There was a certain chill, lingering in the air,
That screams there's danger that they should be ware,
It felt too risky, to search the sound individually,
So most of the angels, band in a group of three.
Gabriel didn't leave the humans and simply waited,
Hoping that it was just a sick wolf, that should simply be evacuated.
While Ken, having been familiar with the monster's growl,
Simply question how it got there,
Until he remembered the demons, that it became clear.
He sighed deeply, as he tried to calm the panicking people,
Who were all but tired and fed up, to yet again suffer.
Childrens were wailing, as adults were praying,
All hoping that the monster,
Would not come in, they all solemnly muster.
Azazel mixed himself with the wind, as he happily watched the scene take place,
He felt amused, watching the haggard angels, follow the monster's trace.
And while the rain became louder, the monster's grunts were muffled,
Now the angels were unsure, who is hunting one another.
Uriel quickly searched Azazel's shelter,
But found nothing, that would tell of his untimely departure,
The angel sighed, and went back to Michael to deliver the news,
Now it's clear, that the demon had never changed its values.
They quickly informed the angels to fall back and form a barrier,
As they investigate the nature of the blood-hungry monster,
The angels left searching, quickly followed the instructions,
All the while saving them, from the becoming destruction.
Humans who chose to house on Mahazel's constructions ran in panic,
As Michael guided them back, although even him felt frantic,
The monster felt overwhelmed, by the noise and of how many his target could be,
That he ended up eating nothing, as he chose to shield itself from the rain, under a sturdy tree.
The moment all the angels were inside the barrier,
Was the moment they heard, the monster's screech got louder,
It was hungry, and furious, as its form turned more hideous,
With its three pair of legs, it decided to dig the earth.
It was smart enough to know, that the barrier can't be simly broken,
So another route, it cleverly taken,
And since it was dark, and its figure could hardly be seen,
Its plan to enter using a tunnel, it freely executed with glee.
Its eyes were hollow, and its mouth opened wide,
As he let his sharpened nails, and floating flame be his guide,
He quickly dug the soil, thanks to Mahazael's control over it,
Thankfully because of the said advantages,
It was near to finally eat.
...
Michael was left unjust,
As the others were too, as the wind blew powerful gusts,
The heavens began to send thunder, and Michael knew it was trouble,
So he assigned the angels to check every side,
Make the effort, ten times double.
It was a very heart stopping moment,
And every second, felt like torment,
Humans sticked together, visibly shaking,
Of what more they'd endure, what more be coming.
Ken looked at them, and looked at his own,
Once he was frightened, and now he knew he's not alone,
He tried to shake the feeling, of fear and doubt,
As he stood, as if protecting them, in case the scene goes south.
Suddenly the angels heard a loud scream on the first floor,
And Jegudiel, quickly volunteered to check the door,
Soon enough, an orange light came reflecting on the walls,
It was Nathaniel's flames, almost standing tall.
Jegudiel's eyes widened in disbelief,
As the monster, once their friend, now screamed for meat,
He felt quite unsure, how to react at first,
Knowing it was Nathaniel, his tears almost burst.
Raphael did not let Jegudiel's kindness get in the way,
So he tried to restrain the monster, as it yelled in pain,
Azazel was not happy, so he sent more gust of wind,
Shaking the angel's chains, as the dillema then begin.
The monster broke free, and chose to run outside,
Shocking the angels, with the unwelcomed sight,
They tried to drive him off, but it was fast alright,
Climbing to the floor, where humans are might.
It managed to open the window,
As humans shouted, they were in big trouble,
It tried to reach a little girl, who thankfully got away,
As Gabriel pushed the monster out,
"In hell, is where you should play,"
The angels quickly tried to restrain him, and they succeeded doing so,
Pulling the monster down, as it dropped, the wind continued to blow,
Soon enough, it stopped moving, as its bones were seemingly crushed,
But they didn't know, that this wouldn't be their last.
As the wind blew,
Azazel had let some of his pets flew,
It went into the little girl's skin unknowingly,
As it bit her, as it always do.
Soon enough, the little girl cried,
Saying she felt hurt, and surely she hasn't lied,
Her arms were bleeding, and now the angels told she be confined,
But the mother insisted,
But she was ignored no matter hard she try.
