'I never knew I'd lose her.
She was the sweetest thing,'
Finn said somberly, his eyes still looking at his hands. While tears continued to fall from his blank looking eyes. He seems just as lifeless as her.
Gabby kept whimpering, while Jerico was the one comforting them both. With Tiwari now gone, Gabby felt like her world slowly drifts away from the mortal realm.
She was only one of a few keeping her sane. But just what does this innocent soul deserve to be murdered rather brutally? Moreso, despite her shangled body, there was no single trace of fingerprint, no hair, no tracks of the suspect.
That made Gabby quickly conclude it was the something not from this world.
Guilt wrapped her chest like celophane.
She continued to cry, as she know it's the only thing she could do. She felt angry. It was because of her, wasn't it?
Poor poor Tiwari...
Her beautiful face seemed unrecognizable, and her body seems like a brutal piece of abstract art. The torn pieces of her red dress, and her beautiful blonde wavy hair, was the only hint of who she was.
Gabby crumpled her fists.
Finn noticed, and wipes his own tears while trying to stop his weakened knees to fail himself.
Their friends have left just an hour ago, promising to come back after work, but Gabby insisted on staying, Finn must be feeling like hell.
FINN: Her parents would come here in 20 minutes, they must have felt very upset that I couldn't protect her. I wish I was there when she was alone.
GABBY: It's not your fault. If anything...(it was probably mine...)
Finn looks at her for a brief second, what was she going to say?
FINN: What?
GABBY: Nothing...I just...hope she could have..she could have called me one last time. I...really miss her already.
Finn nods his head. They weren't allowed to see her mangled body anymore, but...he'd rather see it one last time as well...everything happened so swiftly, it was too much to absorb.
Jerico felt awkward, he didn't know much about Tiwari as much as they do but she was sweet. Too bad she died too young, too quickly, too gruesome.
...
Gabby went home from the hospital, her eyes already feeling dry from crying. She felt anger surged inside her the moment she stepped in her room. All the negative emotion and stress she's caging in, now free from it's container.
She screamed.
Winter pitied her but there's nothing he could do.
Gabby knew it has something to do with her. With Red somehow.
They knew she was always protected, so they went to a person she loves who isn't. It must be a warning.
A freaking bad warning.
She looked at her hands, then at her laptop. She contemplates on whether to destroy it or not.
There must be something she could do to release the hate in her heart.
So she did.
She held the laptop with her bare hands, and as expected, electricity surged from the laptop to her fingers. The laptop turned hot, and eventually blacked out.
She threw it away, a bit scared but amazed.
She wondered if she could suck out a supernatural's energy.
Gabby smiled half-crazy, her eyes filled with frustration and a bit of insanity.
The woman no longer cared if she dies in the process. She'd rather so than have more of her loved ones dead. She should have died when she was young, she thought.
That way, her loved ones won't have to put so much effort into protecting her, and they won't have to suffer too.
But at the same time, some side of her wanted to be still, to stop her other self from jumping to wild ideas, begging her to collect herself. After all, if she did die, then their hardwork would be useless.
But which part of her would she choose when she's slowly getting swallowed by the darkness?
...
(Earlier)
It was a time she never thought would happen.
Just as when Vixen was paying a visit, Tiwari shows up, and gave Gabby a very questioning look.
TIWARI: Who is she?
GABBY: Huh?
Vixen felt confused too, she was sure she's in her base form, not supposed to be seen by humans.
GABBY: You can see her?
TIWARI: Of course I can see her, I'm not blind. Anyways, I like her style. Oooh, why is she facing the couch? Is she reenacting a scene?
GABBY: Ah, yeah...
VIXEN: How can she see me? Wait-
TIWARI: Uh, don't be too absorb with the role sis.
Vixen knew the horror if a human would begin to see a reaper without the blessing of Soul-seeing eyes. She wished she was just mistaken, she wished it wasn't true. But she knew there's a dark meaning when they would.
She didn't saw Winter, who was sitting on the couch, on his base form as well.
Tiwari saw a red reaper.
A death by murder...
When Tiwari left after hanging out with them(ignoring Winter's presence), Vixen
was about to explain herself to Gabby, but remembered that if they interfered with death, she'll vanish.
She hid the thing for herself, and Winter didn't spoke a word about it either.
Vixen knew she was about to die after she goes home.
She was going to die a painful death, although she doesn't know who would cause her such agony. Such a shame, before, Red saw that she'll live till 75, but now...it all changed the moment someone plotted to kill her.
...
Tiwari was at home, just finished reading Finn's draft for a dream book he so wanted to publish. She giggled every now and then, proud of Finn's achievement of finishing a book.
But her attention was quickly snatched by a noise coming from her kitchen.
She closed the book then looked around.
She snatches her phone to dial a number but a spider crept to her finger.
She quickly jolted in response and blew the spider away.
TIWARI: I just cleaned the ceilings yesterday! Aw, look! My phone fell!
She bends down to reach it, but a voice called out to her.
"Come here,"
TIWARI: Okay, just who are you?
She angrily said.
Her courage quickly disappeared however, when she saw a creature with horns smile at her the moment she rose her head.
TIWARI: Who are you?! I'm calling the police!
Silas laughed then quickly kicked her to the sofa, snatching the phone and looking at it.
There were many pictures of her and Gabby together, the girl in Silas' dreams. The one whom Jinko said was Red's interest.
SILAS: Great job, Jinko. We'll play with her a bit.
Jinko comes forward, his eyes a little more pitiful than before. He felt very sorry that he must do it, but he couldn't back down now. Silas could kill him any time, and he must be of use to continue forward.
Heart no longer avenging, he felt like he wanted to close his eyes the moment he handed Silas the knife from her kitchen.
SILAS: Be a good girl and don't scream as much.
Tiwari was about to, but Silas quickly cut down her tongue.
She cried and cried, trying to hit Silas with everything available. The pillows, her vase, even the book Finn gave her. But she was weakened and weakened from every slash she recieves.
JINKO: Can't we just kill her quickly?
Jinko said in an annoyed voice, but inside him, he was just pitying her state.
Silas shooks his head.
SILAS: But I'm having fun. It's been a hundred years since I've last done this.
JINKO: Don't you think we're wasting time?
SILAS: Nope. The frustration in that green-eyed girl's heart will make her weaker. She'll stay inside her house for sure, making Red have no choice but be there as well.
JINKO: Great...but how are we going to convince Hanayo and his pets to come with us, when it comes to abducting an innocent girl?
SILAS: Make up a story. Tell them Gabby wanted the eye for Red to win her affection. Easy. Hanayo's still a child despite being so old. It'll be easy. His kindness and lack of suspicion makes him very weak to lies. It's fine.
JINKO: And what if it don't work?
SILAS: It will.
JINKO: Okay, but you tell him that made up story of yours. There's no way I'd tell him that.
Silas smiles, then looks at Tiwari's body once again. She wasn't moving, but her chest indicates she's still alive.
SILAS: This girl is a fighter, huh? I wonder if cleaning her intestines out would finally put her to rest.
Tiwari heard, but only tears managed to escape her eyes.
She has so many questions. Of what these creatures are...if Red was the danger to her friend...how it all started..
She wanted to fight back.
To have her questions answered.
But she knew it was all over for her.
She closed her eyes, as she felt the blade enter her stomach.
"Gabby...They're here..."
