Chapter 169 - Chapter 169: FEAR, PRESSURE

Mar frantically looked at Michael,

And anyone that could be of help.

Are anyone going to lend them a hand?

The fight isn't going too well!"

"If one of the archangel leaves, the barrier will weaken further,"

Raphael commented, as Gabriel quickly agreed.

"Also, we don't know what could happen, the monster could split for goodness sake,

I've fought a lot of big monsters, to know how this could end.

It may attack our defenses.

There's just too much at stake."

Barachiel and Jegudiel examined the monster,

"Do you think it could split?" "No."

"Me either."

Selaphiel was shocked when Jegudiel got himself ready to leave,

"He grabbed his arm and refuses to permit.

"Lluming and Ken could die out there. And it wouldn't kill us to try,"

"Try...I don't trust that word. You may not come back alive."

"And so are they.

Aren't their lives also at mind?

Barachiel, help me reason out,"

The archangel of patience was about to speak,

until Ken quickly turned around.

"No! At all costs, don't open the barrier,"

All angels and Martha fell into confusion.

Stacy frowned, could he probably have known the trick?

Damn, and she thought he was easy to play with.

Zeharah noticed the sour expression on Stacy's face.

And observed her from that second forward, until Stacy felt self-aware.

She quickly sighed and pretended it was worry that drove her to change,

And even went as far as talking to Ken.

"Stupid, how can the world be saved if you're going to die,"

Stacy yelled, as Mar exclaimed, "Right!"

Ken frowned quickly, and repeated his words,

"Don't at all costs, open the door.

I saw a set of footprints,

Visible in the soil,

And if the barrier opens

Danger will await you all."

Michael's eyes bulged out in shock,

And went closer to the barrier to give a look.

Lower Angels and humans panicked at the news,

As Raphael quickly assured them that all things could be endured.

Mar forced herself to watch further,

Even though in the background, she could hear their hollers.

Children were forced to be far away from the cave's entrance,

Muffling the growls of the monster, from their ears, but it was not enough for a distance.

Stacy had the two children she shared the room with,

Quickly clung to her as they cry and demanded to be picked.

As much as she hated whining,

The moment she saw their devastated looks, she can't help but submit to their pleads and left without further trying.

She took them back to the room and told them to sleep,

But the monster they saw, they couldn't erased, they couldn't flip,

And thus, Stacy was forced to stay there, assuring them the fight would be won,

Even though she secretly wishes, that the monster finishes the mission soon.

...

("Son of a Wraith...this isn't how things should be.")

Eligorr commented, as his disguise had been discovered by he,

He quickly flew, not wanting to give more evidence,

But now how can he inject more healing properties to the monster,

"Damn that Ken."

And Ken seemed to sense him too,

As he kept looking at the air, although his exact location is unsure.

Lluming however, was busy finding out just where to hit the beast,

But no matter how fatal his attacks are, it doesn't even falter weak.

Samael opens his eyes.

But all he saw is red in the skies.

He then realized he had bloodied his sight,

And that he felt the stinging pain for the first time.

The drug Azazel gave him, was running out,

He needed to reunite with Stacy, right now.

No matter how strong he may be, if he feels pain somehow,

He feels himself immobalized, unable how.

He coughed, and Ken quickly positioned himself in a protective stance.

"Can you see the enemy? Do you have special eyes?"

Ken asked, hopeful he could lend some hand,

But Samael couldn't even see a thing,

He was lost in a trance.

He tried to stand up, but he kept falling back,

As a black smoke, escapes from his opened lungs.

Ken felt scared, seeing the mangled moving flesh,

But he knew he'd saw more in the future, so he tried not to mind,

though the sight is still fresh.

"Who...and why, and how did they knew?

Did they, by your scent, figured out the clues?"

Ken asked as he continued to look at the sky,

Looking if something, is odd in his eye.

His brown eyes turned blue,

As new set of eyes opened in his left,

Even though it gave him such a headache,

He saw seconds into the future,

But no enemy showed itself.

