Beyond the mist that covers a sacred mount, within the lush forests; a grand palace embellished with gold and blessed materials. It has sandstone pillars with ionic capitals and a painted ceiling.
The interior mainly consists of golden furniture, marble floors, and sturdy walls. At the core, we find a large empty throne waiting for its owner and a... I guess the servants moved the golden table.
"Τηισ γρανδ παλαψε, Ι φεελ τηε σπιριτσ ανδ τηειρ σπιριτθαλ μαγιψ. Τρθλυ βευονδ τηε ψομπρεηενσιον οφ μορταλ δεσψενδαντσ." A youthful man with incredible beauty defeated by the immortals around him. His sharp-pointed ears are his remarkable feature together with the purple sash on his white chiton.
"Greetings young one, I believe you're in the wrong place. Shall I grant one of my servants the honor to escort an elf?" He grinned while admiring the young elf's calm trait.
Taking his position into consideration, Thales bowed his head. He then took a deep breath and cautiously met this rude man's eyes since he's the infamous God of Chaos, Pyrros.
Someone greatly capable of destruction, one of many gods involved in the war between elves and demigods and founder of cataclysm. However, his undeniable prowess is easily pressured by his brother.
*Cough
A fake cough ceased the tense atmosphere. Everyone looked where they heard it from and saw Michael's figure then immediately bowed their heads. His aureole illuminated his face and gave a shine to the golden ornament on his ear.
Wearing a simple-looking white himation made of smooth glistening silk. Gold cuff bracelets embellished with jewels on his wrists. And the brown leather sandals are worn on his feet.
After his entourage follows Irene who wears a greyish peplos with a brown belt made of cotton fastening it. She doesn't bother to display a smile which is understandable since the people here are in no mood for fashion.
*Creak. As the doors of the inner palace closed, the children couldn't suppress the urge for gossiping. They discussed how Irene is still able to maintain composure when she has fallen from a height.
The adults saw their immatureness but were too lazy to give them a lecture. Actions like these are their only form of entertainment as of now, to add more details, they would love to hear ill rumors revolving around the ruling branch.
In a short while, the doors opened again and the sound of trumpets halt the discussion of the immortals. Signaling to enter the palace.
The moment they stepped inside, they were in awe and their eyes blankly admires everything, I mean EVERYTHING. Black vinous wrought-iron lanterns on the walls, fresh amaryllises, and century plants potted in white pots with ornate carvings.
If one can't give their best to writing, they could give their all to research, an old man once said.
Aside from those, there is an open second floor with a short balustrade to make it look like a balcony. Irene and Michael are on each opposite side, sitting on their seats.
On the other hand, the gods from older generations had no changes of expression. The palace looks slightly different when it was the abode of the former supreme monarch but not much changed either.
Every creature is unique, two people are different, their tastes in things are also different. Completely justifiable.
"Council representatives stand front, fellow immortals stand middle, young ones stand last. The court meeting has begun."
Oliver's voice echoed with his pronunciation sounded crystal clear. Each person went to their positions and quietly waited for him to present the topic.
"Extend your hands," Oliver mumbled a spell then floating pieces of papyrus paper flew from his empty palms to the attendees.
A few reached out their hands while others looked at the contents. Ancient language, most have thought. They mistakenly took it as a test whether they did their homework or not.
Michael kept his calm expression midst of reading without difficulty and as soon as he finished, he asked Peter for a refreshment. Then he prepared himself for the next action.
A day or two passed in the mortal realm, the young gods eventually finished reading the document. They recognize some words but ultimately they understood nothing at all.
Helios expected this outcome so Oliver will read the document for the ignorant kids. He took a deep breath before reciting the entire thing:
"I deeply apologize for the unexpected summons. The presence of a foreign guest should suffice as compensation or you can request more nectar and ambrosia in the next supper."
Everyone looked at the sitting hooded man besides Michael. He exudes a mysterious and dangerous presence while waving his hand playfully.
"Irene, the Celestial Saint, had violated the law enforced by the former monarch. She is believed to have colluded with the enemies in the witness of Peter and Mikhael, God of Archangels."
"I permit free speech. No entity shall influence the court and the attendees and personal matters must not get involved. Proceed."
"..."
"The Celestial Saint must have been framed, no she became the scapegoat!"
Almost every inferior god agreed with the statement. Their reason isn't vastly affected by their affection towards Irene but they couldn't believe an accusation like that. She had won a chess match, went to a library then took a walk in the park.
And surely there won't be stupid people blinded by envy to believe it. She was so focused on her chess match that she had no water break or went to pick flowers, how could she betray the enforcers of justice?
Well, there are fools blinded with emotion even though Oliver stated that anything personal is prohibited. Those young goddesses whose lovers abandoned them for their Celestial Saint and those gods who detested naive individuals.
Other than these two categories that got segregated all the immortals. There is the last category, those who just want chaos and entertainment. Sly gods whose words can change the direction of the discussion, mentioning the cunning Pyrros.
"Silence!" Helios yelled as he sent chills to everyone's spine.
In response, drops of cold sweat formed on their foreheads and gulped. Finally calmed down they immediately lowered their heads.
The Heavenly Emperor turned his gaze to Michael who he saw enjoyably drinking the refreshment Peter provided. Jasmine tea at its finest and a teapot for another serving.
Feeling someone's gaze, Michael sneaked a glance and met Helios' eyes. He understood his gaze then sighed before placing his cup on a coaster.
Then he stood up and said the following; "Είμαι ειλικρινά απογοητευμένος με εκείνους της ίδιας ηλικίας με μένα που ενεργούν ανώριμα μπροστά στον Ουράνιο Μονάρχη. Ωστόσο, είδα την αδελφή μου με τον ίδιο τον προδότη."

[A/N: Thales meant, "This grand palace, I feel the spirits and their spiritual magic. Truly beyond the comprehension of mortal descendants."]
