"Shu Cong! You are all right!" Jian Hu raised his head when he spotted me running toward him and the rest of the team. He did a double take when he saw that there were a lot less people left in Xiao Zhang's gang than before.
Only Xiao Lang and four other people were left from a gang that was originally twelve men strong.
"The rest…"
"They're gone," I replied simply.
"Even Xiao Zhang?" Jian Hu asked, turning pale. His doubt was only natural. Xiao Zhang was the strongest cultivator in his gang, having attained seventh level of Heaven realm.
"Yeah." Xiao Lang wiped the tears from his eyes. "The boss sacrificed himself to blow up Luo Hou so that the rest of us could escape."
"The worst thing is that Luo Hou is probably still not dead."
"What?!" Xiao Lang and the other members of his gang turned to gape at me in shock and rage. I shook my head.
"I sensed his qi. Maybe he was hurt, but he was definitely still alive."
