Chapter 81 - Episode 79: GOOD AND EVIL INTENTIONS

Murasaki was busy watching tv, while slurping on some cereal and checking his phone from time to time. He yawned after failing to find anything interesting to watch. He felt irritated then switched off the tv, resuming on finishing his cereal bowl.

He then heard someone knock on his door. Which slightly made him jump. He laughs after realizing that it was just Tiwari. Who fixes her hair before entering.

MURASAKI: What brings you here?

TIWARI: Don't tell me you've forgotten my text.

MURASAKI: Oh, oh sorry. I...I quite tend to forget certain things.

TIWARI: So...um, you kinda have a...

Tiwari points at her own chin, signalling him to wipe off his own. Murasaki quickly gets it, embarrassed, he wipes off his chin that was once wet with milk.

TIWARI: I'm sorry, I may have bothered your...cereal.

MURASAKI: Oh, nevermind that. So...uh, what do you want to know?

The blonde pulls a paper from her pocket and opened it.

Tiwari was about to speak, when she coughed a bit, destroying the suspense.

TIWARI: Hahah, sorry. Um, so...what are your intentions about my best friend? Hm? Spill it all out. And what would you do to make a living for her, hm? I don't see you working.

MURASAKI: I have made a lot of mangas before that are earning me money now. And sometimes I also make ost(s) for anime series. I'm taking a break, that's all.

TIWARI: Oh, I see...and well, uh, what about her?

MURASAKI: What...about her?

TIWARI: Yeah, why did you like her? Stop with the because she's pretty crap, I want to hear something else.

MURASAKI: I didn't like her for that. I like her for her soul.

TIWARI: Oh, wow...poetic. But...how come I've never heard of you before? And you...you suddenly came out of nowhere?

MURASAKI: My mother...my mother was a bit controlling.

TIWARI: I see...but what if you two get together? How about your mom?

MURASAKI: She's dead.

TIWARI: Oh geez, sorry...sorry! I...I really didn't mean to...

MURASAKI: It's okay. I moved on from it.

TIWARI: How much do you know from her then?

MURASAKI: What?

TIWARI: Okay, you know what? Scrap that, just fill his form that I'm reading. Here.

She hands him the paper, then Murasaki looks at her in confusion.

MURASAKI: With the number of questions written here, I'm surprised you didn't wrote what my favorite color is.

TIWARI: Oh, shut up. I just want to know if you and her are compatible. I don't like her getting hurt, you know?

MURASAKI: Such a thoughtful friend, but...I...I genuinely care about her, you know?

TIWARI: Really? Then what's your zodiac?

MURASAKI: Oh come on, quit with that stuff, I don't believe that.

TIWARI: What's your blood type?

MURASAKI: O! Now, are we okay?

TIWARI: Gabby's type O too. Then good, your babies will be healthy.

MURASAKI: O...kay?

TIWARI: Are you reading the paper? Read number 45.

MURASAKI: You want to know...if there's any disease running down from my family? What the hell?

TIWARI: Oh come on, thats very important.

MURASAKI: I don't even have a dad. And me and my mother's relatives are not close. So I don't know. Please, if you don't want me for her, just say so. But hear me out, I love her, and I won't stop, okay? I won't stop until you see me as good enough for her.

Tiwari was shocked and impressed by his determination that she simply clapped her hands and congratulates him.

TIWARI: Good that you're not a wimp! Gabby likes strong men. I think your personality is suited for her.

MURASAKI: Ugh, if only she thinks that way.

Murasaki turns away, still thinking of what to do to make the red hair reciprocate his feelings. Tiwari feels his sadness so she pokes his back to catch his attention.

TIWARI: I'll help you with that.

Murasaki turns, then smiled.

MURASAKI: No, thanks. I want to do the efforts on my own. I don't want to bother you.

TIWARI: Well, I think you really want to be with her. And you're quite the fighter too, I think you won't end up a disaster for my little princess. So let me help you.

Murasaki hesitates for a while, before finally agreeing to accept the kind offer.

...

Gabby went home from work, where Red was still keeping an eye on her. Because of exhaustion however, she almost forgets he was there until she almost falls from dizziness, and the reaper immediately catches her.

GABBY: Damn, I'm beat.

RED: Yeah, your eyes tell a lot.

Gabby sits down on her couch, then relaxes her back.

RED: Want me to co-

He was about to do something other than to protect her, something out of concern, but when he realized that, he immediately stops.

He zips his mouth and just watched her fall asleep.

Seeing how helpless she looks by that time, he slaps himself to stop falling for her even more. Then realized that she might have been cold.

He goes to her room, and wished he shouldn't have. It was a mess.

He looks back at the woman again then irritated, he tried to stop himself from yelling at her in annoyance. Was she that busy that she forgets to clean up her room? How funny.

