Selaphiel looks at Samael warily,
"I hope you're not as suspicious of me,"
"Oh, not that much though if I could ask,
Why is your coat covered in fresh blood?"
"Turned out, some demons were sent after to follow us,
But you needn't to worry, for they've already turned to dust,
Everything is fine and if you want I'd help with guarding,"
"I hope you don't feel offended, but inside, you won't be going.
Our dear humans are there,
And as much as we would have wanted,
You are still a demon,"
"Yet I'm a friend,"
"Claims are dangerous if not proven true,
I'm sure you understand of why we feel this way to you.
Never could we make another mistake of trusting the wrong person again,
As much as I hate it, demons rarely change."
Samael was at awe, hearing Selaphiel's words,
He clenched his fists and fought the want to curse.
"I saved a life, is that not enough proof?"
"Who knew if your intention of saving her is good?"
Barachiel and Jegudiel looked at each other knowingly,
And after a few talking, Jegudiel decided to walk towards their brother slowly.
He calmed Selaphiel down, who was still eager to argue with Samael,
"I am in no position higher than you, but even if he's not what he claims to be, his plan would still fail.
We outnumber him, Selaphiel,
You should have known that very well."
"I'm not talking about failing or winning,
I'm talking about the lives we'd be losing."
Jegudiel looks at Samael,
Who looked terribly wounded and in a mess,
Confused of his own feelings,
He decided to go silent instead.
His curse is truly his kindness.
And temperance was Selaphiel's.
.
.
.
"So...I travelled this long for no trust at all?"
"After all, aren't you Lucifer's brother?"
"What? We USED to be, but didn't I told you I went away from all of that?
Seriously, I'm getting mad."
"And you're free to do so,
I don't care the slighthest,
If ever you're not lying, we thank you with all our hearts,
But we just can't risk shedding another set of blood."
Samael peeks to the barrier,
As the angels responsible for forming it shiverred.
Samael looked very unpleasant,
He's a bloody mess, and he smells like a runt.
"Stacy!"
He yelled, shocking and waking the people up.
They panicked, seeing an unfamiliar creature watch.
Realizing it's a demon, they began to pray out loud,
Angering Selaphiel, for breaking the peace that must be pronounced.
"See just what you did! You destroyed the harmony!"
"What? I was just calling for Stacy,
She will prove I'm a good guy,"
"Well, it still won't change my decision,"
Suddenly, Michael appeared, as the others quickly bowed in submission.
"I've heard a loud roaring voice,
Didn't thought I'd see you with such poise,
However, I did not appreciate your loud call,
Waking up and scaring our people."
"Your brothers won't let me in,
Have you not noticed I need medicine?
Is this what your so called kindness is?
If so, this isn't even half as sweet,"
"Whatever Selaphiel may have said,
If ever harsh, could you humbly forgive?
But if he meant to say we can't let you in,
It's also my decision, we can't be fooled again."
Samael was losing it,
He thought this mission would be easy,
He saw Stacy looking at him with the most upset look,
As he sighed and wondered, just what could he do.
"Fine. I'll wait here then.
Surely you won't let me bleed to death,"
"Raphael will be here in a moment,"
Michael said calmly as the others looked at him with shocked faces.
"You're going to heal a demon?"
"Yes. Now please respect my decision.
Mending an enemy's wound may not sound logical at first,
But it's also a way, to end a war and dispute."
They quiet down and made way when Raphael walked from the crowd,
"Ah, what an...interesting creature you've found.
These wounds...are way too deep to survive the week,
Good thing you made it here."
He began healing the demon as Ken watched, clearly amazed.
"Healers are very important these days!"
Mar looked at him, and looked at Stacy in turn,
Stacy grins, (Oh poor little warrior.)
"Stacy! Ah, you're there! Go convince these angels of my help!"
"Ah, yes, very well. I am to inform you he saved me from hell!
He nursed me from the rain, built a house to shield me from the sun's rays,
Fed me, kept me warm at night,
And you dare suspect this man to have lied?"
Michael knew she trust Samael so much,
But they also don't know her enough.