Impatient of just watching Lluming struggle, as he, guard,

He ran with all his might and jumped as high,

Although not his forte, he imagined he fly,

And though it felt heavy, he did, was lifted to the sky.

It feels like drowning without water, holding your breath,

As he feels like a stone, being blown by an invisible current.

He swung his coat around, to see where it may hit,

But instead, he felt a tight grip.

He quickly used his ability to see the future,

And was shocked to see nothing yet again,

He grabbed whoever was holding him but had a punch meet his face,

As he was thrown back to the ground,

And the archangels froze in place.

"Right. I really need to help him,"

Jegudiel argued but Michael resisted.

"There could be more of them,

Do as Selaphiel said."

The archangel of Temperance smiled at being acknowledged.

But despite it, he hoped Ken could figure who the invisible creature was,

Or if they're many, in fact.

Eligorr whistled to the monster to attack the barrier instead,

As he take care of Lluming and Ken.

The creature, as if heard a call,

Followed his orders, and ignored Lluming's attacks.

It charged at the barrier, as Eligorr injected another dose,

Ken by then, forced himself to rose.

He saw a glimpse of the monster having a visible hole,

As if someone pricked it with a needle,

And it quickly closed.

The monster kept banging the barrier, and got even stronger with every hit,

The archangels ordered the angels to stay back and protect the humans within.

As they themselves, with all their might make the barrier as formidable as they can,

But the monster grew bigger, times nine.

Eligorr knew that Ken was to charge,

But Ken knew that Eligorr would dodge.

So he blasted the Monster's head in surprise,

And waited until Eligorr dropped his guard.

"Whoah, Ken, stay back from there!

The monster...it can get you killed!"

Lluming ran towards him and screamed,

But as the monster healed itself his inspection begin.

He blasted a straight ray of light in it's body,

And saw that some invisible thing quickly moved and disappeared.

He blasted around him, making the archangels question his action,

As even Lluming got damaged by his own decisions.

Black feathers flew in the air,

As the two then heard an audible yelp.

Since the smoke had travelled to the sky,

Ken knew the creature would have difficulty to rise.

He asked Lluming to do the same.

To blast his surroundings with hot light that could turn to flames.

And even though it'd destroy the trees around them.

Lluming was more than willing to play the game.

Eligorr had no choice but to reveal himself,

As he opens his barrier in defense.

It made it clear when that particular area was not touched by flames,

That whoever the enemy was, it was there.

Ken quickly walked towards the area,

Activating his seer abilities and seeing its face,

It went to the right, so he'll do just the same,

And he managed to get a grip of the creature with no problem.

Ken threw the man out of spite,

But got taken down with one strike,

He coughed and asked for Lluming's turn,

As Lluming quickly tackled the man,

burning his coat.

And just when he was about to attack again,

He saw Eleazar's face, staring back at him.

When the smoke cleared out and the archangels know what was happening,

They quickly panicked and screamed at him.

"Kill him! He's not your brother!"

"Lluming! Get it together!"

The small moments of distraction just made the monster push the barrier more and more,

Making the cave rattle and gave signs of its fall.

Ken quickly remembered that he could absorb,

And wondered if he could do the same to monsters,

He quickly ran towards the eyeless creature but it turned,

He would have been swiped away if Samael didn't survived that long.

The demon, flesh now burned and slowly healing,

Went to its main head and had it distracted.

"Whatever you're thinking, do it now, kid,"

Samael said, as Ken quicky rose his hand and went through with it.

Unfortunately, it's not the case,

And if he failed to think of another option as quickly,

Then doomed will be his race.

He then remembered that if the head don't work,

The heart could be the next target,

But how can he know where it is,

When its flesh is this thick.

He then quickly had an idea.

He turned to Samael, "Please, remove its teeth!"

"WHAT?!"

But though unsure of what the Seer was planning,

He did exactly just that.
