
Haven't you noticed? How close the two are lately?"
"155? That brat?"
Countless insults were carved in their minds,
And although they haven't said a word outloud,
Lucifer was sure they were insulting the lady by the way they tighten their mouths.
"You may have grudges towards that woman,
But...respect her as much as you can.
After all, she will now not be mine,
But to my old friend, and trusted ally.
Those who don't respect my ally's possession,
Will be slain by him, without question.
I don't care of whatever you think about their pairing,
But do your best to set up for their wedding.
If not, well, my dogs are always eager to eat,
No matter how many you have as meat."
With that, Lucifer leaves, as his other demon servants share the other details,
And soon the room was filled with busy maids,
Arranging the tables, the chairs and the plates.
However, one woman seemed to be bold,
As she despise 155 for taking away her goal.
As a woman with beautiful features and blonde curly hair,
She thought she had more chances enticing the Duke of hell.
However, who would have known that such a basic stubborn slave would catch his eye?
She felt nothing but envy and pride.
But, aware that her beauty had captured the demon knights' eyes,
She felt confident that Haborym will change his mind.
Maybe she just needed to act more seductive,
More stubborn, more...demonic.
And so, she plotted a plan to make the Duke all for herself.
As she looked at someone to use,
Oh, an older maid.
She whispered to her ear,
Offering a deal.
Since she had connections to the demon guards,
The curly blonde woman promised the mother to get her remaining son,
That is, if she puts a poisonous chemical to the bride's drink.
Only then will the blonde make a way for the deal.
Though hesitant at first, the mother had seen far too many times the convenience of her beauty.
She was often given favors by the knights, in exchange of her body.
She was still beautiful, despite the many men who had already used her,
Although risky, she'd do anything just to have both her remaining sons together.
She agrees and puts the sachet on her pocket,
As the two gave final exchange of glances.
The blonde winks as she moves away,
Seeminly seducing, another demon,
As the mother hoped for the best outcome to play.
Although she knew 155 personally,
And even comforted the woman when she first came to work as a maid eternally,
She cannot and will not let the opportunity slip.
And besides, if things don't go as planned,
She's still capable to kill the blonde.
She'll do anything for her sons.