"Respect our decision for now, it may change,"
"Change? No, it's final, Michael,"
Selaphiel said, determined,
As Michael looked at him in disbelief.
"Don't you believe that sinners could change hearts?"
"He's a demon, they don't have one."
"That's...utterly heartless of you to tell,"
"You should remind yourself of what they did!
They always don't mean well!
Michael! I know you love everything and want all to turn good,
But sometimes, some people aren't just capable like you.
Samael isn't as innocent or as kind,
He've killed a lot of people, angels and demons alike.
His methods, they're the opposite of our guide,
He taunts people to sin, he causes divide,"
"He did, I am wary of that,
But if God gives as many chance,
Who are we to reject him?
He've saved a life,"
"You don't know what it may mean."
The people watched as the two oldest archangels fight,
And by then Ken looked at Samael's eyes,
They remind him greatly of Satan's,
Charming, convincing, wise.
His odd staring quickly caught the attention of Stacy,
"Pardon, Ken, do you want to know something?"
He couldn't answer, since he was interrupted by Lluming,
Who had been watching Stacy's moves lately.
"I have if you don't mind,"
"Ah, sure," Stacy was caught by surprise,
"How much do you know,
About witchcraft and lies?"
"Excuse me?"
Stacy pretended not to hear,
As their voices were muffled by the arguing until-
Samael had enough and stopped Michael and Selaphiel himself.
"I get it! I'm not welcome!
I still have to prove myself."
Selaphiel frowns and looks at Michael with clear distaste,
"Uriel did not die for this."
Michael felt deeply hurt but did not spoke another word,
"Michael, can you at least...make his sacrifice worth.
Don't let all he had protected,
Crumble and fall,
Because I'm assuring you,
This is your worst mistake of all..."
Ken felt frozen hearing the argument,
As he saw a few glimpses of the future ahead,
Screams, agony, Selaphiel laughing, and the rain falling hard,
As he points his own sword, directly to his brother-in-arm.
He shook his head,
Selaphiel is too good to do such thing,
It may not be a vision,
But just a thought of him.
This angel was meant to maintain order and harmony,
Not cause the same thing he hated, how silly.
His paled face gained the attention of Lluming, himself.
"I know what those eyes meant.
You've seen something sinister, have you?
A new vision? What did you view?"
"I'm not sure...
How to put it to words."
"If you're not comfortable or feel doubtful, you could tell me when we're alone,
You don't have to fear a thing, just let me know,
Even if you think it's just silly thoughts,
It could still be something, worth taking notice of."
"I...okay, archangel Lluming,
I'll tell you everything."
Ken said as he looks at Selaphiel one last time,
He wouldn't just...change, right?
He had...always been...nice.
Lluming had qualms himself of how Michael and Selaphiel would further communicate,
Selaphiel was mostly correct, but not forgiving was also selfish.
Even so, at times of war, is such kindness really that needed?
Lluming couldn't help, but feel torn to two as well.
"What side do you choose, Ken?"
The boy looked at him, and thought hard as if it was a serious problem,
"I have no idea what to pick at this point,
After all, they both presented their points.
Forgiveness and second chances, we, humans were given that,
The time we were saved from the Demon's Wrath.
However, there's a fine line between kindness and ignorance,
Even if I do not personally know Samael,
I've heard of all he planned and had want.
Formerly, he used to be an angel, correct?
But like your brother Lucifer, he too, fell.
It's hard to trust someone who betrayed you once,
It's hard to give them, yet another chance.
Especially when it took this long,
For them to decide they'd have a change of heart."
Lluming smiled, impressed,
"You're smart but you haven't picked a side,
Although...I am confused too, myself,
In this world full of cheaters and liars,
Having someone trust you is easier than giving away trust.
I just hope from this decision, we won't end up surprised..."
.
.
.
Selaphiel walked to his own space and felt a fit of rage,
How can his logical reasonings, didn't win the debate?
Too much kindness will put humanity in danger,
Samael is not an ally, he should have been treated a stranger.
Deeply hurt of Michael's decision,
He decided to make his own version,
A plan that would expose if ever he's a spy,
A plan that would prove, all he says is a lie.
"I would never let them fool us this time..."