The little girl has been confirmed to be zombified,
Although the effect, had not yet reached the mind,
Selaphiel insisted, she be killed while still weak,
To save her from further suffering,
While the infection was still not at its peak.
The mother quickly yelled in refusal,
As the crowd were left in either agreement and denial,
"She is still human, are you seriously angels from God?
Would you be willing to kill a child?"
"We would, and you are free to be mad,"
Gabriel spatted out, as he felt angry they dare question them,
"We are doing these for you, so your race won't come to end,
But rather than gratitude and thanks, you dare question our authenticity,
You claim to love God, yet you lack gratefulness and integrity,
Good isn't black and white, you should be aware of that,
Killing one child to protect many, is our rightful act,
Now if you still want to play morals with us,
Don't dare expect to ask for our help, when the monster is free at last,"
Gabriel finished, and the room felt silent,
The mother continued to cry, "Are angels really this violent?"
"We are angels, we love and protect,
But as protectors, we must filter and select,
Those who will harm the others, must be killed,
In order from harm and chaos, the survivors be shield,
So if you still have questions, just save it for tomorrow,
Let the little girl rest, let her be saved from this madness and sorrow,"
"You cannot do this!
I beg of you, please!"
The mother kept begging,
As she kneeled on her knees.
Jegudiel closed his eyes,
Not wanting to be tempted,
As other people felt horrified,
What if the virus in them,
manifested?
Michael ordered the windows be locked,
Which the angels took seriously, as they were quick to act.
Yet behind the busy angels, some humans can't stop but mock,
Especially the mother, who dearly wants her precious child back.
Jacob could not help but feel irritated by her constant crying,
That he called her out, saying she was being annoying,
Others hushed Jacob, as it was just a normal way of coping,
After all, in a matter of minutes, her child would be dying.
Jacob quiets down as Ken watches the crowd,
He sighed as he can't hear a word, from their opinions shared so loud,
Some were saying its for the best,
That it was simply all a test,
While some are angry that the child would be killed,
Although she was still aware, has a mind and could feel.
Just as the crowd were arguing,
the mother jumped off the building,
Not wanting to witness nor hear her daughter scream.
Everyone felt shocked, and the angels were as well,
She loved her daughter so much, yet sadly she'd go to hell.
Michael quickly ordered her body be buried,
As the lower ranked angels, her body they carefully carry,
The head angel sighed, his face tainted in worry,
Were they doing the right thing?
He whispered in a soft tone, a gentle, "Sorry,"
Uriel comforted him once more,
As Michael contemplates his decisions to the core,
They then enter the confinement room where the little girl was at,
She was crying, and clearly not ready to die, her eyes were shut.
Michael drew a sword, as he looks at her one last time,
Comforting the child, as he said things would be all fine,
The little girl eventually stopped, as she slowly accept her fate,
Slowly removing her doubts, fears, and hate.
"After all this chaos, you'd wake up in a happy place,
Where you can play, sing, and rest all day,
You would have many friends, and will always be surrounded by angels,
You won't have to suffer any longer, and all would be well,"
Michael said, as he too, became teary,
As the child laid down, already feeling weary,
The archangels looked behind him, as they too were all sorry,
That the little girl be sacrificed, yet she accepted it finally.
Michael gave her a quick death,
As she dropped to the floor, quickly dead,
Blood spilling everywhere,
And yet they knew she was no longer there.
She was finally at peace,
No conflict and pain at least,
And yet the blood that covered Michael's face,
Angered some humans, who disliked his ways.
Ken could only watch,
As he witness some humans wrath,
He tried to persuade them, but they were hard,
Saying that angels and demons are the same,
Both kill, both command.
It's just that demons are much more honest on what they do,
As Angels hide their filth, in what they call the only truth,
This angered Ken so much, as they kept on saying such,
Some humans just don't know what's enough,
So he still tried to make them stop.
Soon enough, a fight inside the building arise,
As humans took their respective sides,
This naivity, gave the angels quite a headache,
As they try to stop the group from falling apart,
Yet their intervention, proved to be late.
