Harry went MISSING. They couldn't find him anywhere. Even Vixen, who was also there to look after him was clueless as to where the reaper went.
All she knew is that for the past few days the once so jolly yellow reaper was suddenly not himself.
Humility, while concerned and alarmed, decided to not bother Harry so long as he doesn't receive a distress signal.
HUMILITY: Maybe he needs some time alone. And I'll happily give him that. Please don't tell Red. It would trouble him greatly.
VIXEN: O...oops?
HUMILITY: *sighs* It will distract him from his...ugh never mind. Maybe he understands in his own way...what I do hope is...this isn't serious.
VIXEN: I sure hope as well. This year had been hellish recently. Good thing we don't grow wrinkles and stress marks. Especially you, forever 17 in that form.
HUMILITY: *smiles* Well, thank you. But...I uh, need to go. If Harry is gone till winter, tell me. I'll find him.
VIXEN: OH sure, sure.
...
Harry, curious of what his past really was, decided to travel around.
On his voyage, he meets an extremely beautiful goddess like entity. With pink hair, clothing and thick lips. She was enchanting.
His face however, remained unaffected, his mind was too focused on getting what he want.
The fairy introduced herself as Arya.
ARYA: Hi. You seem to be bothered. What's the matter?
HARRY: I forgot who I used to be.
ARYA: Well, okay. So what do you want?
HARRY: My memories. I asked the other entities for help and they all seem to describe your place.
ARYA: My, my. Okay. So you wanted a drink from the well of memories? Ask my sister Laudette. She owns the well. I only own the mountains.
HARRY: Alright then.
He treaks up the highest peak, in a shape of a puma. The hike was exhausting, but he made it after a lot of almost 'trip and fall' moments.
He felt amazed after realizing that Laudette looks exactly like her sister.
LAUDETTE: Hi! Wait...you're back?
HARRY: Back? We've never met before.
LAUDETTE: OH. Silly me. Right, you forgot. So...do you want to have your memories back cuz the last time you don't seem to like them...
HARRY: I just feel like half of me is missing. I think I'm ready to find out who I really am.
LAUDETTE: Okay. And what do you have for a cup of it?
HARRY: This.
Laudette's eyes sparked in great joy and excitement as Harry placed the black gown of the already gone-queen Monica.
LAUDETTE: A treasure! I'll take that! And you are free to drink as many as you want! So long as...you don't drink the whole well, I guess.
HARRY: Oh, right.
He stares at the crystal clear water, then his focus remained on his reflection. The water was so still, he could almost swear it was like staring into a mirror. He gulped and slowly pulls the pail of water up to get some of his memories back.
Was he really ready to know about his past? He still wasn't sure. But he could only hope.
He carefully scooped a handful of water, and drank.
His eyes teared up in moments. He finally remembers. He finally recalls!
HARRY: I...finally...I finally get it...I now know who I am!
...
Red, with his concern growing for Harry, decided to summon Humility.
RED: You know that I can't just leave her alone, right?
HUMILITY: Yes, I know that. But you do know that I am still taking care of Carrie. How dare you interrupt me? (Said in a neutral face)
Red smiled and pat his friend's shoulder.
RED: Any improvements? (He said with a knowing face)
Humility's face suddenly turned scarlet red, even his eyes that usually has white sharp pupils turned bright purple after hearing such statement.
HUMILITY: Hm, fine. Fine. I'll go. But Carrie will stay here with you.
RED: Oh. Sure.
HUMILITY: Red...
RED: Why so serious all of a sudden? What's the matter?
HUMILITY: Thank you.
Red felt quite shock and uncertain of the reason he said that. But he nodded anyways.
RED: You too.
Then away he went.
...
Humility visited the spirit realm one last time, looking at the still healing Carrie.
HUMILITY: How 's your back?
CARRIE: My wings will grow after a year. It's still pretty painful though.
HUMILITY: I'm sorry.
CARRIE: You said that for the 30th time already, forget about it.
Humility blushed evidently, then reached to his pockets. Carrie soon notices the red tinge on his cheeks because of his white complexion.
CARRIE: You're really handsome.
She said while brushing off some of his gray bangs away from his eyes.
CARRIE: Please always know that.
Humility's face softens more and more. He then put a pink flower on the side of her ear. Then grabbed a bit of her white hair, slowly pulling it on his lips and gently planting a kiss on them.
HUMILITY: Bye.
CARRIE: Bye.
Her purple eyes elated in joy as she received his little gift of admiration. For years of waiting, he have never had the guts to do this kind of things to her. It seems like he was slowly getting more confident.
...
It took Humility a lot of days to locate Harry. He even did a lot of talking so the creatures would tell him hints of his whereabouts.
Eventually he met the keeper of the well.
