"Bai Xiao Chun!"
Uncle Li roared at me when I was in the middle of practicing in a bamboo grove that I grew in front of my private villa inside the academy. He seized me by the scruff of the neck, hopped onto his flying sword and sped toward some weird dangerous valley before throwing me into a swamp where all the other students were.
"Wait!? What are you doing?!" I hollered.
"Junior brother Bai!" Xia Yuan Ba called out to me as I sank into the bog. He grabbed me by the hand and dragged me out. "What are you doing? That's dangerous!"
"Wait, what's going on here?!" I demanded, looking confused. "And why is everyone calling me Bai Xiao Chun?"
"The preliminary trial for the Xing Hao Island tournament!" Xia Yuan Ba reminded me. "And isn't your name Bai Xiao Chun?"
"NO, IT'S NOT!" I bellowed furiously. "I'm Shu Cong! Not Bai Xiao Chun! What, did you think I possess a will eternal or something?"
