As it turned out, there wasn't any Monarch-ranked spirit beast guarding the tomb. There was a Commander-ranked Silver Wolf General, however, but it was easily defeated through the combined efforts of all the cultivators present.
Yun Che was the one who finished the Silver Wolf General off, as befitting the typical cultivation story protagonist. Swinging his gigantic black sword, he used Heavenly Wolf Slash to slay the wolf-type spirit beast. Yeah, Yun Che could see the irony in that and he reveled in it.
After the Silver Wolf General toppled over, Yun Che then slung the heavy sword over his back and turned around to face his compatriots.
"I think that's it. I don't sense any other enemies around."
