I couldn't breathe that much,
When I awoke from Mar's touch,
She looked at me deep in concern,
As I continued to catch my breath,
As my heart continued to burn.
The lady in white, red hair glowing in the darkness,
I felt stiff seeing such battle take place,
Their faces fierce, yet enveloped with some kind of sadness,
What kind of thing, was that vivid madness?
I looked around me, trying to remember the whole scene,
But they felt blurry, like a disturbed stream,
So I slowly stood, as Robert, Isabelle and Stacy looked at me with anticipation,
"What are you to say? Is there a bad situation?"
Isabelle asked with a worried expression,
Eyes still focused on my half-awake condition,
I stretched my arms and tried to feel more awake,
But as I looked on the ground, I saw a dark black snake.
"Isabelle! A snake!" I yelled panicking,
Eleazar quickly killed it, with no words left to say,
We all sighed in relief, thank goodness no one's dying,
But why doea Eleazar not looked concerned, like he doesn't even care.
...
(Author's POV)
[Earlier Scene]
The time Eleazar left, he felt multiple shadows following him,
Swift movements come and go, like decisions changed in a whim,
He tried to focus, to locate them all,
But such task felt impossible with such walls,
Like illussions disappear and appear,
Soon Eleazar knew he won't win.
Lucifer himself appeared before his very eyes,
Dark black hair and eyes screaming demise,
He smiled, exposing his thirsty grin,
"Oh, Eleazar I missed you, where have you been?"
Eleazar froze in fear knowing such doom is very near,
He tried to call for help, but his message was caught in between,
The demons circled him like hungry vultures,
As he felt his body hardened, turning into a stone sculpture.
Before he lost conciosness, he begged Lucifer to let his humans be,
But the demon laughed, taunting him of his misery,
"Stop acting like you care, and love them all like God does,
After all in mere moments, you'll break and fall,
like an empty glass,"
When the spell reached Eleazar's head a single tear fell from his eyes,
He tried to fight back but Lucifer was too strong,
So he closed his eyes, and whispered, "So long..."
Lucifer looked at Eleazar for a moment,
Before laughing again, "Such a blast for an entertainment,"
He kicked the sculpture, and it fell cracking to pieces,
"God is a fraud, if not, why did he not save you? And his humans and this world, from wars and countless diseases?"
The demons with him nodded and continued with their mission,
Lucifer however, saw a group of humans in one direction,
Hoping to trick and torment them too, he thought of taking Eleazar's position,
But with his lack of emphaty, Ken now continue to have suspicion.
He brings food abundantly, unlike before,
With clothes clean and well, and games for when they are bored,
The wellness they're feeling felt uneasy,
And even Robert hesistates to eat as many.
The look on Eleazar's face was not of worry,
But of something that felt terribly eerie,
Ken and others couldn't communicate without being heard,
So how can they escape? When they're guarded like a herd.
Everytime he'd leave for food, he'd leave birds looking at them from above,
It felt weird, as they were always in a flock,
And it seemed unsettling, as they were always looking back.
Night fell and none could barely sleep,
A frightening feeling, in their chest was sliced deep,
As if something evil will appear any second,
Like a monster in disguise will soon be beckoned.
