(Ken's POV)
I was woken up by the sound of trumpets,
I opened my eye, and the moon was already replaced-
By the sun that shone ever brightly,
I honestly haven't fallen asleep this soundly.
I saw a set of clothes prepared at the end of my bed,
And a note, saying a ceremony will be held.
I wondered why, but I complied nonetheless,
What was waiting for me? Would there be a test?
The time I left, the makeshift room,
And the piece of cloth that enveloped it was removed,
I saw Mar waiting for me patiently,
"Ken, come here, with me,"
I walked towards the main room,
A wider space, inside the cavern,
The angels were there, and so were my people,
"The Seer, till now you didn't fall, you deserve to be our Brother,"
I noticed that most of the angels had cut their long hair,
Maybe it's part of this affair?
No matter the reason, the room was glowing,
As they prayed solemnly, of my well-being.
The mask I wore fitted perfectly,
And so was the uniform prepared decently,
Angel Gabriel once mentioned that navy blue was a great color,
It looks humble, but fierce and powerful no matter.
I felt proud of myself for the first time in a while,
Stopping the tears that had formed in my eye.
I was overwhelmed by great and positive emotions,
They believe in me, and praised my faith and dedication.
But I could have never done it alone,
I would have been dead if I was my own,
Without people and my heroes, and God, saving me all this time,
I would have died earlier on, it was the plot armor of life.
Faith.
"Ken, now, you have fully grown into your destiny,
Please use your blessings wisely,
You are now declared as one of the heroes of the future so dear,
Please continue to be, a responsible Seer,"
Michael touched my head and smiled ever proudly,
"Continue to improve, not just in physical only,
A man cannot thrive even if he has all the power in the world,
Without the gift in the afterlife, his existence does not hold,"
I understood and nodded my head,
As the people cheered and sing,
I smiled, though now I felt a bit of fear,
For I know, I cannot save everyone at the cost of nothing.
As the scene went on, I saw the angel they called Lluming,
Looking at me, as if worrying,
Once he was aware that I had returned his gaze,
He snatched my hand, and told me of a phrase,
"...just like your ancestor,"
I felt surprised and taken a back,
Was he recalling to the woman of red and white?
"You look just like him, when he was alive,
With that mask, making you seem like you have sharp eyes.
How funny you look more like him, than his own son,
How funny that the longer I look, the more serious you've become.
Please, continue to wear your faith and fight,
You are more than just what you think you might,"
"Who was my ancestor?" I asked curiously,
But suddenly, his eyes, looked kinda gloomy,
"He-" But before he could speak anything, Humility cutted us shortly,
"I remembered he's serious, until his wife changed him for me,"
"Can't you mention the name for me?"
"He's Red, one of my friends, I loved dearly.
But it just so happens that this timeline still made his story have a bittersweet ending,
I count on you, to make his legacy, much satisfying..
It just feels...so cruel that no matter how it plays,
It'd always be on him, not having it his way,
He ran out of luck I guess,
But at least he had two sons, to save their race,"
"I...see, I really haven't dreamt of him yet,"
"Hm, perhaps you'd soon though, but it's alright if you haven't met,
The only thing you have to remember is that he and her union changed the world,
It bore two sons, one of light, one of darkness,
All of potential untold."
"Had the other son been redeemed?"
"He was, but it's not as easy as it seemed,
That scarred them both permanently,
The next scenes, broke me.
I can't tell you the other,
It's too painful everytime I try to remember,
Just do what you can to save what's remaining,
Continue the story, and gave it your own happy ending."
I nodded my head,
but the feeling of tragedy never did,
This story I live in wasn't a simple one tracked story,
It's too wide, with different possibilities.
Say that we win, but at what cost?
It's too happy, if we end up with no lost,
I pursed my lips, as I drown in the thoughts,
Guess this ceremony, didn't changed a lot.
I still have to figure out how to look intimidating,
How to look like a hero, how to be much capable of fighting.
Lluming perhaps read my expression,
"If you're seeking for a brutal training partner, I can be, with no question,"
I looked at him, but Michael seemed worried,
"But you fight too roughly," "He won't improve much if he continue like this,"
Michael quiets down, and admits his defeat,
"Alright I allow you, but don't always do as you please."
Lluming nodded and smiles at me,
"I know a bit of the demons, so you'll be fine with me,
Their movements are not as easy to predict,
But I can show you a few tricks."
Lluming opened his wings, the color of the sky,
Although the more I look, the more it looked damaged, and somehow too dry,
He must have fought a lot or was reckless,
But it didn't matter, I think he's still one of the strongest.
"Ken, do your best," I heard Mar call from behind,
I turned around and smiled, "I'll show my mind and heart combined,"
I repositioned the eye mask slightly,
Just to be sure it won't fall out easily.
The string was just right,
Not too loose and not too tight.
Lluming smiles at me with a hint of tease,
His blue eyes looked prideful and fierce,
"Try me as many time as you wish
But without stratedy and bold moves, your attacks will miss,"
I took his words to the heart,
But even if I use my visions, he's way too fast,
He's scary, his wings and speed made him look like a ray of light so tall,
Seems like Sir Michael was going easy on me after all.
To be more precise, he seemed like a blurry image,
I couldn't follow him, and who could manage?
If only I have a weapon, something that could hinder his movement,
But I don't have one as well, well...not for the moment.
I tried to focus, to see more of the outcomes,
And after a while, I memorise some of his moves,
It was hard still, to capture him with my bare hands,
As I always get pinned or punched.
I can see that the people were quite glued to the training,
And I was determined of winning,
I tried to make my hands glow, so to see his image easily,
I kept memorising the near outcomes, till the favor was bent.
I dodge one after another,
And after time, he seemed slower and slower,
I was getting used to his fast and fluid movements,
Although the gap of skill was still apparent.
In the end, I could only dodge, and not attack,
He's too fast for my so called attacks,
He either blocked, or was quick to react,
Nonetheless, he looked surprised by my acts.
I kept on practicing, only stopping when it's time to eat, bath, and rest,
I could hear whispers about mixed opinions,
But to me, it all didn't matter.
What matters is how I believe in my own growth,
That I would do this, not for recognition,
But to save those who need my protection.
...
(Lluming's POV)
Perhaps I've underestimated his will,
Despite some of my hits, he's humble and standing as steel,
Well, I guess Michael taught him how to be strong inside,
While I...would teach him, how not to die.
It's quite surprising how he's dodging my attacks now,
Although sometimes he'd look tired and down,
I'm giving my 50%, but even for a human that's deadly,
He's improving, though slow, he's steady.
Ah, he's using his powers not just for attacks,
But to keep me away from him, that's kind of smart,
I'm sure he'd manage to kill low levelled to some medium levelled demons,
Crazy how one man can save millions.
I hope he succeeds, I genuinely do,
I hope I get stronger, and more down to earth too,
Despite being a human, who've lost all he have,
Look how easily, he do what he's asked.
I feel enlightened on what I lack,
I was too focused on taking back,
I need to remember to have my heart,
Don't let my hatred tore me apart.
Maybe, it's not just him who needs training,
I need to develop, how to be a kinder Lluming,
I need to be stronger inside, perhaps,
I need to remember I have people,
worth saving.
...
Despite it all, Callista was watching, stopping her tears from its fall,
She genuinely hope they all succeed,
So there's no more evil, in this world to breed.
But Lucifer's allies weren't merely sleeping,
They too, have been busily fortifying,
And it just comes down on who's more ready,
Before the great bloody war, turn into a reality.
Have you picked your side already?
