"My name is Henry, Henry Bardin von Scarlett. What's your name?" he asked with a gentle tone. His subordinates raises their brows and are speechless by his gentle approach.
"My name?" Her stuttering disappeared as she felt that Henry wouldn't hurt her.
Henry nodded. She pondered for awhile before answering, "I think my name is Irene."
"Irene," Henry looked at her and met her eyes, "A beautiful name for a beautiful lady."
SWOOSH, a gust of wind danced the trees. They looked at the swirling wind that formed a small tornado. Before Irene could ask what that is, a figure immersed as the tornado disappeared.
"My Lord, those unworthy-to-mention are foreign visitors. The one you killed first, is a Viscount and envoy to the Kingdom of Ares"
Henry looked at the dead bodies within his sight and pondered. He stayed silent until Irene broke the silence, "Ares is my distant uncle and he hates mortals, so why does he have a kingdom?"
All of Henry's subordinates, including the ones who are hiding behind his shadow, were confused. Henry also was confused until he remembered his mission.
"As far as I know, Ares is the name of their founding father. Golden and fiery orange are common hair colors within that kingdom," Henry began to remember his past studies.
"Oh," Irene suddenly spoke. "I didn't know mortals would name themselves after Gods."
Henry blinked his eyes and finally came to a conclusion. 'I didn't expect the Holy Empire's so-called Goddess to be as insane as them.'
Reyna looked at Irene for awhile and admired her otherworldly beauty. A single action from her contains elegance and an indescribable aura that makes her beautiful in any view.
"Wait," he broke the silence, "Golden hair, golden eyes, porcelain white skin, a white glow. It all fits the description!"
Henry looks at Reyna's younger brother, Richard. Then he looks at Irene who flinched from the eye contact.
He repeated that gesture as if he is a child looking back and forth, from his mother to his father, to which parent should he choose to live after they seperated.
"My Lord, please stop. You are getting annoying and making me dizzy!" Reyna complained.
"I know because I wanted to annoy you for a little bit," Henry shrugged with a small smirk.
— HOLY EMPIRE
"Your Holiness, we've received a letter from the Scarlett Empire. They have found the Celestial Saint."
The Pope who was kneeling on a small white pillow and praying to his God; opened his eyes slowly, revealing his golden eyes.
He looked at the priest who wore a similar white robe with yellow adornments and a cross pattern. A peek of the marble floor pillars of the altar is seen even if he focused onto the priest.
"Oh holy spirit, our almighty father..." the Pope began to recite a prayer.
"Amen."
— BACK AT THE INN
Veins began to appear on Reyna's forehead and looked at Henry with an angry expression. In Henry's eyes or most of them, she emits an eerie black mist that clearly says that she'll murder her master even if he was the crown prince.
"Sis, don't be too dramatic." Richard closed his eyes and had a weird smile on his face, "If not, you know what happens next."