He pulls the blanket, and quickly wrapped it on her. True to her words, Gabby was the type of woman that is more suitable for outside work. She seriously needs a househusband or a nanny, else her house wouldn't look like a house. He wonders how she managed to survive without him.

He enters the room again and as he was cleaning, he saw a piece of paper folded under her bedroom. When he opens it out of curiousity, he felt a bit hot after realizing that she used to draw him when he's not aware.

He felt a bit proud, and less disappointed at the young woman. Then, afraid that it would go to waste, he stuffs it on his pocket for him to keep and treasure.

Although he knows that he shouldn't, he can't ignore her efforts that easily.

After succesfully cleaning her room, he walks back to find her completely occupying the couch, sleeping comfortably with the blanket he had covered her with. See? This little one can't even fix her bed. Surely she won't be able to do anything mean. She was as harmless as a bug.

And Tanken needs to see that.

When she wakes up, and is fed, he'll try to talk to her about it. Surely she'll accept that.

Tiwari knocks at her door, and knowing that Gabby was still asleep, Red was wondering if he'd open it or not.

TIWARI: My...my sister just finished taking care of your dog now... Uh, is anyone home?

Red wakes up Gabby, but she was asleep as butter. Tiwari won't leave.

So Red had no other choice left.

The door flung open, with no one there but a sleeping Gabby. That weirded Tiwari out. Then the dog ran from her arms and quickly rans out to an empty space of the house. Barking and wiggling its tail at nothingness.

Tiwari felt afraid. Was this a supernatural phenomenon? Worse, her best friend is right there, sleeping like a baby unaware of all this things.

She quickly ran towards her best friend to wake her up. Shaking her and everything, until she opens her eyes in confusion.

GABBY: Tiwari! What are you doing here?

TIWARI: I...I just came and...and the door opened and the dog...the dog was barking at something, but...but it was all thin air!

GABBY: Calm down. Calm down. Uh.

Gabby looks at Red umimpressed, knowing that he might have traumatized her friend.

GABBY: My door is broken. So it opens sometimes like that. Don't worry, I'll get it fixed soon.

TIWARI: B-but...the dog. It...look!

Gabby does, and she saw how the puppy would go towards Red. That appears like thin air to her friend.

Gabby awkwardly smiles and comforts her.

GABBY: It's a puppy, Tiwari. Puppies do that. They like to play around and stuff, nothing out of the ordinary.

TIWARI: ARE you sure?! Are you sure no one died here?

GABBY: Died here? No, of course not. No one had died here. Promise.

TIWARI: Geez, I was worried for nothing.

GABBY: Yeah, that's why you shouldn't worry, okay? Don't worry about me.

TIWARI: But get your freaking door fixed, that's dangerous!

GABBY: I will. Thank you for your concern.

Tiwari's fear subside a bit, and after making sure that she's okay, she holds and squeezes her hand one last time before waving goodbye. After she left, Gabby breathes in relief then looks at Red bitterly.

GABBY: What the hell dude?

RED: You were asleep with no care on the world! How was I to wake you up?!

GABBY: Then just call me on my phone. My phone always wakes me up!

RED: Well damn, sorry. No need to be loud.

GABBY: You almost gave her a heart attack! That girl is afraid of ghosts!

RED: Sorry. And hey, it's this puppy's fault to, he misses me so much.

GABBY: Don't blame the puppy. Is it his fault he loves you so much?

RED: Guess not.

Red picks the dog up, then cradles it into his arms like a baby. The dog barked in happiness, wagging it's tail further and rubbing it's head on Red's chest.

RED: So adorable. You're so adorable! What's his name again?

GABBY: I named him Storm.

RED: Storm? Oh, okay, pretty cool. Oh and by the way, want to meet with one of my new found friends?

GABBY: The snow girl?

RED: Yeah, Tanken. Haven't I mentioned the name yet?

GABBY: Maybe, and maybe I just forgot or something.

RED: Oh, okay then. So are you in?

GABBY: ARE you sure she won't kill me?

RED: Of...of course she won't kill you. Kill you? Hahahah, she won't...she won't...you know, kill you. Hahahha, that's ridiculous. *fake coughs* Anyways, are you in?

GABBY: Your answer makes me nervous.

RED: I assure you a 100%, that she won't, or else she'll be crushed by m-

GABBY: Isn't she stronger than you though?

RED: By my friend Humility.

GABBY: Oh, that makes more sense. If you put it at that then fine. Just make sure she won't kill me, alright?

RED: 100% guaranteed that she won't.

...

(Meanwhile)

JINKO: 100% guarantee that you finish the job, okay?

TANKEN: Of course, she's just a human after all...I can handle weaklings.

JINKO: Good...because if you don't, know things would be big trouble.
