Synopsis
Five minutes passed before the light died down. Alice took a couple of deep breaths before slowly walking over to the wall and sliding down to sit down on the floor. Her head was pounding. Her vision was spinning. She felt nauseated and like she was spun around too many times. "Are you ok Galdur?" She turned her head towards him as he nodded his head. Her vision slowly cleared up and he looked like he was in the same condition. Something also felt off about her. It felt like something was flowing through her veins. Looking down at her necklace, she noticed that it had changed. It was now a silver upside-down crescent moon. The same starburst hung connected in the middle of the moon but instead of an aquamarine, there was a moonstone. "What did I just do?"

Chapter 1 - Chapter 1

Alice stared at the blackboard, thoughts flowing through her head. She just wished that the day would end so she could go back to her dorm. "Alice," a voice called out to her. "Alice!" This time Alice snapped out of her thoughts.

"Y-yes Mr. Kim?" She mentally cursed herself for stuttering.

"Do you know the answer to number 18?"

"Yes. It is x=108."

"Correct." Mr. Kim turned back to the blackboard as Alice sighed. "Thank you Gods!"

The bell finally rang and Alice practically ran out of the classroom going towards her dorm room. The halls were filled with her peers. "Finally, I can try this spell out. Maybe I can change myself for the better," she thought. A smile started to form on her face as she gripped the necklace that hung around her neck. The necklace was a simple silver chain with a gold starburst with an aquamarine in the center. A gift from her mother before she left.

Arriving at her room, she locked the door behind her. A bookshelf stood against the forest green paint. A black leather bound book sat on the shelf, magic emitting off of the hidden golden writing. Alice strolled over to the book before grabbing it. She turned to the page she had bookmarked for this special spell. A spell that would grant her magic. The smile on her pale face grew even more.

Opening the book, she read the name of the spell aloud. "Ceremony of Elemental Fury." Below the title was wrote, "WARNING! DO NOT USE THIS SPELL WITH ANYONE ELSE IN THE ROOM. SEE RULES BELOW!" "Why would there be a warning with this spell?" she asked herself. Looking below to the rules it read, "Rules: This spell is supposed to be used on one person and one person alone. If anyone else is in the room, they will feel the effects of the spell when recited correctly." "Time to start this!"

Spell: Witches of the day and night, I call upon thee

Make me different to not be like the normal person

Have the magic flow through my veins

Let the Sun keep me in balance

Let the Moon let my powers flow

With this being said, this is all I ask of thee

"Seems easy enough." Right as she said that, a knock on the door stopped her. "Y-yes? Who is it?"

"Galdur. We are in math together." "Shit!" Alice cursed under her breath. She let go of her necklace and slowly walked over to the door. Unlocking the door, she stood in the doorway.

"Do you need something?"

"Yeah. I was wondering if I could come in." Alice nodded her head and stepped out of the way. Galdur walked into the room before looking around, taking in the entire room. A smile grew on his face as he glanced at the open book. "Did I interrupt something?" The girl shook her head no.

"No, no. Just practicing something."

"Oh. Do you mind if I watch?" Alice thought for a moment before remembering the warning and rules of the spell. "It should be fine," she thought. She shook her head no once again before turning back to the spell. Gripping her necklace once again, she frowned.

"Do I have your permission for you to stay in the room?" Galdur tilted his head before opening his mouth to ask something. "What I mean is," she paused before continuing, "can I practice the spell with you in the room? Do you understand that if something happens, it will happen to both of us?"

The boy said nothing. A few minutes passed before he said anything. "Yes. I understand."

Alice took a deep breath before going back to her necklace. She gripped it once again and started to speak. "Witches of the day and night, I call upon thee. Make me different to not be like the normal person. Have the magic flow through my veins. Let the Sun keep me in balance. Let the Moon let my powers flow. With this being said, this is all I ask of thee." With those words being spoken aloud, the amulet of her necklace started to glow. The light started to shine so brightly the two had to shield their eyes.