HUMILITY: *speaks in ancient fairy language*
(Have anyone been here first? White hair? Yellow eyes?)
LAUDETTE: *speaks in ancient fairy language*
(Yes. He took a drink on my well. He moved somewhere else though. What's the matter? He, your friend?)
HUMILITY: *speaks in ancient fairy language*
(Yes. Well, do you have any ideas where he went?)
LAUDETTE: *speaks in ancient fairy language*
(Sadly, I do not.)
HUMILITY: *speaks in ancient fairy language*
(Alright. I'll be going then. Thank you very much.)
LAUDETTE: *speaks in ancient fairy language*
(No problem, and anytime, handsome.)
HUMILITY: Mmm.....kay?
But unfortunately, Harry already left.
That made his head ache even more. He swear his irritation is getting stronger than his concern, but still, He's his friend.
He had no option but find him.
...
Harry, on his younger years, was much different than he was right now.
He was an older brother to his sister-Helen.
She was his world...
Perhaps that was the reason why he is always mature and wary of all possible danger that might happen to her.
After all, she's all he got left. And a small lot near a rural area, where farming is the most ideal job that people there takes.
They were once a happy family until both of their parents were sadly killed by a very terrible illness.
The mother died first, followed by their father.
He was just 13 then.
And because of it, he strived to make a living on the everchanging world. He farmed, he fished, he carried big logs, sew, and climbed trees.
He did everything he could to earn money to feed his sister. Who was by then just 9 years old.
Sometimes he looks at her sleeping face, and swore he could see his mother.
He would cry, only when she doesn't see.
Helen believes that her brother was strong, resilient and always smiling. But deep inside he was just a kid. Striving to live, breaking down.
Harry hides his hunger whenever he comes home with little food. Lie to her that he was already full.
He would insist to watch her sleep, telling her that he would keep her nightmares away, and she would fall back to sleep, comfortablably and happily, but deep inside Harry was there, half depressed and sleep deprived.
He would pray. Pray that somehow on their little home, and nipa roof, a miracle would happen.
Their auntie, Raya, who was just ten houses away, wanted to get his sister. And told him that she can only take one of them.
Helen, though wanted comfort and a nice warm bed to sleep, denied the offer thinking of her brother first.
HELEN: Brother would be lonely.
RAYA: But sweetie, your brother will be fine.
HELEN: I love brother so much. I don't want to leave him. He loves me too and would be very sad if I go with you.
RAYA: Harry, please convince her.
HARRY: Uh, um. Okay. I'll talk to her.
HELEN: No! I don't want to go with her!
Helen ran away to her small room, sobbing, thinking that her brother wanted to give her away. Raya leaves, disappointed and upset, while Harry ccomforts her.
HARRY: Helen? Are you okay?
HELEN: Don't you love me, anymore?
HARRY: Of course, l love you. Very much.
HELEN: Promise me you won't leave my side. Ever.
Harry couldn't help but cry. He smiles and then hugs her, not wanting his eyes to show off tears.
He couldn't feel like this.
He should be the stronger one.
HARRY: I...love you so much.
...
Harry one day was walking with his sister, they were going to their auntie. Their auntie, saddened that he wasn't able to convince her, agreed to take them both instead.
It was supposed to be a happy day.
Until three long poisonous snakes showed up.
There was only one way towards the pathway leading to their auntie's hut, and as the bigger brother, he needs to protect her.
They wanted to get back but noticed that for a reason, and maybe because the fields were washed by the rain last night, there, he saw two snakes coming towards them.
There must have been a snake nest near them, that they were being overly protective.
Scared to lose her sister, he although having qualms and great fear of snakes, decided to kill them one by one.
He succeeds.
But unfortunately he had been bitten by the last one.
His sister cried as she saw the bleeding foot of her brother.
Harry held her hand and even with the overbearing pain, made his way to the hut.
Helen cries, knowing he was hurt.
Dizzy and already half losing his vision, he hugs her for the last time.
HARRY: I love you.
She was his world.
He held her hand tightly, and because hospitals are far from their area, he didn't make it till tomorrow.
He died.
And so was their promise.
The last memory of him, having been the weeping face of his sister.
He felt all the more happy knowing he had saved her.
He felt at peace.
But he also felt guilty.
And his guilt is what drove him to just forget about it. He missed her so much. Sometimes he felt as if its too hard to regret something for eternity.
...
Harry's flash back stops, and his eyes began to water.
He thanks the fairy of the well and decided to find their ancestors.
And perhaps, even visit her tomb.
He felt like he was finally free.
He was hurt, true but its better than wondering who he really was.
He was a brother.
And he felt like all those years he found the missing piece.
He found love.
HARRY: Wait for me, Helen.
He whispers to himself as he searches for the place they grew up on.
She was..his world...and she still is.
