We managed to get rid of the other pursuers relatively easily, dispatching the survivors without suffering casualties.
However, our brief victory came at a cost. Even though the bodies we left lying in the wake of our escape belonged to none of us, we had picked up a few new injuries and had expended quite a bit of qi. We were nearing our physical limits.
Yet there were still a good number of enemy squads hot on our heels. Unfortunately, we didn't have a choice but to keep moving. Our pursuers weren't kind enough to allow us time to rest. Sooner or later, they would find us here.

In addition to shaking off pursuers, we also had to keep an eye out for predatory spirit beasts that might be looking to exploit our current exhausted and wounded state.
