After thinking of potential fanfic ideas and researching abilities that would be cool to see in a Naruto fic, I checked some of the characters from the Boruto Manga/Anime that are cool abd found a character that interests me.
I chose Shinki, the adoptive son of Gaara.

Village: Sunagakure
Pairing: Temari? Pakura (You could make it that she was born in Naruto's era too.)
Kekkei Genkai: Magnet Release
Nature Type: Wind, Earth and Lightning

Lets get started, first of all I think the story would work better if Shinki didn't have future knowledge so he wouldn't be a reincarnated MC. (But it would still work if the MC was reincarnated.)
Shinki is an orphan, due to his kekkei genkai that he couldn't control, he was ostracised by the other children at the orphanage. One day when he was playing alone, he was approached by Gaara (back when he tried to be friendly with the villagers.)
They became friends instantly, Shinki noticed the way that villagers looked at Gaara and grew to become overprotective of Gaara making sure that no would hurt his first friend, he decided to gets stronger in order to protect Gaara.
When Gaara's father found out that Shinki possesed Magnet Release, he decided to adopt Shinki making him and Gaara brothers.
After graduating from the Academy, he joined a different team (Pakura and an OC?)
His and Gaara's team were nominated for the chunin exams however Shinki was against the plan of betraying Konoha by releasing Shukaku.
Gaara's safety being his number one priority, he decides to inform the Hokage of Orochimaru's and Suna's plan in hope of helping Gaara.
After the chunin exams, Shinki also participated in the Sasuke Retrieveval misson.
(Idk if you want Gaara to become Kazekage or Shinki, but i went with Gaara)
After finding out that their Kage was murdered, the council selected Gaara as their Kazekage, making Shinki his advisor. (Something like what Shikamaru was to Naruto)
After Timeskip.
Gaara and Shinki vs Sasori and Deidara after they invaded for the One Tails.
