Chapter 82 - Chapter 82: FAREWELL, HOPE

Lluming felt a bit nostalgic when he saw his short blond hair at the mirror,

He...thought of old memories, it seems like his mourning was far from over.

It gave him an overwhelming feeling, as he felt a bit hopeless of his case,

His expression seemed unreadable, even Asmodeus felt amazed.

"Do you like it or not?" The demon asked impatiently,

"I like it of course,"

"Ah, good for you. Now move aside, it's my turn now, Mr. Grumpy,"

Sellena smiles and began styling the demon's hair,

Although to be frank, it's already good as it is,

She pretended to cut his copper locks,

And said she was finished then patted his back.

Unsatisfied, Asmodeus requests a kiss,

But Stella quickly refused his wish,

Bashful, Asmodeus pulled her for a hug,

Still jealous for the attention Lluming once had.

"Don't be too clingy, it's getting too much,"

Sellena said as she tries to be removed from his touch,

It's getting harder to resist him every day,

And Sellena fears that if she won't deny his actions, she might one day, want to stay.

...

Stacy woke up feeling a painful sensation,

She opened her eyes, and felt a great frustration,

The moment she found out that she's back behind bars,

While escape and freedom, seems very afar.

She immediately cried the moment she recalled,

How her dear brother, got impaled as he fall,

His blue eyes, looking at her warmly,

Before he bids farewell, and passed away swiftly.

It felt surreal that he died so suddenly,

Without warning, without signs, such an unspeakable tragedy,

She hollered in agony, as she still couldn't believe,

That her most beloved person, now chose to leave.

Fellow prisoners looked at her with pity,

While some are simply pissed, "Quit being whiny,"

She did not listen, she couldn't help it,

Feeling depressed, with this tightening in her chest.

Once so small, so cheerful and still protective,

Robert was a sefless person, that only wants to give,

It was so hard not to love him, not to care for her little brother,

It felt too much to handle, that they're no longer together.

Ever since they find out that the world is ruined,

That their parents were dead,

Though they could hardly believe it,

Robert was the first to give her optimism and reason,

And now with him gone, she can't help but open doors for depression.

How could she continue living in this world?

With no hope left, with no more hand to hold,

She continued to mourn, praying she dies next,

As she was alone anyways, perhaps dying would be best.

A woman next to her however, awfully said,

"God had forsaken us! Soon, we'll all be dead!

He gave us all to Satan! To hell! To chaos!

Serving Him now, seems nothing but worthless!"

True that she wanted to die, but still it's too much,

God had given her things, that she had asked not,

It seems unfair, to betray God now,

So she stood up, amongst the crowd.

"We have lost everything, but aren't we born with nothing at all?

Every thing we have, it was all from God,

So why would we complain? Why would be mad?"

"Are you crazy? We're going to die sooner or later,

We're going to suffer in hell, and you? Didn't you lost your little brother?

We have the rights to be angry at Him,

We didn't asked to be born, and to suffer like this,

We don't deserve to be played like pawns,

To serve the King, then a blink be gone,

We deserve comfort, we deserve peace,

We deserve love, or convenience at least.

Not this...this stinky small space,

Where we beg for little food,

As we wait for our final days,"

Stacy felt something lit inside her,

Her anger was set ablaze, as her faith became stronger,

She no longer want to die, but to prove to them that God was not evil,

He loves everyone, although some hate Him still.

"He loved all of you, you must have forgotten that the reason you're alive is because of Him,

And yet when you feel umcomfortable and hurt, look how easily you betray Him,

Maybe there's a reason why we're stuck here,

So we could contemplate all our sins,

Before hell's too near.

Yes, I lost my brother, but this isn't the first time I lost someone,

Yes, I am sad, but then I remembered where he's from,

He's finally rested now, and soon would wake up to a better place,

So I ask...would dying while trusting God still, be a waste?"

The crowd was shunned silent, as their faces says it all,

Some agree with her, while some to their beliefs stand tall.

"God and Satan, good and evil, who cares?

God wrote everything according to His plans,

We're all but instruments, all set to place,

There's no resisting, we may try, but we can't.

However He wants us to end, is how we end,

However He wants us to start, we start,

He is like Satan, He isn't our friend,

He manipulates all, and He also break hearts.

He may act like He loves you, but He had turned against all of us,

We were nothing but hungry, starving rats,

He doesn't love us, look how we suffer,

Why should we waste our time? Listening to her?

Since the day that virus plagued this world,

The Government fell apart, and we were on our own,

What's so different about this? About the angels forsaking us completely?

Perhaps we were just made for His entertainment, solely.

Perhaps He's like the demons that finds pleasure in our pain,

As we cry, beg for mercy, as we slowly go insane,

I, as a believer, have always served this God you spoke of,

But He never gave me anything, not worth mentioning at all,"

The old man said bitterly, as Stacy calmed her thoughts,

Surely this man, have lost his hope a lot,

She pitied his reasoning, but he pities the children more,

Listening to their debate, not knowing what it's for.

"Please, trust God. We are alive because of His grace,"

"Well, if He cares about me, then I want to leave this place,

He can do anything right? Then I wish everything be back to normal,

If not, then I am right, we would be dead during this war,"

"Please remember, even Jesus died though he did not sinned,

So why are we complaining? How selfish have we been?

Please put your anger aside, and simply pray,

God had always been listening, all we need is to humbly obey,"

"I'm sick of obeying, and getting nothing in return,

I watched my family die, as my daughter got infected, so I have no choice but to let her burn,

All my life, I've never tasted any sweet comfort,

So can you blame me when I feel that faith has no worth?"

...

(Ken's POV)

I couldn't keep sleeping, when I feel my stomach moving,

So I opened my eye, and was greeted by a bitter

morning,

The jar where my left eye was put, was just there in front,

Reminding me of the nightmare, I'll forever have.

I could only watch the dust floating in the air,

As I look at the blisters, in my feet so bare,

I could hardly move because of the chains,

And the fatigue slowly killing me,

Engulfing my senses like flames.

It took half an hour, (I think) before I hear someone turn the knob,

I could hardly anticipate, as my heart began to throb.

A woman, with raven hair, and eyes like that of a cat,

Walked up to me, as she took down her patched hat.

She have a tall nose, and a creepy smile,

That made me instantly uncomfortable, although it's only been a while,

In her free hand, was a tray of food, that I guess was for me,

As she walked forward, setting me free.

"Eat up for now, lil' guy, and I'll make sure you won't do any funny business,"

She said, as she watch me eat and drink,

I swore it was so uncomfortable, so weird to think of,

As for the entirety, she didn't even blinked.

"Poor you, Azazel just loves to rip off people's eyes, ya know?

He keeps them as collectibles, he even filled a floor,

Don't worry, I'd make you an eye patch,

Since...uh, your current look, well, they don't really match.

You look...quite, um...abnormal? Well I mean you look like a half-finished art,

I hope you don't hate me, please don't take my words too hard,

I'll sew you up something, so just eat to the content of your heart,"

I only nodded as she began to work,

While I keep on eating, till I dropped my fork,

She laughed at me, then gave it back,

"You need to relax, I won't bite or attack,"

I smiled awkwardly, as I keep on chewing,

While she looks at me from time to time,

Her smile so petrifying,

After a few minutes, I was surprised she was done,

"Now, wear this, and show it to me, hon,"

I was lucky enough to finish my plate that point on,

So I quickly accepted what she wanted me to try on,

It was an eye patch, dark brown in color,

Fits perfectly, though the texture in my skin felt different,

"What's it for?"

Azazel crept to us, without us even noticing,

Asking the question, as the woman kept smiling,

"You know, I was bored, and I wanted to keep him as pet, can I?"

Looking at her briefly, Azazel's face grew tender, and couldn't further deny.

"Fine. You can keep him, but be cafeful, alright?

That kid have powers, and has the blessings of light,"

"You're talking to me as if I'm not a powerful witch,

I can kill him whenever, wherever I would please,"

"Alright, if you so insist,

I'm just here to grab my jar,

Say goodbye to me at least,"

"Good bye mister grumpy face,"

The woman flirtingly said,

As Azazel hid his face.

I could tell that the two were somewhat close,

I could use this information as an advantage,

sometime I suppose.

But for now, I need to be composed,

So I could think of a plan,

Although the danger's close.

"What are you thinking of, sweetie?"

The witch asked me suddenly,

I only smiled as I pray she trust me quickly,

I must get out of here, to aid those...who really need me.

Though it becomes a mystery why my visions had subsided,

Perhaps this patch, have some sort of magic,

But I couldn't deny, how peaceful this piece of clothing felt,

No more headaches, no more dizziness I get.

But what didn't leave me, was this emptiness in my chest,

Longing for freedom, for a fellow human's soft caress.

How could I get out of here?

That is a question,

In which I plea the answer draws near,

For to live with such monsters,

I could hardly ever bear.
